Could be. Hard to be sure once it's transposed onto a different body plan.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Aww man. I need this Xeno. The Collecta one is ugly af. However, I am not really font of the 'gaps'. Feels JP plasticy.

Fear not, they're not gaps 😊 They're very light-shade areas which have suffered some burnout in the photographs! Always supposing that dinosaurs had similar visual acuity and colour perception to birds and some reptiles, such areas would positively glow to them. It's fun to speculate!

Okay, David just confirmed on Facebook that the Protoceratops coloration is indeed based on the Moloch horridus :)

LeapingLaelaps

David posted some more Ceratopsian art, this time by Carlo Arellano and Jacqueline Jocson!

I think I might be tempted to pick up a figure of this creature. I already dig the sculpt and its small size, as well as the color scheme.

Edit: I really dig the package art for it and the pose its in.

Very nice, I love the angle! The colours are wild. :)

Man, I got through the raptors relatively unscathed (I only bought *counts* 7, plus the Mountain pack, and set of chicks...no wonder my wife has been mad at me), but this time, I think David is going to break me. These are my favorite kind of dinosaurs, and there will be so many. Also, I suggested the Nile monitor, so I feel partly responsible.

Pretty sure the Zuni is a skink. With the blue tail, the orange head, and the stripes, it looks one of several native North American skinks. I'm going to end up on the street.

Hey, anyone want to buy a 1971 Volvo 164e?

Edit: I'm not really trying to sell my Volvo here...

Back on topic, that Zuni art is stellar! It's 100% on my to-get list!

I mean, I am going to sell it, I just don't think is the proper place for that...Though, I guess it is an old dinosaur

I am not in favor of the strident colors in dinosaurs, but I like these Beasts of the Mesozoic ceraptosides, as well as raptors, their colors are very alive and sincerely, although I have already repeated them many times, it is no wonder that each time more followers and buyers of their figures by the members of DTF. Maybe next year I'll start my Beasts of the Mesozoic collection, although I would start with the ceraptosides.

The colors of the xenoceratops I like a lot and those of zuniceratops perhaps more even though the prototype is not yet realized and the illustration is an initial project.

Since they're bigger, they'll obviously cost more :( There's no way I can afford to buy all these sets. Even the combined raptor set was too much for me.

Maybe one day I will figure out how to my make my own articulated dinosaurs, lol.

He's saying that the prices will be comparable to the Raptors. I'm assuming that between ditching the bases and having fewer unique part, he at least believes he can keep the costs down. However, he is also saying that depending on the stretch goals reached, there could be 27(!) species in this set. I don't think that many people are going to be able to afford the whole set. Though, I'm willing to put a classic Volvo towards it...

Space is as big an issue as cost. That is an awful lot of space required to house them.

First look at the Pachyrhinosaurus lakustai sculpt! I think the white body and jaw are shared parts with the Xeno

Faelrin

I have a feeling this is definitely going to blow his older Jurassic Park sculpt for Hasbro out of the water (not that it was bad by any means), in both scientific accuracy and articulation. I can't wait to see this one finished.

OK, I am LIKING this paintscheme! The red is very bold on the frill and I love the blue on the tail.

Faelrin

I can't wait to see more pics of this one. This one is definitely on my want list.

Edit: The Pachyrhinosaurus sculpt is turning out fabulous too. Already can tell its better then his previous one for Hasbro's Jurassic Park line.

If I can get this little one, I think I'd like to display it next to my roadrunner Saurornitholestes and Microraptor.
