Dear collectors,

We are pleased to inform you, that we have performed our first PVC figure model: a Steppe Mammoth or Mammuthus trogontherii. It is based on a complete skeleton measured from one of our team proboscidean specialists, and scaled to the largest specimen found. It is in 1:40 scale.

Also, each figure includes a fantastic collectable/playing card.

The figure will be available soon.

We decided to start with this mammoth for several reasons including our knowledge on proboscideans, requests received from several of you (the form you filled in January) and another very important one that we let you know soon. Of course, in the future, we have planned to make other prehistoric animals including dinosaurs!

Best!

Really nice figure.
The model will be available on your webshop?

Eofauna

Yes, it will be sold through several online distributor pages.

They already know where they have a secure buyer. The mammoth is fabulous, I'm glad they make figures centered on dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals.

On the other hand I already received your message in my email. Apart from this is a moving mammoth figure and in the toy market there are quite a few. It is perhaps the best mammoth figure in motion in the toy market made to date and is not exactly a compliment.  8)

"you know you have a lot of prehistoric figures if you have at least twenty items per page of the prehistoric/dinosaur section on ebay." - anon.

Beautiful figure and pretty cool idea to add a collectable card. Can't wait to discover more of your products!

Really great figure! Looking forward to see more of what you offer.

Darn, not a local Washington mammoth after all! This is still a great model, and thanks to Eofauna for chiming in and correcting our assumptions that it was a Safari mammoth.

I'll definitely be following this thread, because I'd still like to add this one to my collection. I wonder what the price will be, and if it will come in a gift box if there is a card included?

The price will be around 20 euros more or less. It will include a collectable card introduced in a small polybag that it will be attached to the mammoth leg. The whole product will package as in major brands (Schleich, CollectA, Papo...)

:D Wonderful news! The Steppe Mammoth looks brilliant. I can't wait to see what's going to come in this line.

I think this one will be a nice companion to my Papo woolly mammoth. I hope to see more extinct mammals from you, this sculpt shows a lot of potential and we need more cenozoic genera in our prehistoric collections.

Looks really nice. I like the card idea too. Takes me back to the days of collecting Pokemon cards. I'm looking forward to what's in store in the future from you.

A beautiful figure and I think the card is an excellent idea.

Looks lovely.  Do you know who will sell this in the United States? I'm a sucker for 1:40 scale prehistoric things and Mammoths.

We will sell it mostly through internet retailers, including one from USA, so there will not be impediments to get it from any part of the world.

Thank you Eofauna, for the information. Can you at least share the month of its planned release?

I'm also a sucker for 1:40 scale, and am curious where I will be able to find this mammoth in North America?

*EDIT* Thanks for confirming that I won't need to ship from Europe!

A Mammoth at 1:40 scale is not so big.
Invicta Mammoth is 1:45.
Papo Mammoth is 1:28.
Collecta and Carnegie are 1:30.
The right scale for mammals is between 1:30 - 1:20.
They aren't big dinosaurs... ;)

its beautiful. Would have preferred a Colombian, but I will definitely get this if it becomes easy for me to obtain.
