REBOR general discussion

While I don't mind the features, part of me does wish they should either stick to making models, or design full blown action figures at this point. I have a feeling most of these future releases will probably stick out like a sore thumb, except alongside other Rebor products. They'd probably stand out from other models with the arm articulation, and they wouldn't have enough articulation to come across as an action figure, well detailed they might be. They're kind of in an awkward middle stage at this point.

Also Shonisaurus, you might be unaware, but there are plenty of company's that make action figures with lots of articulation that are more intended for adult collector's, then children, these days. S. H. Figuarts, Good Smile Company's Figma and Nendoroid, NECA, and Play Arts Kai come to mind. Of course there's probably lots more out there. Granted none of those have created any dinosaur figures to my knowledge (which is probably why David Silva started the Beasts of the Mesozoic line). However I understand you just prefer models, and I respect that. I like both action figures and models myself, but they are separate things of course.

Kaiyodo did a JP licensed Tyrannosaurus in their Revoltech line, it's about equivalent to NECA.

It would be nice if REBOR would fully commit to making action figures, it definitely suits their aesthetic style better and at this point it seems like that's moreso what even they want to be making.

sauroid

i hope REBOR would branch out to dragon figures someday.
"you know you have a lot of prehistoric figures if you have at least twenty items per page of the prehistoric/dinosaur section on ebay." - anon.

I checked their FB page the other day out of curiosity, they said they won't do dragons because McFarlane already did a great job with theirs.

I think that with dragons and other fantasy creatures they could easily exaggerate with the gimmicks, but it'd be interesting nonetheless.

That's depressing. I think REBOR could have made even larger scale dragons, perhaps, with articulation of the wings and stuff. LEDS for fire effects.

Maybe REBOR could do cryptids? Hopefully, they don't simply decline just because Mezco did them...

This, great idea! Try to ask them on Facebook if you can.

We are Rebor! Time for full awesome over-drive! Can't wait for people to call us awesomebros for this one, lol. Up next in our Museum Quality line of figures is "Jesus Christ", the Andrewsarchus! Get excited, and get ready for this January 2018 release!
Here is the image Rebor posted with it:

Looks pretty good.

I initially thought it was another one of Rebor's classic jokes, but then I checked their Facebook and there's nothing like that, so what's the point?

On a serious note, they have posted a new image of the "Chickenosaurus" embryo, maybe it's the next release in either the club selection or the oddities line.

Shonisaurus

For now there are many models of the projected Rebor company, among them the ankylosaurus, titanoboa, deinosuchus, sarcosuchus, dunkleosteus? (it is an assumption in mine unfounded), triceratops (not yet confirmed), tyrannosaurus called by the company as vastatosaurus and velociraptor Gunn and Rose, apart from these is the velociraptor "Sweeney" companion of Pete. And the dinosaur embryo among other beautiful but expensive figures.

They have several fronts open so I think that when they start to market these figures will be one after another. My favorites in this case are apart from the herbivorous dinosaurs, deinosuchus, sarcosuchus and titanoboa.  :P

I'm excited for this!

Good to see them moving away from their Raptor obsession but a disappointing lack of Sauropods!, and too bad the Triceraatops is not confirmed, though there has been no shortage of this species lately. And another Dunkleosteus (maybe). This animal has received a lot of figures in the last few years. Interesting news - more for the Asian bootleggers to work with; Rebor products do seem to be a target for 'homages'!

Takama

Looks like we have a Dilophosaurus

Shonisaurus

By the comments of the users in the facebook forum of Rebor is a figure that will be based on the dilophosaurus of Jurassic Park.

What I do not understand because they do not soon release figures in the market, they are all precious, the only thing that worries me is that they release them once and for all. That way one will have to buy little by little since otherwise it is ruin. This year Rebor has not yet commercialized any dinosaur or prehistoric animal.

I hope that soon your titanoboa, sarcosuchus and deinosuchus are soon in the market. Although on the sarcosuchus not even its prototype appears.

Of course the Rebor figures with their modern artistic philosophy promise positively.  :)

and here i thought they'd have a Giganotosaurus in the works i guess ill cri for now lol

Dilophosaurus, yes! Despite here we can't properly see the head sculpt I'm pretty confident it'll be the JP version. And no frill to be seen, so hopefully crybabies won't start wishing them a lawsuit by Universal for "copyright infringement", as usual. Hope it won't take ages to be released though.
