So I finally received this beautiful figure and I can understand why so many people consider this amongst their personal grails.

My confusion around this figure is why it was never commercially available. It's a beaut.

You can be proud of this piece. Congratulations!!

Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures. Do you know what book it's referring to?

If I remember correctly, Toyway Ornithocheirus was not sold separately but only with a sort of magazine, as limited release (Planet Three Publishing magazine).

("There is a rare Toyway Ornithocheirus that was only released as a magazine give away" / http://www.dinosaurcollectorsitea.com/Toyway.htm )

Maybe it's referring to magazine or to Tim Haines book ""Walking with Dinosaurs": A Natural History"..

I congratulate you UK for the super and very cool Ornithocheirus, I thought it was an illusion this figure like the unicorn. Toyway ornithocheirus is as rare or more like a four-hour clover. You are a very lucky man and I am very happy for you other than that the Toyway ornithocheirus I have noticed that it is bigger than I thought.

Enjoy them you have a weirder figure than the rarest metal in this world like rhodium.  :)

Halichoeres

In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

I don't even want to think what that figure will cost. My wallet could not afford that work of art. ::) :o

ceratopsian

Glad it reached you safely!  It's beautiful.

Ikessauro

Indeed an incredible achievement to finally have gotten one. Congrats! Can't say I don't envy you a lot.  ;D

I am still desperately on the hunt and in my case, other the obsession to complete the WWD set, I have lots of nostalgia for the BBC documentary.

Faelrin

Wow that thing is bigger then I expected, after seeing it in the mouth of the new Papo Spinosaurus (which I have beside me as of now). Seriously major congratulations to you for luckily having a keen enough eye to spot this, and adding it to your collection. Thank you for sharing these images of it by the way, as this is certainly my best look at it yet.

I truly wonder how many of these are also out there as well?

Congratulations for obtaining the Toyway Ornithocheirus, UK! You have been really lucky!

Killekor
Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

Of course I thought Toyway's ornithocheirus was a mythical toy. That is to have super luck, I thought it was impossible to find them.

I'm glad for UK and Invicta Hunters for having those beauties of ornithocheirus.

Roselaar

Excellent catch! It's a beautiful figure. :)

How did you obtain it, may I ask?

EmperorDinobot

I will, once more suggest that you play the lottery.

Don't wait.

Now is the time.

I am so happy for the UK and Invicta Hunters thanks to both I got vintage figures that were impossible for me to find, they were like "Dream on a summer night" metaphorically speaking but that dream has come true.

They both deserve that precious ornithocheirus figure for how kind and good they were with me. :)

Crackington

Well done UK, glad you got the figure safe and sound. I'm always a bit nervous if I get a rare figure, until it arrives in the post.

Thanks for the photos too - finally some new images of the model! This will help us all to keep an eye out for others, though I guess it'll be a long time coming until someone else strikes gold!
