$1500 away from the Albertaceratops. I think this pace is actually an improvement on the Kickstarter pace.

Another update. Albertaceratops has been unlocked now and David will be at Toy Con in NJ tomorrow and Sunday. I am planning on going Sunday.

Here's the update:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/creativebeast/beasts-of-the-mesozoic-ceratopsian-series-action-figures/posts/2677886

The next up is that gorgeous Sinoceratops. There's only 5 figures left to unlock now. The backerkit pre-orders have been rolling in with good momentum as of late (aside from those adding on more figures to their kickstarter survey it seems word is spreading for those that missed it or held off because the larger ones were not able to be funded then).

This way to unlock further stretch goals through backerkit has been a blessing. This certainly must also make things much easier for David too now that he doesn't need to worry about doing a second kickstarter to get the rest funded.

I've also switched out the Centrosaurus and Pachyrhinosaurus for the adult Triceratops and Pentaceratops. I think it is a better idea to pay for those two in February while they will still be cheaper then. I can get the rest later.

So, so relieved the Pachyrhinosaurus got unlocked. I did not think we'd ever get this far into the stretch goals, but now I wouldn't be surprised if each and every one of them get unlocked. I just want to get to Triceratops, but if we get there, I think there is a good bet we'll see the final two unlocked, as well.

How many are left now? Utahceratops, Pentaceratops, Torosaurus, and mature Triceratops, or did I forget one?

Definitely the ceratopsian that I was looking most forward to. I ordered the KS exclusive Monoclonius and Zuni as an add-on. Will probably pick up the Pachyrhinosaurus from BBTS or other retailers some time next year.

I really hope they release a bunch of basal ceratopsians in non-deluxe scale for those folks with wallets a hurting.

so Im a bit confused on switching payment methods. I used a Visa vanilla debit card to pledge for the campaign but I would like to switch to PayPal to pay, how am I supposed to do that? when I go to the confirmation page there's no way to edit my payment method like with the shipping address, it just says "no payment information needed". Didn't David post that Backerkit is accepting PayPal now? ???

Faelrin

avatar_terrorchicken @terrorchicken I would suggest messaging David on the kickstarter about this. I didn't really notice any paypal option myself but maybe I missed it as I use a card.

Edit: I'll be getting on the road shortly to go to Toy Con to meet David again and see the ceratopsians. I'm bringing lots of figures with me to hopefully get size comparison images and whatnot.

Going to bring the Safari LTD Triceratops, Styracosaurus, and Regaliceratops and of course a bunch of the Beasts of the Mesozoic raptor series stuff as well as my Mattel Jurassic World Battle Damage Blue and Stiggy that I bring with me everywhere as it is. I'll probably cram the Amber Collection Velociraptor and maybe my Play Arts Kai Noctis as well. I hope to get many pictures and maybe video too.

By the way those who have not financed those ceraptósidos economically speaking, will we have or not right to buy them in online stores, in case we want to buy them?

Everything Dinosaur will carry them, and I think Minizoo and Big Bad Toy Store will carry them again. Everything Dinosaur will be doing the shipping for backers btw (probably applies to the pre-order store too).

I'm pretty sure Paypal is only available if you need to add more funds in order to pay for more things. So if you pledged all the money you need for the item(s) you wanted, it won't ask for any payment information since you have enough money that you pledged, but if you add more items you'll have the option to add more funds, either with a card or with Paypal.

Since the money you pledged during the Kickstarter was already collected I'm not sure why you would want to switch it anyways? :o

Faelrin

Alright folks, I'm on my way back home to PA now from Toy Con in NJ. I got a couple of surprises in addition to all the images I took while there (including what should be plenty of comparisons). I'll be sure to edit this and add plenty of the images I took when I get home.

Thanks, yeah I figured it out now, I wanted  to switch the zuniceratops I had pledged to the nasutoceratops but I hadn't done it yet when I went to check which payment methods were accepted. I needed PayPal to add more funds b/c I didn't have enough on the Visa card. Also i didn't know it had already collected the funds from the Visa, I thought it wasn't going to until December.

Faelrin

So I'm sorry I didn't get to upload my pictures of yesterday last night (as well as my surprises aka what I got from there). I got distracted with watching some Aurora model stuff with my dad last night for a while, and some other reviews before calling it a night because of having a cold coming on.

Anyways before I get to all that, the next update has been shared. Sinoceratops is unlocked now, and lots of pictures of the display at Toy Con as well:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/creativebeast/beasts-of-the-mesozoic-ceratopsian-series-action-figures/posts/2680255

I don't see any need to really post my pics of the display as it is then. I will share the comparison pics I took though that will hopefully be of help (I did forget to get pics with my Safari Ltd Regaliceratops and Styracosaurus that I brought, but hopefully the Safari LTD Triceratops is good enough. I had also brought the Amber Collection Velociraptor and several of my BotM raptor series figures, but forgot to get pics with those as well), as well as what I got from there. Also special thanks to David for helping with some of these pics.

First up for the comparisons I took with the figures I brought with me is the Beasts of the Mesozoic Microraptor (and the most of the Forest accessory pack, such as the base, tree, and log), and the Protoceratops skull (from the Desert accessory pack). Microaptor co-existed with Psittacosaurus so I'm glad to see how these two size up since I am planning on getting both the 1/6 scale Psittacosaurus and Protoceratops (ditto with the Protoceratops skull next to the Protoceratops, which will be displayed alongside my Velociraptor, etc), and I will be having the Psittacosaurus on display with the Microraptor and Forest accessory pack.

Next up is the tree (and base and log) from the Forest Accessory pack. I had to see had that tree sized up with some of these ceratopsians. We talked about about the tree scaling much better with these (1/18th) ceratopsians then with the raptors. It is really cool to see it work out that way.

Next up is the Safari Ltd Triceratops next to the BotM adult Triceratops. I really ought to have had the Styracosaurus and Regaliceratops in the pic too, but oh well. If any of you have all three of these, you'll probably get the idea anyways.

Special thanks again to David for holding up the adult Triceratops for me to get a pic of its underside. The thing was so impressive in person, and certainly a behemoth in size (as was the Torosaurus, and Pentaceratops, and Utahceratops).

Next up is some of my Mattel Jurassic World figures next to these, featuring the Savage Strike Styracosaurus, and the Battle Damage Blue and Stygimoloch.

Just some pics of the display without any of my figures side by side:

Of course I didn't only come to take a gander at his stand. I definitely had a look around in case I spotted anything I felt was a must have (and if I could afford it). I did come across a Dino Riders Styracosaurus that was being sold for $5, so I definitely made sure to pick that one up. Great to finally have one of these in my collection now as I missed out on these, having been born in the early 90's. He also mentioned the possibility of a Styracosaurus repaint in those colors.

One last pic with my Play Arts Kai Final Fantasy XV Noctis (which is about 10 inches tall or so). We also talked a little bit about the franchise's music (which I remembered seeing in one of those interview articles recently). I thought that was really cool since I do love the franchise's music even I'm still behind on playing many of the games (but I have still played through a number of them, such as the first game, II, III, IV, VI, VII, and XV).

When I got home I got some pics of what I picked up from there. Not only did I find and get the Dino Riders Styracosaurus, but I also found an Aurora Pteranodon kit for my dad (he loves the Aurora stuff). I also picked up a Beasts of the Mesozoic T- Shirt, and the White Nestlings pack that I've been wanting to get for quite some time now, but have been behind on getting.

Other things we talked about there while I was there included the various figures I had brought, the upcoming Jurassic World Live show that I'm going to in a few weeks, as well as the upcoming tyrannosaurs and dragons lines (I think I'm more excited for those then the tyrannosaurs honestly. I definitely told him I would love to see that fantastic Arctic Dragon kit made into an action figure, and he also agreed). I also showed him some of my collection that I didn't bring with me, such as my recently acquired Toyway Walking with Dinosaurs Allosaurus, the bulk of my Jurassic World collection, and some other stuff I put on my instagram (such as all those pics I took during the campaign each day to try to get the word out there as much as possible). I was also shown the Monoclonius print by Ezra Tucker (just had to be signed, but fresh from being printed) and it turned out fantastic. I didn't get a picture of it, but felt no need to as these are shipping soon anyways. We also talked about Ezra's fantastic artwork too (if you haven't checked out his other artwork yet, I urge you to do so), and I also told David how proud I am that he has been so lucky to work with wonderful artist's and the opportunities to meet all kinds of folks known for stuff, from all over, just in the time he has started on the Beasts of the Mesozoic figures (if not Creative Beast Studio itself).

The rest is in a spoiler as it isn't completely relevant to this thread, but it was still from my trip to Toy Con to (mainly) see these.

Spoiler
Some pics of the Aurora Pteranodon kit I got from my dad:

I also saw some other things that were up my ally, but I didn't get such as Tamiya 1/35 scale Brachiosaurus kit, and some Kenner Jurassic Park figures (such as the Pachycepahlosaurus, the smaller blue green one, and a few others), as well as some older Jurassic Park games (the Sega Genesis and Sega CD ones, which I had as a kid, and they were some of my favorites. At least I still have the SNES one, even if I don't have a SNES anymore sadly), which I possibly would have gotten if I still had enough funds, or the systems to play them on. Another vendor had the smaller Disney Dinosaur Carnotaur(us), and the JPIII electronic Spinosaurus that I used to have as a kid (and like so many of my other childhood toys, ended up in my parents storage units that were lost from not being paid on). They also had the same Carnegie Tyrannosaurus and Schleich Apatosaurus figures for sale that I got in a lot on ebay recently.

Thanks Faelrin for the photos, these look amazing and I'm getting even more excited now that 6 more has been unlocked.  Side note:  I really liked the Mattel Styracosaurus, but it looks pretty cartoony next to the BotM Ceratopsians.

I'm not so sure about the idea of repainting the Styracosaurus to resemble the Tyco one (although a favourite), it's just too bland.

Shonisaurus

I see that BoTM ceraptosides are of two sizes one smaller and one larger, and without scales as I like it, I understand that the protoceratops that I was longing for will be impossible to buy it will be very expensive, the size of the protoceratops rivals the figures largest ceraptosides in that collection.
