Megalosaurus

Amazing starlux figures. I appreciate figures like these.
Sobreviviendo a la extinción!!!

Libraraptor

Congrats on those Starlux! They are precious and beautiful!

Halichoeres

I'm not really into vintage figures, but I respect Starlux for the huge variety of animals they made. That Drepanaspis is still on my shelf, for instance.

From something very old - to the very new -
Two very nicely made chinese Ankylosauroids :
Of the last bunch of PNSO dinos - the Ankylosaurus is to me the most appealing and realistic :

And on to their Chinese shelf :

Shonisaurus

Honestly, the Vitae zhejiangosaurus is a very pretty figure, although as you comment the PNSO ankylosaurus is more realistic and its sculpture is of superior quality to me in my case the Vitae zhejiangosaurus is more valuable because it is a little treated dinosaur in the market of the Toy dinosaur, the PNSO ankylosaurus is very beautiful but fortunately it is overrepresented in various versions in PVC and resin.

Not a Dinosaur - but couldn't resist :

My Kaiyodo Aquatales Polystone Sailfish got an expensive friend :

Just as you thought it couldnt get any better - a Resin masterpiece of refine art :

The Kaiyodo AQUALAND Resin Sailfish, Shinobu Matsumura :

BrontoScorpio

Also not a Dinosaur - But Has a cool Vintage appearance that caused me to have it :
Looks like Platypus, Kiwi bird and sea otter.
As for the origin - Other than being Japanese - I have no clue -
Can anyone help with that ?

Maybe someone in our sister forum, the Animal Toy Forum, knows more about them?

Halichoeres

The bottom of the flyer seems to indicate it's from a company whose name translates to "Resin Craft Research Institute," which I've never heard of, at least not under that name. (In Japanese it's 株土筆レジンクラフト研究所) I googled them and found a frilled lizard kit, a "chest burster" from the Alien film series, and some kind of model ship, among others.

avatar_BrontoScorpio @BrontoScorpio Question: Can the Kaiyodo Dino Expo 2019 Kamuysaurus be removed from it's base? If it can, is the connection peg attached to the foot of the figure or on the base itself? Thanks

BrontoScorpio

Thanks for all those who responded - didn't see it on time ...

A big and expensive ( 250$ USD ) parcel from down under came this week :

- Dimetrodon
- Eryops
- Tiktaalik

Didn't expected them to be so light weighted and hollow.
For me they pass as just 'Figures', not detailed enough to be called 'Models'.
Also, the paint application is mixed with some shining substance, resembles mucus or saliva.
As for the Tiktaalik - this is understandable. not so sure about the other two.
Not everyone's taste ...

Shonisaurus

Sincerely, I like Paleozoo figures although for me they are quite well finished figures, especially tiktaalik. My congratulations on your new BrontoScorpio acquisitions.

BrontoScorpio

Got in the mail today this 10$ Lot :

Does anybody know what is this Big Resin Glyptodon ?
It is quite heavy and nicely built :

Shonisaurus

My congratulations on your new BrontoScorpio acquisitions are very varied prehistoric animal figures.

I am speechless!  I mean, there is the Dawn Of The Dinosaurs Saurosuchus and Frenguellisaurus among those :o :o! For ten WHAAT?  And that Glyptodon seems to have some value,  too!

Ah, Yes, about that :
It's a good thing I didn't won the auction back than for about 300$ :

Halichoeres

That's a very good spot, well done. I looked through DeMarco's Dinosauriana and I couldn't find any glyptodonts resembling this one. Puzzling.

Thank you for your effort. Puzzling indeed.
since it looks so professionally made with Resin - I assumed it was not just some amateur custome-made -
Rather expected a known artist or company.

;D Lucky duck! Great find - Congratulations!

Maybe it should be mentioned that your Frenguellisaurus is the smaller book figure.
