I asked a good friend of mine which ornithopod I should start modeling, and she came up with Maiasaura peeblesorum. I think it's a great choice, and a very basic body plan which I can then alter to make different duck-bills. What do you guys think? Yay, nay? :)

definitely, Maiasaura is a great standard. By the way I'm gonna have to pick up that Triceratops! When should it be ready in 1:40?
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

if you want to make a nich hadrosaur why dont you make a small ornithopod called drinker?
have you heard about it?

I will try to make him available today! I'll post an update as soon as I'm done, thanks for considering!

I haven't heard of it before, are there good references for their bodyplan around? I was planning on doing Zalmoxes at some point, since they apparently also lived in Austria, which is a good reason for me.

Alright, I spent pretty much all evening, trying to get the Triceratops into 1/40 and making it work with shapeways. I kept screwing me over, again and again. I am currently trying the last attempt of today, but won't be uploading until tomorrow (since that takes a while as well). I'll inform you guys once I managed to succeed.

Maybe it's just me, but it appears to me that shapeways got worse in handling for uploading models and fixing thin wall areas (a feature built into shapeways). I'll try as much as I can to get the Trike up there, but he'll be rather expensive (~100€ for WSF and much, much more for FUD, due to the amount of volume taken up within the printer). For now, have an update on his colors:

More update on the Triceratops male, as well as the beginnings of a female version:

And here is the base for all upcoming hadrosaurs (for now: Maiasaura )

fabricious

Alright folks, I managed to make the Trike available in 1/40. There shouldn't be an issue with thin walls any more (even though there appears to be a slight bug on the site with the changing tools).

I hope this is convenient for everyone who was interested, I'd love to see how the prints came out, if anyone gets one!

An illustration, for a change! Hesperocyon, the 'first dog', done for Earth Archives.

Everything_Dinosaur

Great sketches, I particularly like the blue abelisaurid.

Current work in progress: Maiasaura peeblesorum (this one would go well with a certain Daspletosaurus that I already started working on, wouldn't it... *cough cough*):

fabricious

No reconstruction work this time, but I assumed that there are at least some fans of the 'Predator' series in here as well. Have some fanart in progress:

Thanks, TQ! I'm quite satisfied with them myself. :) Not bad for a first ornithopod, I think.

LophoLeeVT

hmmmm....it looks nice! is it a male or female? cuz if it was a male it would have some bright colors or something spezial to
attract the females. however if it is a female,i suppose that it is awesome. i mean even if it wwas a male, it is still awesome.
you have talent!

Alright, here is a first pose for the Maiasaura! She is curiously sniffing the air. Shapeways, anyone?
