The feet did turn out to be rather large... Still a minor thing for me since everything else looks great.
Note that their new photos do no show it off the base like they did with the Ceratosaurus and Yutyrannus, which I think is interesting coming out of their Ceratosaurus campaign and release in which a lot of us said that their photos advertised it as being able to stand off the base. It'll be interesting moving forward to see if they release other images of it off the base.

Ugh, I'm slightly disappointed, but only because of how close to perfection it is.  The feet are noticeably too big.  I don't see how shrinking them slightly would affect its ability to stand.  I mean, if nothing else just put pegs on the stand IMHO.  That said, still the best acro figure I've seen.

Victoria's Cantina

I love the colors! Despite how awesomely detailed it looks, the colors are what impress me the most.

What I've noticed is that the photos Acrocanthosaurus has no iris in the eye or rather pupils. I do not know if he could verify.

Great....now I can't unsee the Huge feet.  :-[

Would have preferred a removable peg to secure it to the base, but beggars can't be choosers I suppose. I new the feet would be bigger from the side view we've seen from the beginning, but that overhead view really shows how big they are. Yikes

It's also meant to hold the prey in its mouth, hence the needed extra support.  And after Papo, I dislike the idea of peg holes.
I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

Its opposite with the king trex. King have gold eyes with black "dot", this acro have black eyes with gold "dot" in the middle.

We might not have the bigger pictures needed to see the pupils.

On that note, Hercules is up on both Dan's Dinosaurs and Big Bad Toy Store.  Dan's is 79.99 while BBTS is 69.99, but BBTS is listing him as coming in like September, so I went with Dan's.  10 extra bucks to get him sooner?  I'm cool with that.  Also preordered the CollectA Feathered rex.

Part of me wishes the pose weren't so similar to WS's Acro, but there are subtle differences in the pose and the coloring is just amazing.  This guy is going to be a big stand-out on my shelf.

I think it is the angle. It probably resembles the Wild Safari style painted gold eyes.

I really like this Acro. It is hands down the best retail Acro that I have seen. It even rivals some of the best kit makers.

It does look a tad bit stocky (relative to T-rex). The WS Acro has a similar stocky build. I wonder if it characteristic for this species or if (e.g. the build) depends on artistic interpretation.

Haha. I don't think it should be an issue. How often do we look at our dinosaur toys from overhead... :D

joossa

I hope the shipping/availability date hasn't been pushed back for all retailers.

I like the eyes as shown. Makes him seem very menacing.  >:D

About the feet... People will have different preferences. They are big, but the plus is that it will be able to stand on the base (and hopefully off the base) by itself. No need for pegs, support rods, or a tripod pose. I plan on displaying him off the base on my shelf.

If not, we wouldn't have different shoe sizes. O:-)
I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

Great to know that all future REBOR products will include trays for support and stability. I am on my way to becoming a REBOR completist. I am dedicating an entire shelf to REBOR products. It now feels weird not owning a particular dinosaur in their line. I am also very much looking forward to the Mosasaur LED fossil frame (and the non-skeletal core version) and the 1/6 scale Dimorphodon maquette as well as the JW-inspired Raptor Trio.

Hercules appears to be their premier product. The colors are exceptional. I wonder if REBOR is considering making a not-so-deceased Tenontosaurus in the future...

Tenontosaurus a living, it would be wonderful I agree with you.

This Acrocanthosaurus of Rebor makes fools of the other figures of the same species from other factories.

Rebor is already for me with this my favorite company.
It's clear a lot of skill has gone into making the Rebor Acrocanthosaurus.  It's not true it makes fools of other Acrocanthosaurus figures though and it seems unnecessary to say so, particularly since some of these other Acrocanthosaurus figures clearly had research, skill and care put into them.  The Rebor Acro also looks like it might have the largest feet out of every figure of this species?  I like the Acrocanthosaurus by Battat and by Wild Safari.  So far, the Rebor Acrocanthosaurus doesn't interest me at all.

I do not deny that the Acrocanthosaurus Battat and Safari are spectacular I have to admit I'm not an expert in toy figures of prehistoric animals as it should be since the paleontological and paleoartístico point. But it must be admitted and that is another favorite with the aforementioned company that is at least better Acrocanthosaurus Collecta.

The Collecta Acrocanthosaurus I just bought the Carcharodontosaurus eerily remind me of last year.

If we only considering about the anatomy of figure itself (not considering about education card, diorama, paint, sculp, from rebor) i think comparing rebor with safari, carnegie, battat, collecta is not fair because they are totally dedicate themself to educate people only by the figure, yeah maybe sometime by their website/tag on the figure but the explanation is very short. just like Rebor said by himself that they are combining movie monster and scientific accurate dinosaur to reach all kind of dinosaur fans because every people have the own way to love dinosaur

Shadowknight1

I asked REBOR to upload the Acro pics in higher res on their Photobucket page.  Didn't actually expect a response, but a response I received!

Then I see that in the end the Acrocanthosaurus no pupils or are perhaps as discussed in the forum gold.
