Very nice! I like that pterosaur you added, good call. I really like the pains job on the suchumimus , it's very striking.

That elasmosurus is looking pretty good, can't wait to see it finished.
I find sculpting really relaxing and rewarding!
Which reminds me, I still have a bunch of my own marine reptiles to post!😂

Shonisaurus

avatar_Kapitaenosavrvs @Kapitaenosavrvs That juvenile elasmosaurus has looked great on you. His sculpture is quite finished, you have an admirable ability.

Halichoeres

That fate-tempting pterosaur turned out beautifully! The whole composition is very strong.

I look forward to seeing the elasmosaur's progress.

Thank you guys. Sadly, i am quite slow at the Moment, so it will take a bit. But theres plenty of time i think...

Just a quick Upgrade, because it is quite exciting how my first real sculpt-attempt will tourn out in the End. I just saw, that it is way too sloppy in Terms of Detail. Looks a bit rough. But we'll see. Moreover i made a few sea beings like different corals and an empty shell with Mosasaur Bitemarks. Just to get a bit more of underwater feeling.

Lets see, how this thing will turn out.

Bokisaurus

Looking really good and exciting! :D

Shonisaurus

It looks good, the mosasaurus prototype looks very good.

Justin_

That's a nice dynamic composition. I hope the Elasmosurus manages to escape!

Looks very promising so far. The seafloor organisms are a welcome touch.

Having you here. Are there any Suggenstions in Seaorganisms oder some Kind of Plantactivity, that comes to your mind in this case?
And thanks!

Thank you B @Bokisaurus avatar_Shonisaurus @Shonisaurus and avatar_Justin_ @Justin_! Sadly the Elasmosaurus will end as Food, i guess. He was the smallest and weakest of his Group :(

avatar_Kapitaenosavrvs @Kapitaenosavrvs  I am not sure about plants. I think a lot of the photosynthesis in this environment was accomplished by things like coccolithophores, which would be interesting to sculpt, but not at this scale! However, I think some mollusks that could be interesting are inoceramid clams (some were 2 meters across) and rudist bivalves, which secreted a column from one half of their shell to elevate them above the substrate. Their colonies are like little mollusk apartment towers. Info on both here: http://oceansofkansas.com/FieldGuide1.html

Oh no, avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres! I haven't seen your Post until now. I Am sorry! I'll look that up! Mostly for future Projects.

I am superslow and here you have an Update. Not completely finished, but almost. I want to do new things. I was a little hard on the Drybrushing on the Tylo... But yeah.
What i learned: Sculpting is fun. But i have to be very careful with stuff you sculpt, you see everything. I really really have to work finer! Practise practise practise.

So, my Elasmosaurus is a biiit rough. I hope, this is okay, but i would love to hear, what avatar_DinoToyForum @dinotoyforum thinks about the Elasmosaurus.

Oh, i know that the Pattern on the Tylo is a bit different on each side. This is on Purpose, because i can change the Animalposition. So there are two similar Patterns but different in the look.

The Elasmosaurus looks really good to me! The head looks great. It is difficult to say from the angle of the photos but perhaps the neck is a touch too short, and the torso also? See:

Please don't worry, I'm not offended :)

Very well done. I like the idea of giving the Tylosaurus two different sides so you can alternate the display. Thanks for sharing these photos.

Sarapaurolophus

That looks sick! Especially with the dramatic lighting, that poor little fella! I wouldn't have thought you sculpted him. You managed to match it up to the bought figure very closely when it comes to details. Very nice work.

Newt

Fantastic! The whole composition comes together very well.

Shonisaurus

avatar_Kapitaenosavrvs @Kapitaenosavrvs You have been great. The coloring and the scene is identical to the best palaeo-illustrations of marine reptiles. It is a beautiful work. How long did it take you to model it? It is a sublime set of marine animals from the Mesozoic.

Totoro

Amazing avatar_Kapitaenosavrvs @Kapitaenosavrvs!  What an artist you are becoming - look forward to more!   I have had no time to spend on any dioramas in the last 6 months but you certainly make me want to find time for it.  Not that I'd produce anything like what you can create.  :))

Bokisaurus

Wow, turned out great! Love the elasmosaurus, you did a great job sculpting the head and teeth!
I struggled with that part when I made one.
Great looking diorama too😃

ceratopsian

It's really well done. You must be proud of your work here.

Great to see it finished, the result is so beautiful.

Thank you very much. I am looking forward to see more of your Repaints and Resculpts :)

avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres Hehe, Thank you.

avatar_Sarapaurolophus @Sarapaurolophus  Thanks! As you will (probably) see in my Pics below, it looks not that professional. But it was a great thing to practise. I'll sculpt more in teh Future. It is a lot of fun, actually.

avatar_Newt @Newt Thats nice to hear and thank you, too.

avatar_Shonisaurus @Shonisaurus I am happy, you like it, Shoni! Sculpting the Plesiosaur took about 2 Evenings i would say. After every big step i had to bake it and i was also afraid to sculpt the Head and the Teeth, because it seemed so small and difficult.

avatar_Totoro @Totoro Thanks! No no, your Stuff is great!

B @Bokisaurus Thanks for the Words! I was so afraid of the Head and Teeth. I would do it different, the next time and it isn't the way i wanted it to be, but at least it's got a Head. For now. :D (I really would love to see more of your Sculptings and Paintworks!)

avatar_ceratopsian @ceratopsian Thanks for the positive Words. I love your Collection and i am always just speechless of teh Stuff you get from Martin.

Puh. Thanks. It is such a Motivation to share Stuff here.

avatar_DinoToyForum @dinotoyforum Thanks for the fast reply and i think you are absolutely right. Also, the Head and Paddles are a bit large. Moreover its a chunky one, when seen from the Top. It is quite hard to get the Shape sculpted, i imagined before.
This will definitly not be my last Marine Reptile. They are just so beautiful ans Majestic.

Here are some (not perfect) Extrashots from the Elasmo. As you can see, i was a bit too motivated, regarding the Folds and wrinkles while sculpting.
