Interesting looking creature I think the comparison shots are rather useful thank you!

Thank you, Centrosaur86! ^-^ Looking at those together, I wonder if Doug Watson will ever consider sculpting a Polacanthus for Safari Ltd? I'd love to see him do a version

Only if they find more of that species.   Doug tends to avoid Animals that lack a skull.

Nice comparison photos. It looks like one of Papo's weaker dinosaurs, but I'll still snap it up.

Ah, of course! Maybe someday, discoveries allowing! It is an unusual interpretation of the head...Having seen this Papo model next to the others, I think I'm going to have to pass on it. Never mind

Papo Polacanthus!  :))

Sorry, OT, but what is the greenish sauropod in the background there?  The one that's not the papo baby Apatosaurus?

I read that a possible skull was found on the Isle of Wight and lost again...Apparently it was in a bucket and someone mistook it for a rock and dumped it!

Hello the greenish sauropod in the background is Sean Coopers Diplodocus. That brown sauropod in front the Papo Apatosaurus.  :D You can see my entire collection in Centrosaurs86 collection.  ;) :D

a whole series as animals done in the old bestiary style would be cool. The new Papo smilodon would make a good manticore.

back to the polacanthus. I like it except for the weird head. Also wish it were a bit less purple.

:o :o :o that is a full-blown "nooooooo!!" moment! If that happened, it's most upsetting. I'd love to know what the inspiration for the head of Papo's Polacanthus was. It almost looks a bit like a beetle of some kind

Looking at the Polacanthus side by side with the Ankylosaurus I feel the head's less weird than I initially thought. I believe it'll look way better in person than on promo pictures, the stock photo was just too bland and unflattering.

Halichoeres

I'm no ankylosaur expert, but it seems to me that the inspiration for the Papo's head is the skull of Panoplosaurus:

Can't wait for mine to arrive.
I had to settle for ordering from Germany due to Everything Dinosaur neglecting to set a date for release (a few days equals 14 so far ED)

New photos of the Acro.

Where are these new pics coming from? According to Everything Dinosaur all three theropods (plus the Dimorphodon and the two mammals) won't be available before the summer.

Does anyone know, is the Polacanthus available yet? Or the repaint Oviraptor & repaint blue Velociraptor?

Polacanthus looks pretty good with the Sauropelta and Euoplocephalus.

Papo should attempt to make another stegosaurid (a Lexovisaurus would be nice). Where is the Papo Kentrosaurus? Every established dinosaur company has one.

I miss Papo ceratopsians, but it seems that WS and CollectA has me covered (for now). I'm also looking forward to ceratopsian models by PNSO, REBOR and Creative Beast.

A lexovisaurus would be the right figure. First because their remains were discovered in France and Papo is a French company.

Secondly because they would surely make the best lexovisaurus on the market regardless of Papo's own philosophy when it comes to realifying dinosaurs.
