Chasmosaurus

Quote from: Faelrin on October 26, 2022, 04:26:25 PMNow is there anything else I need to still add, beyond what I'm planning to address?
Please can you add the dinostar tapejara I can give you the photo. This companie also have done a smilodon but I don't have this figure.

avatar_Chasmosaurus @Chasmosaurus Hmm, I tried looking for more info on it, but nothing's really coming up for me other then the review of it, although I did see a listing for it on lanatimeshop's ebay. I'd like to have as much info as I could before I add it.

Edit: Added the CollectA Melbourne Museum exclusive Triceratops today. Been a bit behind on adding that. I'll try to add more things after my appointment later today that I didn't get to yesterday, depending how I feel after it anyways.

Edit 2: Been feeling okay, but been dubbing around on the forum and other things, so probably would be better to get back to it tomorrow or so. I don't want to do too much consecutively lest it burn me out again however. Or maybe I should do just do one big update like once a week as needed, instead of daily?

Edit 3: Though I did just add 3 more Takara Tomy images that I had done earlier, after upscaling the main image they were a part of, cropping them out in Gimp with the lasso select tool, and erasing the background. Still have quite a bit more to do in that regard, but getting it done when the mood strikes me.

avatar_Thialfi @Thialfi Glad to see it is appreciated once more.

By the way I'm in the process of getting the Mattel 2023 stuff ready to add. Should have those imported soon. Then I'll probably add images for the remaining 2022 stuff as possible, and then continue on with adding or updating the Takara Tomy and Nanmu stuff whenever.

Concavenator

We appreciate you going through the effort of updating the site, thank you avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin

When it comes to Ancestors and Qualia, I have been searching for images of the companies' logos and came up with a solution. I downloaded images where the logo appears, and after some cleaning up on the images (like removing the background, converting them to jpg, and increasing the images' resolution), here are the logos:

On another hand, if you feel like it, could you please change the images for the BotM Alectrosaurus and Yutyrannus? The former appears with just the concept art, and the latter looks to be a photo of the prototype. It would be better to change it for a stock photo for a consistency reason I think. Here are the pics:

The DinoStar Tapejara is really difficult. Besides the Smilodon, there's also a Psittacosaurus and possibly others. I can look into it and if I find anything I'll add it.

I've added a few more Mattel 2023 figures. Working on adding images for some remaining 2022 things, and some of the new 2023 figures at the moment (with the exception of things on my wishlist still, or that I already have and just haven't gotten around to doing yet, or those I haven't found product codes for yet, though I'll be doing another search in a moment here after I get a late lunch).

avatar_Concavenator @5aurophaganax Thanks for providing those. I think avatar_DinoToyCollector @DinoToyCollector will need to add those however. I can't really replace images (unless I change the codes they are tied to), and I'm not even sure how the company images are added, since I've only dabbled with adding figure's images.

Edit: I got the newest Rebor figures up now as well. The two Deinosuchus variants, and the newest Smilodon repaint.

Concavenator

Thank you for adding those avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin

BTW, how do I tell apart the 2021 Qualia releases from the 2022? I just got the Lambeosaurus, and I don't know which version it is. I checked the DTC site and I don't know what "Encyclopedia Stand" and "Book stand" refer to. Do you have images for each of those?

I would say mine is just like in this post by avatar_BrontoScorpio @BrontoScorpio .

Faelrin

avatar_Concavenator @5aurophaganax Honestly I don't know. It looks like there could be some slight color differences? The only real way to know I guess would be if yours had come with the little info paper that comes inside the capsule with the figure. From there it would have images like the below, and the product number which you could compare. As far as the names in the info boxes on the DTC go, those are the (google translated) English translations of the series names provided from the website's product pages. I did the same thing with many of the Takara Tomy figures.

Here's the page to the 2022 versions (including new T. rex repaint):

Or some quick in hand pics if you would prefer:

As far as the 2022 versions went, I've had no such luck yet with finding them, on the various marketplaces or through google. Maybe that set hasn't released just yet?

avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin thank you for looking into that, what you shared is helpful to all of us who got any of these figures. I checked the info paper and what appears to be the product number matches with the 2021 set you provided, and the red T.rex which appears to be exclusive to the 2022 set doesn't appear either, so I'll assume what I got comes from the 2021 set.

Faelrin

I've added the new Papo Concavenator and Einiosaurus if anyone is actually interested in these two. No images until we get some official ones, from either online retailers or Papo itself. The others that seemed to be new are really just re-releases brought out of retirement (Archaeopteryx, Woolly Rhino) that I think the original entries are probably sufficient, or things like the Kronosaurus and Mosasaurus that were included with reveals for this year.

Currently resisting the temptation to rate them without having seen in-hand photos.

avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres Lol. Can't blame you.

That reminds me, not sure I'll be able to get to add tonight's/tomorrow's new CollectA reveals, depending on what time I need to be at my surgery tomorrow, and what time I might need to go to bed. But well I'm sure I can always get to it after my surgery, and some rest since I'll probably be pretty tired coming off of the anesthesia, and such a major procedure.

Edit: Yep need to go to bed early tonight. Need to be at the hospital no later then 6:30 tomorrow morning.

I managed to get the Anomalocaris and the sauropod added before I went in to prepare for surgery. Will get Brightstoneus added after I get some rest.

Edit: Brightstoneus up now. No codes, so no pics yet unfortunately.
