And they won't, either!  C:-)
That said, it is a nuisance how much less convienent it becomes to play said media if one depends on current tech.

...But we're drifting a bit. PhP would absolutely benefit from physical media, if only for the fact that we'd be guaranteed HD viewing regardless of device or internet connection.

avatar_Fembrogon @Fembrogon I totally get you here. My newest laptop doesn't have a disc drive like my older one does. My older one still works, but for how long I can't say. Now if I want to watch stuff like that I'd have to go out of my way to buy a new device that can be connected, when it used to be built into laptops back in the day. A bit of a hassle.

And since you mentioned that series, the Netflix Camp Cretaceous series 1-3 is at least released on DVD, maybe Blu-Ray as well.

avatar_GojiraGuy1954 @GojiraGuy1954 While that's true, there's no point if you have no device that currently supports it, unless you go out of your way to hunt for something that does. It used to be a staple on many devices for years now, and now with streaming it's drying up fast.

I'm also not a huge fan of how streaming is taking over everything these days (let's be real, it's to keep milking people out of their money, and in the case of Apple particularly, they have more then their fair share as it is). It used to be convenient in its early days, but now with many companies getting in on it and splitting things up, adding yet another subscription fee (or more) to the pile, and in some cases, now increasing their fees, adding ads, etc. It just isn't as worth it as it used to be.

I'd also be down for a DVD release. I haven't seen the show in it's entirety because I am not interested in streaming. If it weren't for DVD releases, I wouldn't have seen most of the BBC natural history programming that I have since it doesn't really air here in the states.

Any new RickRaptor105 video is a pleasant surprise, but especially this 1 (which I've been waiting for since May)! It did not disappoint 😉 I especially like the angle he took. It reminds me of when Albertonykus said, "At its most basic, Tet Zoo does two big things. One is introduce us to tetrapods no one has ever heard of. The other is tell us how freaking weird tetrapods we all thought we knew really are" ( http://web.archive.org/web/20160203124907/https://blogs.scientificamerican.com/tetrapod-zoology/tet-zoo-highlights-2006-2011/ ).

Today there was a lot of great dinosaur news :)

But the question is would I be able to make a new free trial or that wont be allowed?

Carnoking

Well, I'm glad they're doing more. My only concern is a year turnaround? That doesn't seem like a lot of time, I really hope this new season doesn't feel rushed

If Favreau is still involved the quality is still going to be top shelf.  Besides, Sir David Attenborough is 96 years old.  It wouldn't surprise me if year two had been shot and voice recorded concurrently to season one and then they were just finishing up the animation in post production.

The thought of them having shot and recorded enough for two seasons had occurred to me. I also considered the possibility that there may be a smattering of sequences that were cut from the first season. Here's hoping.

This little part of my life...it is called happiness.  :D

Jose S.M.

That's fast! I'm so happy. The article I read shows an image of Tarchia, which was a background animal in the waterhole sequence, so that and other models might have been completed beforehand. Also they could have shot more landscape images that were unused in the first batch of episodes so that possibly save them some time.

DragonRider02

Apple just saved 2023 from title of 'The worst year for paleodomedia, possibly ever' (after the travesty of 'Dinosaur with Stephen Fry'. And probably '65').

Don't forget about Life On Our Planet coming to Netflix this year.

Pliosaurking

After seeing how fantastic the first season is I'm extremely excited for the second season!

SpartanSquat

Glad to see a second season! Earlier this year MPC (the vfx house that did Prehistoric Planet) posted a reel showing new dinosaurs like rajasaurus, isisaurus and saltasaurus, maybe those are for season 2! Other dino we saw in production was the silouette of a pachycephalosaurus
