I hope chinese companies won't see the success of PNSO and steal PNSO's designs and sell bootlegs of them.
The bootleg companies are currently busy stealing old CollectA, papo and schleich's designs. (which are still wrong)Hopefully one day, they'll actually make their own.

Halichoeres

I'm sure bootleggers are already making molds from these. :(

Have we talked about the tail of Chungkingosaurus? I haven't seen any photos of the actual fossil, but I read a couple of things that suggested its tail shows hints of having had more than the standard 4 spikes. I wonder if we aren't dealing with another situation like the Battat Stegosaurus. If it DID have an 8-spiked tail, that's pretty interesting. Either way, I want this figure.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

im sure the mainland bootleggers would think twice about pirating PNSO's figures. PNSO could easily run after them because they are both in the same country whereas the western brands are helpless.
"you know you have a lot of prehistoric figures if you have at least twenty items per page of the prehistoric/dinosaur section on ebay." - anon.

I hope that the mini PNSO models will look like their promo pics. Last time, the baby PNSO dinosaur's paint job was nothing like it's original promo pics (which are still on their website).
I would also like to see PNSO tackle some mongolian species.

Sweet mother o'God  :o :o :o  that Chungkingosaurus is a thing of beauty.  Took me about 1 millisecond to pre-order one.

The other ones are beautious too - but thankfully for my wallet, I don't collect whales or sharks!!

PNSO offers these posters for sale (LINK), I hope they will release a Mamenchisaurus figure similar to the ones on the poster in the future. A Shunosaurus would also be awesome...

PNSO has already released a Mamenchisaurus similar to the ones on the poster: https://world.taobao.com/item/527963893856.htm?fromSite=main&spm=a312a.7700824.w4002-13827208230.57.258djb

As much as I would like an affordable Mamenchisaurus figure similar to the ones on the poster (so probably part of the same line as the PNSO Shantungosaurus, Huanghetitan, etc.), it doesn't seem very likely to happen since that limited edition and very expensive figure exists. :(

More on that Mamenchisaurus figure and the other two in that series (Tsintaosaurus and Huayangosaurus) can be seen in Reply #146: http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=4503.msg134571#msg134571

Sculpting and price look great, the price not. :( The neck looks somewhat thin though, the artwork at the bottom of the page showing Mamenchisaurus in profile looks much better in this regard.

They are beautiful! Bit pricey, but we'll see.

Your wallet is evil  :P

I think these newer models are even more detailed and impressive than their first generation batch.

I have no idea how I am going to save up money for these after my obligate Papo and REBOR shopping sprees (I just picked up a few WS as well)......I dunno...life finds a way.

You are quite right about the quality of their second wave of models.  They are stunning - the Megalodon in particular is a fre-ak-ing "shark from outer space" alien monster rather than simply a scaled up Great White.  The Chungkingosaurus (am I the only one who thought at first that name was a joke? A 1970s Chinese food TV commercial in the US had a jingle: "Chun king makes Chinese food - SWING - American!") is amazingly lifelike.  Can't wait to display it prominently next to a couple of other 1/10 giants I will be working on building up in the future.

Edit: The Jingle was actually from La Choy Chinese food - Chun King had a different ad campaign.  *SIGH*  Memory is not what it used to be.

Anyhow, here's the jingle:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxdTUAHsnz8

That Chungkingosaurus is just amazing! I hope that the final product looks as good as the promo pic, without seam lines and stuff lie that. Are these hollow as the first wave was? Because these look of a higher quality.

Flaffy

Since PNSO did a wonderful piece of art of the zhenyuanlong, maybe they'll consider making it in the next big wave?

I'm guessing you're talking about this one, which lacks primaries(!):

The original reconstruction of Zhenyuanlong appears to be one of theirs, a figure based upon that would be awesome!

Do you mean the reconstruction seen here?: http://www.sci-news.com/paleontology/science-zhenyuanlong-suni-new-feather-winged-dinosaur-03027.html  While it's an amazing work of art, I don't like that reconstruction of Zhenyuanlong.  The paper that names it says, "On the better preserved right wing of Zhenyuanlong the primaries are longer than the secondaries."  That Zhenyuanlong reconstruction appears to lack primaries?!  The blue, pink and purple on its head also looks out of place to me.

Looking at that reconstruction again, the long arm feathers continue onto the humerus too, despite the Zhenyuanlong fossil showing it didn't have long arm feathers on the humerus!

Shame that Archeopteryx and Confuciusornis don't have alulas. A few of the theropods also look just a tad shrink-wrapped. I wonder how large these are, because even with the sail that Nyctosaurus is a must have if it's anywhere close to 1:20 or larger.

Definitely not. I guess they're about the size of Kaiyodo's Dinotales.

That would be in about 1:20th scale. Nyctosaurus was rather small.

Albertosaurus

I just bought the Chungkingosaurus. That thing is MASSIVE! 50cm long! I really hope that the paint job is good enough so I don´t have to repaint it or send it to Martin.

I'm in exactly the same position.  Let's hope!

Is it just me or is the nyctosaurus's lower beak a tad bit longer than it should be?

Dan LoRusso's Nyctosaurus also has that shorter upper beak. There must be something about it :-\.

That depends on the species of Nyctosaurus. Obviously given the author take anything on this site with salt, but here is a well done comparison of the skulls.
