Rebor: 1/18 Velociraptor "Winston"

Another Rebor product I'll pass on. As a fan of the franchise I don't mind figures that are JP replicas, but Rebor doesn't quite capture the aesthetic, while also failing to delivery on accuracy. Thus their products occupy a kind of dinosaur figure purgatory - accurate to neither science or the pop culture depictions that inspire them.

How is this piece size-wise compared to its Papo counterpart?

Emm i think it will be easier if we compare to the baby velociraptor from rebor. That baby vraptor is already released right ?

My opinion, but if they were going for Jurassic Park, they really need to re-do the head.

They are good Jp replica. But i think you are right, for me the crest upon the eyes is just "too high"  at least from this angle hehehe

Well, I don't know about the fine art bit, but the color preview looks VERY nice!  Especially that glossy eye.  I can already hear Jurassic Collectibles saying "It has a glossy paint finish on the eye for that genuine wet look".

The color snapshot gives the appearance that the raptor is smiling. The coloring itself looks nice, though I think I'd have preferred something a little darker, perhaps more orange-y. Will have to see the whole body to really judge it though.

According to their FB, there will be a limited bronze version of father and son together. Only 1000 will be made.

I prefer the coloured version though

Something looks a bit off about it in these latest color photos. The face just looks a little bit strange to me. I can't quite place my finger on what it is.

It looks amazing to me, especially in this picture. I think that it looks better and more menacing with the mouth closed.

My skills are not very good about dinosaurs. But since the world began the Velociraptors have elongated hozicos.

This figure has many imperfections.

That is not nowhere near a velociraptor. It is better to save the money to buy dinosaurs Battat for instance to spend money and time in buying that figure.

The sculpt looks very nice and the paintjob is done well, but my only complaint is that it isn't screen-accurate to either of the velociraptors; its too bright to be a female from the first movie, and too dull/the stripes are incorrect to be a male from TLW. But it still might look nice next to the new Chronicle T-rex

They managed to shrink wrap the head and officially screw up the one thing the movie raptors got right. I hate that I like the paint scheme. Still not going to get it.
