What would be the taller one that ever existed from what we know ?
And the longest ?
And the one with the biggest mass ?

I would say for a height matter it would be the Argentinosaurus ?

Those are some heavy questions. I wouldn't want to stretch this out..but your really reaching. ;) :)

I got it from Lana Del Time, so likely it's MuSee, but it's unbranded, so I'm not really sure.

Quality is great though. Pieces fit like a charm, with only minor cleaning. And it's a heavy bugger!

Well, I bit the bullet, and, after the Maraapunisaurus and Barosaurus / Supersaurus figures I also ordered the Argentinosaurus through AliExpress.  Although it won't arrive for at least two months, perhaps even three.
Was a little hesitant at first, but it would look great next to PNSO's Mapusaurus.
I love (big) sauropods, because these are just such wonderfully weird animals, unlike anything that has lived since.

And I just discovered MuSee will also release a Dreadnoughtus later this year in 1:35th.

Do I have any idea where to put these giants? No.
Do I want them?
HELL YEAH!!!  8)  ;D  ;D

R @Remko What Argentinasaurus are you referring to?

Those are some nice and HUGE models. I don't know how much I would trust ordering one built/painted and shipped by SAL though?

I followed the production process of this on instagram and pre-ordered it after some back and forth in december last year. I'm so excited! The photos look absolutely stunning.

Custom patagotitan in 1:35, so it's around 80cm and my plan to put it in my shelf fell apart. Gonna need a bigger boat..

Justin_

That is magnificent. When you say custom, is it a model that has been customised or was it built from scratch?

Rayeknor

Custom from scratch, it is by a modelmaker in Brazil so you can pick your own color scheme. See another example here:

I present to you, LanaTime's Argentinosaurus in the given 1:35th scale.

Solo.

With PNSO's Huangetitan.

With Nanmu's Brachiosaurus.

With CollectA's Ruyangosaurus.

With Lana's Alamosaurus.

And with some smaller Titanosauriformes 1:35th scale. Sonidosaurus, Atacamatitan and of course tiny Magyarosaurus, as well as two 1:35th human figures.

Close up of the smaller figures.

TooOldForDinosaurs

What a monstrous figure  :o  But I love it. Do you plan on painting it/ getting it painted?

I plan on have it painted.
But have to look for someone in my country. I've had some smaller figures painted by Raul Pedroche in Spain, but won't ship this giant (or my other two giants) to him. The chances of them getting lost in transit will be very possible, as well as finding a big enough box and high shipping costs.

But if I can have them painted by someone in my own country, I can just deliver them in person.

Painting them myself... I've never painted any figure, so in the short term will certainly not attempt to do these.

Stegotyranno420

I knew it would be big, but I had no idea it would be THAT large.

It dwarfs the Ruyangosaurus, which is already a large figure.

I wonder how it scales with W,Dragon Girafititan or Haolonggood Apatosaurus

I'll post some photo's of it with Giraffatitan tomorrow. Apatosaurus has to wait, that one hasn't arrived yet.

But yeah, it's really big.

SenSx

Thanks for the pictures Remko,
that is a resin kit I was really looking forward to see, I really hesitated to get it in 1/35.
But I did not know if it really had an accurate size or not (I asked the question somewhere else for some enlightenment).
In the end I opted for the Patagotitan from Dinosaur Era because it was a better deal (good price, and fully painted).
But if you can afford that Argentinosaurus it's great, really massive, can't wait to see it painted !

Remko

Some more shots of the Argentinosaurus.

With the W-Dragon Giraffatitan.

With the contemprary predators Mapusaurus and Meraxes from PNSO. This also shows the size of those giant theropods. Argentinosaurus is still much bigger, but you can see that if they gang up on an older individual, it should be possible to take it down. Similar to a pride of lions taking down an elephant or buffalo.

Close up.

Close up on the head. It's quite detailed, only the material doesn't show that well on a photo.

Now, I need to think of a way to properly set up my Maraapunisaurus and Barosaurus. But these are more horizontally built, and therefore harder to photograph.

Quote from: thomasw100 on June 17, 2023, 09:10:00 AMI have recently seen some offers of large 1:35 scale sauropods in the Jurassic Zoo Store (aka Lana Time Shop) on Aliexpress. These are offered as pre-orders and both as unpainted an painted variants. Species available are Argentinosaurus, Barosaurus and Maraapunisaurus. They seem to be produced by some studio in China. The pictures show size comparisons with Nanmu Brachiosaurus, which demonstrate that they are really huge. They seem to come in parts and they are probably hollow resin models. Obviously they also come with a hefty price tag. Unfortunately, the pictures do not show the details of the sculpting very well and they do also not show the details of the painting. There are some notes in the offers to contact them first when ordering a painted version, suggesting that it might be possible to discuss the painting style with them or at least to get more detailed pictures of the paint application. My question would be if anyone on this forum has had any experience with this kind of offers, for example what would be the quality of sculpting and paint application?

T @thomasw100

I have all three of these figures.
They indeed are extremely large (Barosaurus is over 170 cm along the curve), and if they are 1:35th will be up for debate as well as your own preference and/or interpretation of the available material for these animals. But they sure are impressive.

They come in four parts (head, neck, body and tail) for Maraapunisaurus and Argentinosaurus, and in five parts (head, neck, body, first part of the tail and second part of the tail) for the Barosaurus.

They are all hollow resin and quite lightweight for their size.

Detail of the sculpts are pretty good, although the green material photographs poorly, so a proper paintjob will really do it justice. Fitting of the parts is generally good as well, only minimal work is needed on some parts, most will fit right away.
I do recommend to use some strong glue, preferably with a primer when assembling them, because the contact surfaces are not that large and especially for the tail and necks the weight plus length will prevent it of holding securely.

I'll post some close-up shots later today. Because getting them in a single frame is impossible, at least when you also want to see any detail.

Remko

Here are some photo's.

Argentinosaurus. I've already posted several complete and comparison shots of the Argentinosaurus, so will now only show the extra head mine came with.
Detail is pretty good, especially in the teeth.
