QuoteTwo Baryonyx figures?

Why?

Why not?
What is off is that they have different colour scheme. I would prefere something more consistent.
Also I'm not fan of a yellow on animal that lives near river and lakes.

I like that sculpt, an the colours of the previous one.

Okay, I know nobody wants to talk about the rex, but how is that not an outright lawsuit?

New Baryonyx
Big feet.

Two Baryonyx figures?

Why?

This is literally the 3rd Baryonyx Mojo's made in 2 years. Given how they do things, I wouldn't be surprised if they made another one next year.

It's not like Papo's running rex is particularly original. Also, I sincerely doubt that Mojo's rex is going to be taking any sales away from Papo.

I pass the video or link of the Mojo troodon sincerely I believe that the promotional image is not different from the commercial image,

On the other hand, Mojo is unleashed when it comes to novelties of repainted or new dinosaurs. The baryonyx repainted is much better than its blue version.

So, let's see:

- 2 Giganotosaurus in 2 years :).
- 3 Triceratops in 2 years ???.
- 3 Baryonyx in 2 years too :o.

Spoiler
[the emojis are my reactions when the figures have been gradually announced].
[close]
Are these Mojo's favorite dinosaur species ::)? And should we expect something similar next year?

Killekor
Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

You're likely correct, they seem a bit fixated on trying to get these ones right, though I'd also add the T-rex to the list. Now, I'd hesitate to predict that there will be yet another repeat from this list in 2021, BUT, as they say, "the best indicator of future behavior is past behavior," so ... .

Silvanusaurus

Not gonna lie, I actually love that passion fruit cheesecake baryonyx. My only concern is that it isn't the size of the feet that are at fault on their previous blue Bayonyx, its the fact that they are at completely odd angles to each other and physically cannot both sit flat on the floor, so I just hope they've evened them out and not just made them bigger.

Szajmin

From MOJO fb page.

I like that color scheme more that that in first post:

SidB

Not as striking, but certainly more realistic.

Mononykus

Finally, a somewhat interesting lineup from Mojo. I liked their mammals, but their dinosaurs have been too similar to early Procon/Collecta: pretty generic and cartoony. There are still shades of early Collecta here, especially in the paint: the dark shading along creases and limb/muscle edges (representing shadows? not really necessary for a 3d figure) was featured on many early Collectas. These are showing signs of improvement, but in many cases there are better versions available.
So I will only comment on a couple.

The Mandshurosaurus is quite a surprise, and not bad looking. It is more affordable and space-friendly than the large hollow PNSO. I will be getting this one.

The Troodon Stenonychosaurus is okay. I'm not sure how well its proportions work, but at least it has reasonably feathered arms. The moveable jaw does not look very good, however. I might get this for teaching, however, so I don't expose my Favorite resin to the grubby paws of students.

Finally, the one that actually excites me the most is the Mamenchisaurus, because it looks like it actually represents a new species not made before (unless the photo is misleading). The hump at the base of the tail indicates that this is M. youngi, which has a tail that emerges at an upward angle, unlike the more typical M. hochuanensis (e.g. PNSO, Invicta) or M. sinocanadorum (e.g. Safari DoC?, Capcom). Species names are well worth knowing for this genus as it is something of a garbage pail, and if it is ever reviewed in detail, could easily be split into several genera. Incidentally, the type species, M. constructus, is shorter necked than the others, and has not been made into a toy (unless you want to count the overall badly proportioned GeoWorld which is shorter-necked, but the rest isn't any better). This means that if the genus is ever revised, chances are most or all of our toys will probably represent something other than Mamenchisaurus. (As is the case with Brachiosaurus Giraffatitan).

Indeed, why not ... (best not to expand on this)?

Shonisaurus

They could have repainted their velociraptor version 2018 in an improved sculpted version. I think it is a waste of money to repaint the original velociraptor figures from my point of view, they are not very attractive from my point of view even for children.

Loon

It's odd, given Velociraptor's popularity, that it seems to get some of the ugliest figures more than almost any other species, aside from maybe Tyrannosaurus.

I'd say it's exactly because those species are popular.  Everyone wants to cash in... with mixed results... ::)

I pass the link on the new baryonyx from Mojo. It is super cool and beautiful I would even dare that it is better than Schleich I pass a link to a video whose author is Andy's Dinosaur Reviews. It is bigger than expected.

On the other hand for the members of the Australia forum I have good news, all Mojo dinosaurs are already available on the minizoo.com.au website.

Dinoxels

Am I the only person who thinks the new Baryonyx looks a bit TOO similar the Safari Allosaurus? The pose similar, the colors are similar, ect.
Most (if not all) Rebor figures are mid

Huh, didn't know about the Bigfoot or the yeti or the great white shark. They all look pretty bad compared to the Safari Ltd versions. The shark in particular has terrible teeth. And seriously, did the artist never see a photo of a great white? Where are the pitch black eyes?
