Hi Everyone. I Recently Discovered the works of a new artist on Facebook named Sarah Whelan-Devan, who just got into sculpting dinosaur models, and (IMO) is a one of the best amateure sculptors i have met. The first models she made were ONE OF A KIND, and she Sold them on her Etsy store, where she will contiue to upload new items ocasinaly.

Here

But this thread will not focus on just her original sculpts,  For you see. After I saw how Talented she is, I asked her if she accepts Commisions,

Here is my FIRST Commission.  A 1:35 Deinonychus sp

I Had her Base this model on the largest specimen of Deinonychus found on record acording to this chart that i found on Wikipedia.

I have been seeing her creations on Facebook too. Some are really impressive. Congratulations on your commission.

Gwangi

It reminds me of the Bullyland Deinonychus, only updated of course. She does excellent work.

Love this. Are these private commissions for your personal collection or will she be casting them? I'd buy that Deinonychus in a heartbeat.

Kinda debating the Dilophosaurus she has posted, just wish I liked that species more... hmmmm....

There Private Commisions.  So there are no other copys of this Deinonychus.

She is going to learn how to cast items eventually. She just orderd moulding supplys and sculpted a up to date spinosaurus that she wants to sell casts of.

However she is still going to make unique, and commisioned pieces as well.

Wow, did not know about her.
She does some amazing unique sculptures of prehistoric creatures !
I found more pictures of her works here:

There are some great paleo-artists out there, both professional and amateurs.
Looking forward to seeing the other two commissions !

:D The 1:35 Deinonychus is a beauty! I'd buy it instantly. Congratulations!

Uploaded Diffrent Photos, with more angles.

Halichoeres

That's an impressive model, especially if it's actually in 1:35. That's quite a small size to achieve that level of detail.

I'm so excited to see some casts... the Spino and Sucho look great and I would happily purchase if she does cast them.

Also I love the Epicyon. Canids are always my favorite, but there's so few models of non-extant ones. Depicting an older individual with a graying muzzle was also a great move, love that so much.

Holy Cow. These look amazing. That Suchomimus. And it will be casted. I am really, really interested. Great works! Also, i kind of like the vibrant Colours on the Models. They look a bit inspired by Videogames, which is nothing bad at all.

Sarapaurolophus

Very impressive! I am happy to hear she'll start making resins :)
So many of her works have a gentleness and naturalistic "aura" so to speak. Just like an actual animal would have. This is what I am missing in a lot of predatory dino toys or resins, they are often portrayed to be fighting, hunting or roaring. But her Rex has a very calm and curious expression and that Suchomimus is really graceful.

My favorite has got to be her Styracosaurus, tho. So elegant! Yep, I like dinosaurs that remind me of gentle cows and horses ;D
Need to follow her!

My Second model from her has arrived in my household

A robust take on Monolophosaurus jiangi

Halichoeres

Not bad! I think a lot of figures of these early theropods make their hindlimbs too long, but I think she avoided that pitfall.

A beautiful Sculpt! I really need to get some Super Sculptey. I really want to try sculpting.

I hope she is going to make Molds now. There have been a lot of really nice Animals from her. Thanks for sharing in first place, i did not know her or her work. I love these private, smaller sculptors, that make special Figures. It is often too expensive for me, but just looking at the work is great.

Shonisaurus

Nice monolophosaurus sculpture and also with a pretty good base, I suppose that being made of resin they will cost more than normal. Nice shape.

Takama

My Newest model is not a Commision. instead, it is a Original model. In fact, one of her firsts.   This Dilophosaurus is bigger then the other two. and spent a long time on her Etsy shop, waiting like a puppy for someone to adopt him. Well now hes mine.   So here he is
