For those interested, David plans to make Dakotaraptor after its skull is found.

I think I read David say the Utahraptor and Achillobator will have interchangeable toes like the 1:6 BotM dromaeosaurids.  To anyone who has any of them, are the interchangeable toes on the 1:6 dromaeosaurids loose?  In videos and photos I've seen them twisted to the side a number of times and it looks terrible.  I wouldn't want to have something where the toes easily move into odd positions.

I can't decide which Utahraptor I like more, the BotM or the Cyberzoic.  I'm going to put both of them below so I can easily compare them.

@Sim On some of mine they are, others are a bit tighter. Of course using them frequently will loosen them further over time. That said it isn't too difficult to get them in a position one prefers after the rest of it is posed.

And even though these prototypes are using their wing tips as supports, I'm hoping these Utahraptors will be more stable on the base then some of those 1/6 raptors. If it at all possible, it would be good to continue the trend of static standing legs for long term stability with optional articulated legs for short term posing (such as toy photography).

Also thanks for posting those side by side together. Like you I'm not sure which to get. Ideal would be both, or eventually. That said I wonder when the BotM version will go up for pre-order? I may just settle for the Cyberzoic version if that's available first (such as the kickstarter coming up).

Edit: @EmperorDinobot Thanks for sharing those pics, and confirming my thoughts. I even double checked my measurements in my Dinotoyblog review of it since it isn't on hand atm (but hopefully back with me soon) to get an idea. Really can't wait to get my hands on one or both Cyberzoic and BotM versions. Unlike the Utahraptor these have unique head sculpts to differentiate them beyond the colorations.

A tough decision indeed. Both patterns are winners. The people at BotM seem to have put some extra love into the paint applications of this specific species.
I would slightly tend to the first (lighter brown) version, because the close-up portrait a few posts ago was so impressing.
Still not sure if they can convert that into all mass-produced figures. .... it would be great though.

Great idea! That would make the series much more attractive for me personally.

Thanks @Faelrin!  I've decided that I prefer the BotM Utahraptor, so I think I will get it.

David has said the BotM Utahraptor and Achillobator will go up for pre-order soon, next week I think it was.  With an aim for them to be released later in 2023 alongside the wave 3 BotM tyrannosaur figures.  David has also said the Cyberzoic versions of these dromaeosaurids will be in the Cyberzoic Kickstarter and the plan is for them to be released in 2024, if I'm remembering right.

I prefer the blue coloring on the Cyberzoic version, despite the incredibly life-like detail of the BotM version. Although I do think it's unlikely that the final product for either figure will have quite the same level of subtle detail in the paintjob as these prototypes.

I like both of these will probably get them. On another note I prefer the cyberzoic Achillobator over the botm version, I may still get both because I dont want to wait for the other one to release 🥲🥲.

I was expecting both Utahraptor and Achillobator color schemes to be part of the Cyberzoic Kickstarter. Nice to know we'll be able to pre-order at least one version of each before then!

This is just so gorgeous, and it's just in the wip concept art stage right now. Can't wait to see what the final prototype will be like. One of the best colorations I've seen given to Carnotaurus yet. Almost reminds me of the Sideshow Ceratosaurus in a way.

It looks fantastic! I'd let it slide being a 1:25th scale collector to allow this beautiful 1:18th scale Carnotaurus in my collection. My only gripe is the similar colorscheme it has to the Lythronax as that Tyrannosaur was my main desire for the line... Ugh decisions... decisions...

It's time for another Cyberzoic update- here's a first look at the final design for the Smilodon armor, with modular parts compatible with the yet-to-be shown Andrewsarchus!

Very glad to see another mammal confirmed, and it's Andrewsarchus. Hopefully it will be based on the up to date Cetancodontamorpha interpretation. Although it's technically pretty fragmentary, it does at least have the skull to go by, if not some relatives.

Utahraptor is up, I placed my preorder. I'm curious how the production version will look, the paint job looks too ambitious for mass production.

I still can't decide which Utahraptor I prefer more. At least having the price for this one revealed now gives a good idea to prepare for the Cyberzoic one once the Kickstarter launches in October, just in case I settle on that one.

Which version have folks here settled on?

A) BotM
B) Cyberzoic
C) Both is good

Edit: Likewise feeling the same with Dilophosaurus. Which do people prefer there?
