I really like the box art for the Alectrosaurus, the color palette is beautiful. I'd love prints of more than a few of these pieces. I think the T.rex, Gorgosaurus, Bistahieversor and Alectrosaurus as prints would be insta-buys for me.

suspsy

I'd love it if the Moros artwork turned out to be a parent guarding a nest full of eggs or chicks. There's more to tyrannosaurs than killing and eating, after all.

He's already revealed the Moros artwork and it is not that. It depicts the creature trotting through a swampy environment. Beautiful in its own right and another example of the box art getting my attention more than the concept art ever did but I think the most casual depiction you'll find of the creatures here is in the Yutyrannus artwork where it's reclining and letting out a big yawn.

As far as the progress of the Kickstarter goes, I'm starting to sweat it. I think best case scenario at this point would be unlocking all but the Albertosaurus in the initial campaign. I feel confident the Tarbosaurus will be unlocked (banking on a last minute surge to get us the nearly 18,000 we need still), which in turn might get us to the Moros. However, I'm not sure that little figure will be enough of a draw to get the Albertosaurus unlocked. Although I will say that all of my priority figures have been unlocked at this point, hopefully I am wrong and all the remaining figures (which I would gladly add) are funded in the next 3.5 days.

The last two stretch goals have been added to the front page.

Notably this beautiful finished Albertosaurus:

And since I'm behind on sharing it here is the Alectrosaurus update. Not much new stuff here I'm afraid (such as the artwork which was shared above).

I'll be sure to update the op tomorrow.

The Albertosaurus looks gorgeous but it might as well be a shapeless blob for all the difference it makes to me.

I don't think Moros and Albertosaurus are going to make it.

Prove me wrong!

I agree....I really like that Albertosaurus too. Much more than the Daspletosaurus.

I'm really hoping they make a second version of the Alectrosaurus with the adult green tree boa coloration!

We nearly have $60,000 left to the Albertosaurus, and $15,000 to the Tarbosaurus. Nearly 3 days remaining now. I'm going to update the op in a bit here and change the title to 3 days remaining, to hopefully make folks more aware it is ending soon.

I think if for whatever reason the last two days don't have a huge surge (from last minute backers and pledge increases) as happened in the past with the previous two BotM campaigns, then surely David will likely rely on backerkit funding like he did with the remaining ceratopsians (and there was a much larger number of those compared to the 3 here) to get the rest any remaining funding.

I really hope the Albertosaurus gets unlocked even if it means I'll have to devote significant time to choosing between it or the Gorgosaurus. Both of them are just incredible.

Oh, yeah. All the tyrannosaurs are definitely getting funded at this point. Anyone who wants to buy a bunch of tyrannosaurs but doesn't want to be charged a massive amount when the campaign ends will hold off and buy their additional figures in BackerKit so they can split the charges in two. We'll see another surge in funding once the campaign is over.

Do we know how much prices will increase in the Backerkit?
I believe he said between $5 and $10 depending on the figure. Of course this is for preorders after the backer pledges are locked.
Then for retail I would expect another increase.

How does the backerkit work in this regard exactly? The steady climb in the amount I'm pledging is giving me pause and if there's a way to soften the blow then I'm all ears.  :o

Thanks! That's not too bad. With the raptors the increase was more substantial relative to the price of the figures. Some went from 35$ on the Kickstarter to 50$ at retail. I don't know what the Backerkit prices were.

I'll be pledging for the Yutyrannus and the Dilong, then. Any later waves figures I can get on Backerkit.

Fembrogon

Alright, my pledge is in. All of the figures look beautiful, but for now I'm sticking with the WWD T. rex, Dryptosaurus, and Lythronax. Those three are a chunk as it is for me right now; I'll worry about collecting more in the future, since they're obviously going to be available later.

avatar_Fembrogon @Fembrogon, let me know if you want to reserve either the Dryptosaurus or the Lythronax for review—although that will be quite a long way off!
