Do you mean the Safari Ltd. Nanotyrranus? That is my opinion of it... instead of it being a new species I guess that its probably juvenile T.rex specimens.

Oh duh! avatar_Saarlooswolfhound @Saarlooswolfhound I wasn't reading closely enough, I mistook that for the Wild Republic rex: https://toyanimalwiki.mywikis.wiki/wiki/Wild_Republic_Polybag_T-Rex

but with shades of the Wild Republic Baryonyx:

The Dino Dana figures are different enough in style from Safari's other dinosaurs that my brain registered it as another brand entirely!

No worries at all! I can see where the confusion came, the dino dana figures imdeed look very different than their main line. I bought this figure as it sits as a landmark in terms of controversy at the very least, but the expression it has makes me laugh! Sometimes in a good way, sometimes not.

A couple of new friends after a birthday splurge.

Some new models! In a stroke of good fortune...

I got seduced into PNSO awhile back, and my compromise for myself was to focus on their smaller/cheaper models (like I do stablemates for Breyer nowadays). I first got most of the unique marine and flying reptiles and then the feathered dinos. I wanted to get the rest but felt I had to go on slowly to avoid bankruptcy. ;) Recently a member here (Duke Dino) had a deal I couldn't refuse! He got the entire PNSO mini dino set for only a handful of models. I am only missing 2 now for my collection; the maomao which I can buy on its own, and one of the flying reptiles I will be patient to buy (the model was the reason he got the 200$ set, its retired and hard to find).

Some of them are adorable babies, many of them are just mini adults. There are some flaws but overall, this is stunning detail and paintwork for such miniscule figures! THANK YOU Duke Dino for the opportunity!

I also got the TNG elasmotherium but forgot to take a pic of it on its own. Now I just need to grab the smilodon when ita back in stock...

Latest additions from the last month or so. I got some really fun models.

The Papo iguanodon isn't new but I pictured it with my new 3D printed Relics of Gaia Crystal Palace iguanodon. I have been appreciating the retro dinos after listening to lots of nonfiction dinosaur audiobooks lately.

Then, as a side note here: my collection has FINALLY been moved to a place of accessibility and I am THRILLED. A little over a year ago when I moved my huge collection went from a large display room to being in storage. For the last year it has been in a loft type of area that was difficult to keep organized and get stuff out of. That put projects on hold or at least drastically slowed (like renovating my website). Now it has been moved and I hope to get back to it all and get back up to speed! I collect extant animals too but I was missing my prehistorics so here are shots of models I was appreciating today.

And then I realized I never presented my TNG stegodon, woolly mammoth, or elasmotherium here. The sabertooth cat should be here in a few days but that will have to wait.

Be still my heart, the Bullyland Arizonasaurus. One of the few Bullyland figures I'm still hunting for. Congrats on the newfound accessibility for your collection!  :))

What an assortment you have here. Glad you can now have them out of storage!

Also that retro 3D printed Iguanodon is awesome! I need to look into acquiring one for the retro theme.

Concavenator

Congrats, that's a great batch you got!  :)  I also got the Safari Qianzhousaurus recently, after becoming aware of its retirement, and I'm very happy with it.

That's a beautiful assortment of non-dinosaurs, too. I particularly like the CollectA Edaphosaurus and Safari Estemmenosuchus. The Eofauna proboscideans are amazing too (just like their dinosaurs as well).

These TNG models are becoming increasingly tempting! Where do you order yours from?

Thank you everyone!

I have gotten nearly all of them from this ebay seller: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_dkr=1&iconV2Request=true&_blrs=recall_filtering&_ssn=la-na-time-shop&store_name=lanatimeshop&_oac=1&_nkw=tng

They come from China directly but the shipping wait actually isn't too bad. Maybe 2ish weeks. I got impatient waiting for the smilodon to get back in stock and ordered off of aliexpress, then got an email 3 days later from the seller saying they got it back in stock.  ::) Very good seller though! Very communicative, easy to work with and reasonable prices.

Thank you! These seem to be reasonably priced. Are they the same feel as Eofauna or Safari? Or are they a softer material? I definitely want the stegodon.

Saarlooswolfhound

I would say they are very comparable material. Solid plastic, decent heft to them (for the elephants anyway. The megacerops, elasmotherium are a bit smaller than my safari megacerops so of course they are lighter. jury is out on the smilodon until it arrives).

Sadly they are still in a "storage" state inside boxes... I used to have 13 bookcases I used to display my collection. My new space is MUCH too small to even display any of them... BUT at least they are now accessible so I can present them here now. :)

13 bookcases! But I can see how that happens - collections tend to expand to fill the space alloted to them.

Yes, for sure! But I collect extant animals too, not just prehistorics. They had an entire bookcase + some wall hanging shelves for display though. :) My entire collection (mammals, birds, reptiles, aquatic, domestic animals, and prehistorics) are 5,000+ items. Haven't made an updated count recently...

I can see why you might want to slow right down from collecting for a long season. Too much of a good thing, I suppose. A hiatus gives the appetite an opportunity for the appetite to recover. In my experience, I find that I have to be careful not to acquire too many dinos, etc. too rapidly, lest my interest become satiated. I need a time to 'digest" my acquisitions. It's not a formulaic or predictable thing- just a matter of paying attention to my inner self, always a challenge.

Halichoeres

Great additions! Bullyland's Permian and Triassic figures are real gems.

You only wanted the Wiwaxia from the ROM kit?

The figure came up for trade on STS from a friend. I would LOVE to get the other oddities from this series. I can't get enough of the "weirdos" of the past. ;)
