I still need to free up a couple of stiff joints on mine, and I'm not sure how far I can push some of the joints! The heads of these figures are really outstanding, the total lack of shrink-wrapping really adds to the realism. Very impressive stuff!

Just out of curiosity, how many people (who ordered through BackerKit) are awaiting their raptors? My raptors have been 'in transit' for over a week now, is anyone else still waiting on theirs?

Nice! Congratulations, these models are stunning and worth every penny, regardless of the niggles 😊 My standard mongoliensis is rather scuffed in those parts, too! You're right, they must have had a rather rough time of it in the factory, because I had to thoroughly heat the joints on mine to free them, and I can't stop fiddling with the model but the paint has withstood that treatment without any signs of wear at all, so far ;)

Here's a nice review of the Tsaagan by Matt Martyniuk http://dinogoss.blogspot.com/2018/06/review-beasts-of-mesozoic-tsaagan-by.html
Absolutely, I couldn't wait to get home from work today to play about a bit more with my Velociraptor. Feels like being a kid again. ;D Thanks for linking that review, great read - I'm a bit of a 'casual' dinosaur fan in that I'm not up on the latest science, so I love reading pieces by people who know what they're on about. I have similar feelings as the author about the visible hands, but again, it's an overall minor thing on a fantastic set of figures.

Terrific images of a fantastic model. Local supplier Mini Zoo may be stocking these soon (fingers crossed that it all comes to pass!) so I may be finally able to get my hands on one of them. Without paying an arm and a leg, as seems to be the case at the moment. I'll be aiming for the brown version of the Dromeosaurus, really like the look of that one, though there is no shortage of candidates.
Thanks! :) Fingers crossed they hit that retailer! I'm actually kicking myself a bit, as some UK shops have now got this line in stock after I shelled out for US shipping and custom duty - woops! The brown Dromeosaurus looks great - lovely, understated realism in the colouration with a very intense expression.

Are you receiving yours through ParcelForce? Customs are a pain via them, I've had things ordered from overseas get stuck for literally a month before moving. :( I've lucked out with my Backerkit orders in that I've already received one and the other two have cleared customs and are just waiting on me to pay the fees.

I received my BotM yesterday from ED. I love them. I was looking forward to having them since the beginning of the year when ED announced they would distribute them. After all the comments raised I didn't really know what to expect,  but they haven't disappointed me! In fact I am thinking to get a couple more!
I will take some pictures of my Pyroraptor and Acheroraptor in the following days and put them in my thread ;D

Not sure, I think it's with USPS? I bought 3 on BackerKit, 1 on Etsy, both shipped with USPS and both are showing that they're at my local airport. Usually though, when this happens, I usually get a letter from HMRC the next day saying that there's a customs fee. It's been well over a week for both orders and no letter has appeared :/

EDIT: Nevermind! Literally just got an email confirming that they're being held in customs

Decided to take my Saurornitholestes pair out to the local wildlife marsh for some photos! Unfortunately the Fans Choice guy's toe is twisted the wrong way (and now every time I look at this picture I get super annoyed haha). Might have to retake it some time and fix his toe, but I really love how it turned out otherwise ;D

Great shot! 😁 That fan's choice version really is a thing of beauty. I like the bulk of it, and for some reason it reminds me a little of a bull terrier. It's got that slightly sinister, grizzled look, as though it could really mean business if it wanted to!

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks of dogs when I see these raptors, the Atrociraptor has always given me Staffie / Pitbull vibes

Hey all, got a few of these figures and went looking for a forum discussing this line and was happily pointed here. I'm pretty happy with them overall, but a couple of them have the underbite some other people have mentioned. I've seen some people say they've shaved parts down, and others say they've used hot water treatment. Could someone give a little tutorial on how they handled this problem? I've done both types of mods before on other toys, but was hoping to get a little more direction on the best way to fix the underbite.

Yo welcome!!!! Anyway, what you need to do is get the plastic hot so that it partially melts and you can rearrange the mold. This can be done by dunking it in hot water or blowing with a hairdryer. I would never recommend physically cutting your figure, unless there's something that's not supposed to be there. Hope this helps  ;D

Edit: Darn just re-read your post. Woops :/ No, I don't have any tutorials, but I still welcome you!

Oooooh the blue Velociraptor osmolskae I ordered from Ebay is out for delivery!!! ;D

Thanks! I gave it a try with a hair dryer, and the plastic is soft enough already that it didn't take long to get it to the point of being able to manipulate and hold the jaws long enough for them to be a little more normal.

Blue Osmolskae arrived today!! So pleased with it!

Mini Minmi

Yay! What a pretty birdy. :)
That's the one you bought on eBay, yes? Any more news of your other ones?

IrritatorRaji

avatar_Mini Minmi @Mini Minmi Etsy, and yeah :D

And, the other 3, erh, that's where stuff goes sour. Royal Mail lost them. I'm angry beyond words, believe me.

Mini Minmi

OH no! I am so sorry! And you poor thing were so excited to get them!  :'(
I hope they eventually turn up.

It's just my luck, I guess

They've actually been lost for about a week. The packages are tracked and have a tracking number, tracking says the packages have been delivered last week, Friday, at 1 in the morning (which they obviously weren't). Went to the post office a few days ago and asked what was going on, gave them the tracking number and they said they couldn't track it because the number had never been through their system. They told me "this isn't ours, we can only track it if it's been through Royal Mail or Parcel Force" which was all well and dandy except the tracking history showed the package being handed over to Parcel Force when it arrived in the UK. They acknowledged that it all looked weird but told me they couldn't do anything about it.

What rotten luck.  You have my sympathy.  Why is it always the most important parcels that go missing?

I would check the courier before parcel force or the airport where the parcel arrived. Maybe one of them can help you since at your post office they said it didn't reach the parcel force's system so then somewhere before it you have to look for. I wouldn't give up yet in your place.

LeapingLaelaps

Man, I'm so sorry that your guys got lost, that seriously sucks :'(

My blue osmolskae got here yesterday, and besides one goofy eye (from one side he looks really scared lmao) He's perfect!
