Germany, yes, another one!  :)

I've been lurking for a few months, and recently started a (small) collection of dinosaur models. I'm interested in natural history in general. Palaeontology, mass extinctions, palaeoclimatology, palaeogeography, evolution, it all fascinates me. Dinosaurs are amazing but I enjoy learning about all prehistoric life, be it the weird creatures of the Ediacaran and the Paleozoic, the reptiles of the Mesozoic or the mammalian and avian megafauna of the Cenozoic.

My fascination with prehistoric life started when I was a child, and my best friend told me that my pet parrot resembled the raptors in the Jurassic Park film (hence the username). Sometime later I came across a book on Charles Darwin and evolution, and there was a chapter on Archaeopteryx as the "missing link" between reptiles and birds. I was amazed that what me and my friend saw in my parrot was actually true. The anatomical similarity between birds and theropod dinosaurs was not something we imagined but a scientific fact. I was quite proud to have a little feathery dino-descendant as a pet. This made me a believer of evolution and science from an early age (I was around 12 at the time), and here I am! Because of this story, I have a special affinity for feathered theropods but I like all genera of dinosaurs.

Looking forward to spending time here!

In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

That is an adorable fluffy dinosaur you have there! I like how it's proudly looking back to its ancestors.

I have two myself.

avatar_Psittacoraptor @Psittacoraptor Welcome to the DTF I also like feathered dinosaurs. The PNSO yutyrannus is quite an attractive figure more than the old-fashioned dinosaurs. From what I see you have very good knowledge. You will greatly enrich the DTF. Enjoy this forum is the most suitable for collectors and lovers of prehistoric life and obviously the dinosaurs the main protagonists of this forum.
