well that's a lot of news at once lol  I'm guessing this is meant to hold us over til the Chinese New Year is over and they are back.  A new Spino..maybe. I'll have to see it finished. I'm waiting on the WDragon one and I have the P1 small scaled statue on preorder.

There post did mention "pterodactyls" but they said Pterosaurs aren't profitable?

Man..I wanted a JP3 Brach, but the sculpt is the same as a female from JP, not the stockier one from JP3 and the shipping was like 80.00 on it?  I don't know if I want to order another one so soon for so much?   What are the chances when they decide to make a new sauropod they will make it the stockier Brachio?

Is Facebook the only way to communicate with Nanmu?

I'm not with Facebook, but I want to suggest to Nanmu that they release:

1. Siats Meekerorum

2. Acrocathosaurus

Unless its in the movies, I don't think Nanmu would attempt those just yet. I hope so down the line but really they seem to be 100% on movie monsters.

What material will that spinosaurus and brachiosaurus be made of? Honestly Nanmu made a fabulous spinosaurus very recently and it seems exaggerated to me that they release another one, but honestly the prototype is great. Obviously spinosaurus is making a huge profit for toy dinosaur companies along with tyrannosaurus rex and to a lesser extent giganotosaurus.

Theropods are the kings of the toy dinosaur world of all collecting companies. However it is sad that allosaurus is not as successful as the other three theropods mentioned although it is produced regularly I think it is not as popular with non-collecting customers as tyrannosaurus, spinosaurus and giganotosaurus.

BREAD:

Yes, I am hoping against hope that Nanmu will release a non-JURASSIC PARK dinosaur like its Giganotosaurus.

From what I gather, the only way to communicate with Nanmu is via Facebook and Twitter, which I don't participate in.

An earlier post said Nanmu is seeking suggestions, so maybe they are looking beyond the JURASSIC movies---so I suggest Acrocanthosaurus and Siats. If anyone here is on Facebook or Twitter, please suggest Acrocathosaurus and Siats Meekerorum.

The Brachiosaurus should be a PVC version, I would guess the Spinosaurus will be as well.   I think they are releasing one in a slightly larger scale like the Once and Future King and the Giganotosaurus piece, which don't fit into the original figure line.

BLADE-OF-THE-MOON:

The Bigbadtoystore $12.88 savings was the delivered price compared to Lana Time's delivered price. I got my Nanmu Future King from Lana Time Shop a long time ago, but Bigbadtoystore still has it preorder, so their Brachiosaurus could be months away.

Did you get both of your Nanmu Brachiosaurs from Lana Time?

Wait... you got your Once/Future King from BBTS "a long time ago"? Huh... interesting.

EDIT: Disregard the above post, my eyes and brain were not sync'd at that moment.

Sturisoma

Nutcracker soldiers already on pre-sale. The corpse is so expensive, more than the sick triceratops. Does not even have a base. But I really like it 😢 Guess I'll just buy both living versions and have maybe 2 macarons painted.

Read that again lol

I went ahead and ordered the original color Para and the corpse I guess it's more due to being a heavy 7" lump of resin.  But's very unlikely anyone will ever make a figure or statue of that particular TLW piece ever again.

D'oh! In my defense I was super bleary-eyed from a case of the Grippe. Thanks for setting me straight!

That's great. I am a fan of figures of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals in PVC format. I really like the resin ones but my budget and space and security to maintain these figures do not allow me.

Brachiosaurus and spinosaurus Nanmu PVC, that's good news thanks for the info.

Blade-of-the-Moon

So I've been hearing that the chances of the Standing Brachio getting here in one piece are about 50/50.

It actually prompted Lana to send me an email about it.

QuoteDear Customer,
Sorry to bother you.
We checked that your item NANMU STUDIO Standing BRACHIOSAURUS Figure has arrived in the US, the tracking number is 5132081290 and it should be delivered within the next few days.

At present, buyers from the United States have reported that even if the package was sent by DHL and the package inside was changed, there was still serious damage after arrival, please refer to the picture.
For this reason, we have contacted DHL to try to make a claim to make up for the buyer's loss.

In order to solve this situation better, please accept the package in front of the courier, and if the Brachiosaurus is damaged, please complain to your local DHL or the courier and get the complaint number, please keep all the packaging and box until compensation.
And send us these pictures:
1. Damaged model.
2. Photos of each side of the outer carton and inside the box.
3. Shipping label.

As long as you follow our advice, we can speed up the processing of your refund and even offer you a full refund.

Waiting for your reply.

Best regards.

They also sent a pic showing some of how they tried to pack it better, but it still was damaged.

My couriers often just leave packages on my porch anymore even if it's supposed to be signed for, I've asked Lana what to do in that case, I'm guessing just contact DHL?

I'm a resin statue collector and I've a decent number of them.
Also I'm not a painter so I received all my resins already builted-up by various artists.
And the shipping box was always oversized.
Usually the figure was entirely wrapped around a lot of soft toilette papers (..I know, it does not look elegant but it works..).
Then the model was wrapped into bubble plastic.
The packaging was almost twice the size of the model and filled with other paper or soft plastic sheets.
The statue cannot move or swing inside the box.
The chinese artist M-See uses black soft material (like Nanmu) but the model is so tighted inside it that it can't move (and you have to cut the black material with a blade to remove the statue).
Shipping costs were always high but I never received a damaged resin figure.

The Nanmu packaging for the resin Brachiosaurus doesn't look enough to save it from shacking, even if filled with cotton..

That's why I choosed the pvc walking version instead of the resin one.  :-\

:)

Shonisaurus

Resin dinosaurs and prehistoric animals in general are very beautiful but when they break due to any accident, then to have them repaired by a specialist it costs you the same price or even a higher price than what you had bought said figure. It is the problem that I see in these figures, that is why I focus on PVC figures or less noble materials than resin or polyresin because they are in that case more durable in the event of accidents.

Blade-of-the-Moon

I can pin and fix a clean break and some paint work..it's hard to match the original. But I wouldn' like to pay what I did for this to have to do that kind of work.

I do applaud Lana for showing the damage and trying, the package may have other packing. I'll take pics if so.   I think this is the last resin sauropod Nanmu produces that's for sure. Which I'm good with.

Blade-of-the-Moon

Lucked out and the packing kept my Brachio safe.  Good thing as the driver had dropped it on the porch and was pulling out as i got to the door.

I'm happy that your copy is safely in your collection.
I hope that all this situation will teach something to Nanmu just in case of future releases on resin..

:)

I have a feeling we won't see much more in this size at least. You can see where the breaks were occurring, there is a barely visible seam where it looks like the neck is two pieces. Unless it's just a weak spot in the mold?   I'm more than happy with them sticking to hollow vinyl, separate tails, necks, ect.. to make the shipping cost work.

That delivery guy was pulling out and I was trying to flag him down lol Had to get a shirt on so it was a bit nutty looking.  Then I opened the box quick muttering to myself "I bet it's broke. I bet it's broke" lol  To be fair there was a big ding in the box too, it went through the outer cardboard and just barely dented the interior box but I was already panicking. I was relieved more than happy for awhile lol  I just hope others have luck.  It's hard to tell but they are numbered, I think mine is #91 ?   I did super glue it to the base, I just didn't trust it after all this worry.
