I've also used the hot/cold water process for trying to correct my Papo Dilophosaurus but it keeps reverting back to its original shape. I'm wondering if using boiling water and then putting it in the freezer might be more effective. It's very frustrating.

I might just end up doing some putty and knife work with pins if I can't correct it.

Are there any rumors as to what dinosaurs Papo will release in 2015?

Well, I tried using the heat from my standing lamp in my room, but got the T. rex too close to the lamp(ie. his toes touched the bulb) and those melted slightly.  Not terribly and a few strokes of Sharpie and you'd never know.  But I don't want to try that again for very obvious reasons. :P
I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

stargatedalek

a bulb is probably not going to give the sort of spread out heat you want for this sort of thing, but rather focus it and (as you said) could cause melting

I haven't heard.   I know it's an absolute longshot, but considering the Allosaurus and Dilophosaurus, I'd love to see Papo's take on an Acrocanthosaurus.

Yeah.  It's looking like I should try the hair dryer thing and see if that works.

I've used bulbs before for small accessory pieces (G.I. Joe guns namely) but its never a good idea for anything large, hot water normally works better for small things anyway

Well, I fiddled with him a bit and right now, he seems to be resting on the footpads instead of the claws, but we'll see how it goes.  I do love this guy though.  The running T. rex is just so dynamic looking compared to their first T. rex.  Plus, I will say...I don't see the constant V. rex comparisons when I look at this guy.

Just look at his head design compared to a V-Rex..the eyes, teeth arrangement ( or lack thereof ), basic skull shape is clearly a V-Rex with a hint of JP tossed into the mix.

I'm just looking at him compared to my other Papo T. rex and the only real difference in the skull is the bottom jaw.  And frankly?  It doesn't look like a mutation or something.  It looks to me like the poor guy got his head whacked when he was younger and it just healed that way.  Looking at the basic way the teeth are and the fact that his "snaggletooth" dug into the top lip suggest that.

I'm with Blade, it has always looked like a V. rex to me. The snaggle teeth especially make them look similar.

Personally I see that fellow as a transitional form between a Jurassic Park Style Tyrannosaurus and Vastatosaurus.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

I paired mine with my Papo Ankylosaurus and made up a story to go with him..basically he just prefers Ankylosaurs. Something other carnivores generally avoid..lol

I'd like to see Papo finish the basic dinosaurs by releasing an Apatosaurus in 2015.
Also, I'd like Papo to release a Siats meekerorum because it was discovered by a professor at my alma mater.
Then there's the Giganotosaurus that was rumored for 2014.

The Papo baby Triceratops (young Triceratops) dinosaur model is now in stock at Everything Dinosaur:

thats a little larger than I had been expecting it to be (not by much)

Everything_Dinosaur

Everything Dinosaur's short video review (4:58 minutes) of the new 2014 Papo Baby Triceratops dinosaur model.  In this short video we review this model and consider how the Papo team used the information gleaned from the 1997 baby Triceratops skull find (Hell Creek Formation).

This is an interesting addition to the Papo range, we point out the shortcomings when it comes to digits, but this model has a lot to commend it.

Sure about that? Looks more like the Jurassic Park Baby Triceratops.
