Part of me fears that this could limit or even end the Wild Safari line. I hope not, and I'm guessing this may be more of a Carnegie Collection thing, with a couple of releases every year. Thinking about it, who's to say these designs are actually gonna be based on the show, and not just a new tag they put on the figures? Hopefully we get some more info soon.

Also, can we make this its own thread? I doubt many people are going to find out about this in a hopes and dreams thread.

Dinoxels

I highly doubt this would end the line, and the article states that if they were to continue they would only do a few other releases. Something else to note is that the releases will be exclusive to Amazon.

I would make a new thread but I don't know how, still learning the ropes after nearly a year on here :P.

Shonisaurus

That tyrannosaurus rex is not feathered on the other hand the triceratops looks good and on the other hand next to the triceratops a diabloceratops appears if I'm not mistaken. This collection of new Safari figures associated with Dino Dana is very interesting.

Jose S.M.

I really don't think the line is in any danger. It could very much be even repaints or slight retools of existing figures. Or something on the side probably a bit less rigorously made as the wild Safari line. We would have to wait and see

Stuckasaurus (Dino Dad Reviews)

Marc Vincent of Love In the Time of Chasmosaurs noted this would make a fantastic figure, and I gotta say, I have to agree!

Actually, one reconstruction they have does have does have feathers.

I like the massive bulk of the T-rex, at least as on the image that you provided. I hope that it's as substantial as a figure, preferably in 1/35 scale. We already have a fabulous feathered Tyrannosaurus courtesy of Doug Watson, so this would make an interesting comparison/ contrast if it was unfeathered, or at least minimally feathered.

Also, I'm a bit doubtful that the T-rex would have lips, as I'm not sure that partially revealed teeth would sell as well as the traditional fully exposed mouthful of dentition does to a younger target audience.

All I know is that 2020 was lacking a beautiful Watson Ceratopsian or Sauropod sculpt so anything new on that front I would love to see. No mammals either.. Even though we got an Edmontosaurus this year I'd love to see them tackle an ornithopod they haven't yet either. Maybe a Tenontosaurus to go with this year's lovely Deinonychus?

Shonisaurus

I would like Safari to make the medium / large scale armadillosuchus, it is a genuinely rare crocodile on the toy dinosaur market.

Sauropods there are sauropods underrepresented or very poorly represented or even unfairly treated in the toy dinosaur industry, I would like the following figures,

Barapasaurus,
barosaurus,
moabsaurus,
turiasaurus
sarmientosaurus
rapetosaurus
dicraeosaurus
rebbachisaurus
brachytrachelopan mesai
losillasaurus

Most of these rare sauropods are small enough to make them into an acceptable size for everyone, as the shunosaurus was already made, although I prefer them the size of the safari amargasaurus or they may even be smaller than the malawisaurus. I would like those sauropods to be of an acceptable size.

A mapusaurus, rajasaurus and tyrannosauroids such as albertosaurus, gorgosaurus, allioramas, alectrosaurus, tarbosaurus or daspletosaurus would be quite successful figures in the toy market as long as they were made with a size similar or equal to the tyrannosaurus rex, although we know that they are not of the same scale, I understand that it would be a commercial success for any company.

On the other hand, a siats, an ancient theropod, previous to the tyrannosaurus rex, it would be interesting if it were made in the toy market, I understand that there must be very few.

Interesting ceraptósidos would be the anchiceratops, monoclonius, pentaceratops (Papo and Schleich already have one) arrhinoceratops, chasmosaurus, rubeosaurus, medusaceratops, kosmoceratops, albertoceratops, torosaurus, andilong (we already have one from Safari Favorite) would be quite interesting figures that will be reflected in the Safari Favorite brand .

On the other hand, it would be interesting that gigantspinosaurus, tuojiangosaurus, wuerhosaurus, chialingosaurus and dravidosaurus would be stegosaurids that would give a feeling of freshness in the world of the toy dinosaur.

There are also little or no treated dinosaurs by companies such as the muttaburrasaurus, othinielia, compognathus, struthiomimus, gallimimus, gigantoraptor, pelecanimus, goyocephale, microphale, staurikosaurus, prenocephale among other species of dinosaurs.

Prehistoric marine reptiles my wishes are the shonisaurus, shastasaurus, dakotasaurus, stenopterygius, placodus, henodus.

Another dinosaur that I wish one day will make Safari is the tsintaosaurus in its new updated version and also a lambeosaurus, olorotitan, corythosaurus, hypacrosaurus, charonosaurus, velafrons.

In crocodilian animals and similar phytosaurs, my wishes are deinosuchus, purussaurus, smilosuchus, rutiodon.

Yes to Leidyosuchus

PrimevalRaptor

One thing I'm still very much hoping for (and which I mentioned in the last survey they did) is an updated Plateosaurus, I still think we don't have a definite version of this iconic herbivore.

Safari just announced on their Facebook they are going to reveal new figures for 2021 soon!

Shonisaurus

It only remains to wait. Hope they made a paraceratherium! Her counterpart from Itoy needs a worthy companion although I am definitely content with what Safari releases this year, I am sure it will be spectacular.

That's sadly true. On the other hand they usually reveal in late September- October and with this current situation it's good to have confirmation that they are at least somehow on
regular schedule.

If they're already teasing an announcement, I'd say we'll see the first true teasers/reveals by the end this coming week.

If I where them I would release the images on Friday then let the public soak it up on the weekend before sending the "mystery packages" out to the HowISafarists on Monday.
