Could I get folks opinions on this? Should I add "McDonald's" to the company info? Found these Ania sets, and I'm wondering if it were make sense to add them to Takara Tomy's page, or to add them there instead.

https://hobby.dengeki.com/news/206149/

I also know there were the Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous ones a few years back (which I have the bulk of I think?). And probably many other dinosaur or prehistoric themed ones that could be of potential interest (like those 2000 Disney Dinosaur ones I can think of).

Edit: Finally imported what I had on my document for a few days now. I'll probably work on getting images for some of them tomorrow. Few more things I need to update or add left (such as those posing plushies I mentioned in a previous post) as well, before finally being able to move on to Nanmu's stuff.  I also added the missing and remaining Dino Kingdom figures as well (such as the Yutyrannus that was discussed).

I would definitely keep those under "Takara Tomy." When McDonald's has Hot Wheels and Barbie toys, they're still made by Mattel. I don't think this is any different.

I'm less sure about the Camp Cretaceous ones; if it's impossible to identify the manufacturer I guess McDonald's would be the only option left if you wanted to include them.

Thanks for the insight on that. I may hold off on the Camp Cretaceous ones for now, until I can be reunited and inspect them for any possible relevant production or manufacturer information.

I'll get to work on adding those Ania ones however, although might be after I get some images up for some of the other figures I uploaded last night.

Found a bunch more Takara Tomy Arts stuff I had missed (mostly outside the Gacha section). Some of which belonged to the "Yujin" 2004 NHK set (the one that includes Kimberella, Charniodiscus, etc). Apparently I need to correct info on the set from 2006, since some of those were reissues from this set, but I have it the other way around on the website atm. I'll fix that tomorrow. I also added a few more images today (edit: which were AI upscaled, and edited/separated in the program GIMP as need be), and still working on some others. But getting late now so I'll need to resume tomorrow.

avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres Assuming you have any images of those in your collection, can I add them to the DTC after I import the entries tomorrow (after 2am for me atm as I ask this, lol, so yeah I'm going to bed soon).

Yes, you can use them. I only have a couple in my collection, though. I once had the complete set and took photos of all of them for eBay, but I'm not sure I still have the photos. I'll look around. I'm not sure on the timeline of that NHK set--was it released after Yujin became a Tomy subsidiary?

Not to send you down another rabbit hole, but you might like to know that the brand "Learning Curve," which made all the Dinosaur Train figures, is also a subsidiary of Tomy! It's one of the world's largest toy companies so they've had their fingers in lots of pies.

Actually, on second thought, I might just take new sharper photos of the Yujin figures I still have on hand.

avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres To be honest I was wondering about the Yujin thing too. A little research and I found this:

https://logos.fandom.com/wiki/Tomy_Yujin_Corporation

I also saw on wikipedia that Takara Tomy is a merger of the two original competing companies (I guess like the Squaresoft Enix merger on the video game side of things) that happened back in 2006, shortly after that set released in 2004.

Also thanks for that information. Wonder if those should be added at some point as well, but I'm in no hurry to do that atm. Just want to finish adding the remaining Arts and Ania stuff for now (and images as needed).

Edit: Oh I also did some digging on the Medicom figures. Not the largest selection, but aside from Tullimonstrum, they did do a few other prehistoric figures. So I think I may add those as well. Primarily just to have an excuse to add the Tullimonstrum to my wishlist there. Saw a few for sale on ebay and mercari's Japenese website, but all are a bit pricey for me atm, mostly because I expect to pay brett soon for my haul so. The cheapest of which was 12,500 yen (pre-shipping if any). Though come to think of it I'll ask brett about both the ones coming from Japan.

I also encountered two Moa figures from some UHA Mikakutou Collector Club Seven Wonders series. Not sure if these fall under Kaiyodo or not but probably worth adding those to bring awareness to them.

Edit 2: Specifically from what I found last night, Medicom made a Megalodon ("Ancient Shark"), Procoptodon ("Giant Kangaroo"), a mosasaur ("Sea Monster"), Quetzalcoatlus ("Dragon of Texas"), a Basilosaurus ("Monster of Lake Van"), or has a likeness to it, I think, and obviously Nessie, in typical plesiosaur fashion. There was also a figure of Mokele-mbembe, reconstructed as a sauropod, and the Thunderbird, which may stand in as a teratorn, albeit unintentionally so, and despite its human victim. The above UHA Collection Club also made a plesiosaur figure of Nessie.

The Medicom figures are kind of a gray area. They didn't sell the Tullimonstrum as such, they sold it as 'embryonic Nessie.' I have the pamphlet from the figure, which does allude to the Tully Monster, but I don't have any idea what the others say. I guess they are of interest to a significant subset of prehistoric collectors though.

The UHA moa is tricky. I got one as bycatch once and although I didn't open it, the packaging didn't give any indication that it might be made by Kaiyodo like the Collect Club dinosaurs were. That doesn't mean it wasn't, but I don't know any evidence to support it. DeMarco's Dinosauriana just has them listed as "UHA," which is the same as Mikakuta, which is a confection company (so similar to the situation with Kabaya or McDonald's): https://www.uha-mikakuto.co.jp/english/. That might mean somebody else always makes what they sell, but it might not be public knowledge who that is. Maybe someone who has actually opened the moa can help?

I think at minimum I'll add the Medicom Toys Tullimonstrum, Megalodon, and Procoptodon for now, since those seem pretty clear (even if the Tullimonstrum wasn't labeled as such, it still is a figure of that genus, for anyone interested in it like myself).

I guess I can try to do more research on the Moa figures later as well.

Also wanted to let folks know I imported another batch of Takara Tomy figures (including the ones recently discussed), and will resume updating them shortly (need to add the group and sub group info for most). And then I'll go back and make any corrections to the older stuff as needed, as well continuing to work to get images for those that need them still. And whatever remaining Takara Tomy things I still need to add (such as the Happy Set figures).

A bit late responding to this, but glad to see it is working now. Added a bunch of the remaining 2022 Nanmu stuff (Mordred, the fence, Spinosaurus 2.0, Carnotaurus 2.0). Probably will be working on updating some of the older ones as needed as well (product codes, series, and whatnot). I'm not sure this is everything, but working from what was on BBTS. Think there are some Parasaurolophus versions I need to still add, if not more.

Edit: Looks like the only existing figures from Nanmu this year that still needed added is those blind box Parasaurolophus figures, and that tiny translucent resin Brachiosaurus that was shipped out alongside some figures, like the JPIII styled Brachiosaurus. I'll get those added up tomorrow then.

Would it be possible to get the Qualia set added (Lambeosaurus, Deinonychus, Triceratops, Carnotaurus and Tyrannosaurus)?
I think some people here would appreciate that, me included.

It would be interesting to add Ancestors as well, DinoZoo is on the site already and they're pretty much the same type of figures, as they're both resin made.

Faelrin

Yeah it is actually on my to-do list still (can't recall if I had planned to add them a while back or not). Same with the upcoming F-Toys Confect Cambrian period figures.

Added the PNSO Therizinosaurus, and I think the rest of the missing GR Toys figures.

Probably going to work on adding the remaining missing Nanmu figures next (the Macaron Parasaurolophus variants, etc), Qualia, Ancestors Models, and possibly whatever other Takara Tomy stuff I missed (and images I'm still behind on adding), Mattel's 2023 stuff and images for older figures still missing them, etc.

Don't know if I'm missing anything else, but kind of don't want to go digging atm. Maybe I'll take a look later.

Edit: Alright so everything except the remaining Takara Tomy and Mattel stuff has been dealt with now. Still a few Nanmu figures needing added, or updated, but that shouldn't take long.

Not sure how to add company images for the newly added Ancestors Models and Qualia products though. So hope folks don't mind those weird blank spots in the meantime. The figures have images however.

Now is there anything else I need to still add, beyond what I'm planning to address?
