I saved the photos to my computer but I'm reluctant to post them because he seems to have included them in a friends-only post. But the bronze prototypes seem to be:

• an ankylosaurid
• a saurolophine
• a eusauropod
• a tyrannosaurine
• a chasmosaurine

Some of them look a little like the prototypes that were posted to Vitae's facebook back in April, but none of them is quite identical, so I'm no longer sure any of them correspond to those species exactly (the hadrosaur at least is one that they definitely have not given any hint of; previously only Charonosaurus was announced as in the works).

If the prototypes are made of bronze. Are the figures of the dinosaurs made of resin or bronze and not PVC?

Takama

Not sure if this concerns Vitae, But the lines Sculptor posted a Picture of a group of Morrison Formation Dinosaurs on his Personal Facebook Page.

From what i saw, there was a Stegosaurus, Brachiosaurus, And most likely an Allosaurus, though rather or not these are a part of the Vitae line remains to be seen.

I would post a picture, but these were shown on the Sculptors Personal Facebook page, and I think its best i keep it private.

These sound interesting, especially the first three. So long as they end up in PVC that is.

I've seen those pictures too, avatar_Takama @Takama and I'm absolutely blown away 🤯 If these are going to be Vitae figures then they're a considerable step up from the current batch, even the resin ones, and I have no doubt they'll be bank-balance destroyers given the quality :o But they will be so worth it!! In scale, fully up to date and truly museum quality. Tantalisingly, they do resemble the moulds he previewed recently...but I'm not going to get my hopes up yet, there have been so many disappointments in the past few years...

avatar_Minmiminime @Minmiminime Chinese companies of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals are a mystery or an unknown as we say in my nation in a saying "appear and disappear as the eyes of the Guadiana." They are unpredictable.

Vitae is not an exception. Also PNSO told us a long time ago that they were going to make a spinosaurus and a amargasaurus and the production was paralyzed until now. It is a complete mystery.

Until I see it and do not market it, I do not believe it honestly. I do not want to create false hopes sincerely speaking.

A dinosaur from the family of tyrannosaurids other than tyrannosaurus rex and a chasmosaurus whether a chasmosaurus, arrhinoceratops, torosaurus or anchiceratops other than triceratops would be interesting. We need collectors (if consumption and children who are the main clients allow us) obscure and rare figures of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals.

I just got my Vitae dinosaurs in the mail yesterday. I love them all! Their paint and sculpt looks great for the price. I'll upload pictures later.

I had ordered all five of the PVC models (I don't have enough money for the resin figures) but the seller made a packaging mistake and I ended up with two Zhejiangosaurs and no Sinraptor, unfortunately. I shot them an email asking them if they could send another. I completely understand the mistake, as I ordered them around the start of the holiday season, which can be a very hectic time for online retailers. I just hope I get my Sinraptor soon. It was my favorite of the bunch.

Oh well, maybe my Zhejiangosaurs will breed...

Also, did Wuerhosaurus really have shoulder spikes like Kentrosaurus? If so, that's pretty neat.

avatar_Archosauria @Archosauria congratulations! 😊 There's just something about these models which really hits the nail on the head. I'm sorry to hear about the situation with your Sinraptor and hope it is resolved, soon. The Sinraptor is one of my favourite models overall! I had to heat the feet and correct the posture a little to get it to stand, but it has never warped again. They're beautifully balanced little models given how tiny the feet are! I don't know a lot about Wuerhosaurus, but I think the plate form may be a little contentious and due to preservation problems, and the shoulder spikes are speculative (rather like the PNSO Chunkingosaurus). I greatly look forward to seeing your pictures later! 😁

I hope this company manages to resurrect its toy line in time, Cheung Chung Tat is perhaps one of the foremost palaeoartist of our time, but at least they're still producing stunning fossil replicas by another artist, and this is the latest one, a T. rex!

MESOZOIC BEAST

Just received (today) my standard edition Vitae Giganotosaurus. I have to say this is a very impressive model, and pure indulgence on my part (it's not cheap by any means). I was initially a little wary regarding entering into a Chinese ebay purchase, but it's the real deal, and arrived in its branded, original factory-sealed box. Not a bad shipment process either, ordered on 19 Dec, arrived on 4 Jan. I have to say, this one absolutely knocks the socks off the Eofauna version. This is a simply stunning figure, a beautiful sculpt, the base is a work of art in itself. At time of writing, I have seen that there is still one left available for sale from this seller, so if you want to be sure of getting a genuine Vitae version of this dinosaur figure, check out "toystory98" on ebay but, be warned, IT'S NOT CHEAP!

Cheapest ones are found at aliexpress and Modellverand or however you spell that German website.

The Vitae Giganotosaurus is not bad but it has a very unnatural pose, almost too manufactured imo. Although it is a great Giganotosaurus it has flaws that should have been fixed such as the pose and the mouth properly closing and using better plastic to ensure it wouldn't bend over time, probably add a little bit of muscle on the legs and lil bit on the feet so it wouldn't stumble so much, and of course if it was actually as green as the photos instead of having a orangy red snout that should've been solid green. But that's just my two cents I guess.

Hi Jetdin

I don't have the Eofauna version, I'm not really all that keen on it. You can see comparisons quite easily online, you shouldn't have any problems

I don't have a problem with the mouth closing, it looks to work ok on my figure, and it seems to be quite stable. Thing I do with pegged feet is insert the peg fully into the holes of the feet prior to placing it onto its base, that way you know that it is fully supporting the actual figure itself. I think it may be that the reason some have problems with sagging is perhaps because they are placing the pegs into the base first and then attaching the model, in this case the pegs may not become fully engaged in the feet of the figure. It is an expensive figure, but wow, when it arrives and you start unpacking it, you just seem to forget about how much it cost. I have seen it for sale on Aliexpress but there were some reviews regarding it arriving unboxed, and concerns about the authenticity of the model, so I decided not to go down that route

Well that sucks, was planning to get a second one, good thing I didn't obtain it from aliexpress then. Just seems weird considering vitae can do something about bootleggers since they are located in China no?

I ordered my w Dragon allo from there and it had an option with box or without it so maybe there's a similar option for the Giganotosaurus. I'll have to check

Seems that we have to wait until early Feb now to get our hands on the Eofauna Giganotosaurus over here. Still think that it will be worth the wait.

I really like the Vitae Gig but only wish that I had the money!! Envious of any who have it.

Great herd that you have there too. Thanks for the image.

That's just a third of it, I need to build an actual shelf made for these dinos. I got the Eofauna Giganotosaurus as a late bday gift today from my significant other. It was numbered as model 03 on it's plastic, if it is what I think it is then that's pretty neat!
