I wonder what exactly they mean by I-Rex being a tragic monster. The other Dinosaurs not wanting to hang out with her would also be a problem when she was just a normal large Theropod.  :)) Guess it could be because she is the only one of her kind.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Tragic for everyone who comes across it. >:D
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

CityRaptor

That's for sure, but a Tragic Monster is normally more than that.

I'm guessing it's supposed to be tragic in that it's not really evil, but just an animal behaving as an animal would. It can't help that it was created the way it was, after all.

Then of course there's the fact that it's a freak of nature and was created to be a spectacle in an amusement park.

The CGI looks horrible and that Apatosaurus puppet with blue eyes....looks so rubbery and lifeless.....Most of Shane Foulkes sculptures look better than that!

suspsy

Just watched the new trailer. As a fantasy monster movie, it looks decent. As a dinosaur movie, it looks like an abject failure.

All of the dinosaurs look based on reconstructions from the late 80´s or early 90´s pre-Jurassic Park era. Look at those horrible Stegosaurus and Triceratops running....

Has anyone else noticed where they filmed the bit at 0:41?

Still can't wait to see it, accuracy be dammed. I found this trailer more exciting than the last, and the CGI didn't look that bad.

You found it already, Pachyrhinosaurus! Totally agree, Gwangi! I think it looks like a helluva lot of fun!! 8)

What exact scene at 0:41? The helicopter coming in over the water to the mountains??

Manatee

In the scene at 0:17, it appears the raptors' hands are no longer pronated.
I. rex appears to have confirmed that this is now a monster movie. Still, I like monster movies.

Saurian

hybrids and training raptors destroys the idea of the park for me personally, of course in the first film JP many inaccuracies but it was because the film is old ,first JP still a film about animals and not about monsters ,inaccurate, largely due to age
it would be stupid if children survive again, pterosaurs attack people .. cliche on cliche ... big disappointment if this hybrid has a DNA Gigantosaurus and Carnotaurus but these animals, we do not see  in park...

CGI looks  worse than 93 ,Hollywood should stop doing all these unnecessary sequels and reboot
Soory,my English is poor

Well yeah. But it's suppose to take place at the original location. Isn't it? But I see what you mean about the very similar shot to JP. A bit of a nod to the original there I'm sure.

This will seem particularly morbid but I hope to have some children die, just to break the cycle. It is possible, (looking at you Jaws) even if unlikely.

JP was always a monster movie--just with the the trappings of 'nature run amok' and 'science out of control'.

And the new grey monster clearly has another name:
