Can we have a year that's just mammals?

Oh god, please no! That's literally the worst thing that could happen.

I honestly wouldn't mind if Collecta published only prehistoric mammals in 2021, I know it's a pretty unpopular opinion but I like them almost as much as dinosaurs. Of course, if they made only prehistoric mammals in 2021, I would like the deluxe-size paraceratherium to compete with the iToy paraceratherium in quality and size and the sivatherium.

I second Loon's idea totally agree. That Collecta in the next year would only make prehistoric mammals a good idea but unfortunately quite unreal. Collecta can't risk making only prehistoric mammals is not the philosophy of a classic toy / collectible brand. Collecta is played a lot and has to make varied figures.

A line of pterosaur figures by Collecta 2021 would be especially interesting when in recent years many and varied remains of these curious flying animals from the Mesozoic have been discovered.

I wouldn't think anything bad if, for 2021, Collecta upgraded some old dinos:

Standard size:

Wuerhosaurus
Tylosaurus
Corythosaurus
Rebbachisaurus
Pachyrhinosaurus
Styracosaurus
Chasmosaurus
Triceratops

1/40 Scale model (not deluxe size):

Stegosaurus
Ouranosaurus
Gigantoraptor
Neovenator (could replace deluxe and old standard size)

:D

Wuerhosaurus's appearance is unknown plus Vitae already made one, so I don't see the point in CollectA remaking that one.  Styracosaurus and Pachyrhinosaurus have already been done well more than once so I would find it boring if CollectA made them.  Triceratops and Stegosaurus are such important dinosaurs that I wouldn't mind CollectA remaking them.  Chasmosaurus really needs a good new figure though.  The rest of your choices are nice, although I'm not keen on CollectA doing a new Neovenator as I'd really like them to stop with allosauroids for a while, they've made so many of them.  One dinosaur I'd really like CollectA to remake is Utahraptor!  Velociraptor as well would be nice.

I think the Deluxe Neovenator still holds up just fine. The same can't be said for the Triceratops and the Stegosaurus, so new versions of those would be welcome. And an improved Utahraptor would be even more welcome.

I still think I'd be most excited over a Zuul figure, at either size class.

I wish a Deluxe size concavenator is a dinosaur that I like a lot for its rarity and although it is already fortunately well represented in the various brands of toy dinosaurs I want a larger size to be made.

On the other hand, I would like a deluxe size allosaurus since this year the standard size allosaurus has been commercialized, I would like a Deluxe size one.

On the other hand, I would like the deluxe version of the triceratops, ankylosaurus, brachiosaurus and chasmosaurus to be reissued in an improved version.

I would also like a tyrannosauroid in Deluxe version, for example an albertosaurus, daspletosaurus, gorgosaurus, tarbosaurus or alioramus the latter, the alioramus would make me forget its predecessor that although it is within the acceptable quality range, it honestly belongs to the obscure version of Collecta.

After receiving the Caviramus, I was wondering if we'd be getting another big Pterosaur next year. I'd love an Anurognathus.

S @Stolpergeist I would like a paraceratherium and a giganotosaurus to make up for the deficiencies of the Papo brand giganotosaurus.

avatar_Loon @Loon On the other hand, an anurognathus would be interesting, but having marketed a Deluxe Supreme pterosaurus in two consecutive years, wouldn't it be interesting if a Yi qi Supreme Deluxe was made by Collecta?

TethysaurusUK

Standard:
Corythosaurus
Homotherium
Cretoxyrhina/Squalicorax
Wendiceratops
Kaatedocus
Tethysaurus

Deluxe:
Barosaurus
Sinraptor
Allosaurus
Torosaurus
Palaeoloxodon
Titanites
Spinosaurus
Prognathodon/Globidens/Gnathomortis

Wildcards (either standard/deluxe):
Dakotaraptor
Nothronychus
Gorgosaurus

DragonRider02

I adore CollectA's Supreme pterosaurs, but it would be nice if they made some smaller ones.  They could even be standard sized flying versions of the supreme figures.

Also, pterosaur Toob! Come on, CollectA!

suspsy

Well, unless the pandemic has badly harmed production, CollectA will begin their reveals in a little over a month's time!

Yeah, although generally I find it a little lazy when they repurpose their large figures for the minis, I would buy the heck out of a box of mini pterosaurs. Might even buy more than one.

S @Stolpergeist You are honestly right, the giganotosaurus Safari and Eofauna make up for the scientific and quality deficiencies of other toy brands. I honestly prefer dark figures not only of dinosaurs but of prehistoric animals in general.

In the case of the carcharontosaurus, it would not have the slightest inconvenience for Collecta to make a new version, but honestly the current version seems more than acceptable, although like everything in life it can be improved. Of the acrocanthosaurus we have very good versions of other brands such as Safari or Rebor to give two examples, even the vintage figures of Battat are outstanding in their workmanship. I'm honestly not in this case obsessed with making an acrocanthosaurus.

From what they have commented on the everythingdinosaur about the need to make a xiphactinus, I think that next year it may be the xiphactinus and the leedsichthys problematicus? I hope that I am not mistaken, we need many more fish in the toy dinosaur brands, although I am honestly quite skeptical that if this or other figures of prehistoric animals such as prehistoric mammals are going to be very successful among children.

I don't understand how is it possible that CollectA haven't made a Yutyrannus yet. Come on, it's extremely well preserved, it's popular and it's a tyrannosauroid! They even made a Lythronax Xiongguanlong and Bistahieversor,  which are all much less known than Yutyrannus. There are very few models of it, right now I can only think of the Safari one and the Rebor one, and I think a new one by CollectA would surely be the best.

And also... Megalosaurus...the first known dinosaur...

Man, these are so obvious.

triceratops83

I usually implore Collecta for more trees (large Conifer, preferably monkey puzzle, and a tree fern in their smaller range) but one dinosaur I'd really like from them is a deluxe Lambeosaurus lambei. I mean, they've gotta find a replacement for that ugly as hell one they retired anyway.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

I don't quite like the huge feet and crusty skin of the REBOR version but I agree, there are good looking acrocanthosaurs.
Proper size toys of Xiphactinus and Leedsichthys would be fantastic, I just hope the latter will be accurate to our modern understanding and not look like the terribly outdated BBC Sea Monsters version.

These reconstructions by Bob Nicholls show what it should look like:

The BBC version that gets copied so often looks like a monster by comparison:

I can't get over how much like a salmon that looks. A big, prehistoric salmon.

If CollectA plans to continue with their Supreme pterosaur series, then I really hope the fifth one is Jeholopterus.

I would also like a lambeosaurus since those that existed on the market are out of print, I mean the lambeosaurus from Bullyland and the one from Invicta. I don't understand how a decent lambeosaurus lambei hasn't been made to date.

Prehistoric trees would be great for dioramas.

Wait, the BBC is why 80% of Leedsichthys reconstructions look like a skinless placoderm crossed with a butter cookie? I guess we can also blame them for most artists giving it pelvic fins but no anal fin, instead of the other way around.
