What a nice suprise, painting looks a bit artificial to my eyes though.

Wow, first Lokiceratops on the market and it looks great. And you all were worried!

Honestly at this point it wouldn't surprise me if they just announced they're not making figures any more. After four years of monthly releases, 2024 just got slower and slower until we've had radio silence for two months.

But if they would not make figures any more, they will be finished as a company. What else would they sell to keep afloat? The few books and the occasional exhibition materials?

This was a purposeful tactic, I jinxed them into announcing a new figure  ;)

Looks gorgeous, I love that frill!

Flaffy

The eye spots aren't as nice as the Torosaurus, but other than that minor nitpick the rest of the figure looks stunning!

I love that they included the asymmetric frill horns. 4 months from description to figure release... is that a new record?

Yup, you can't count them out!

Oh wow I really like it.

I did not plan to pick this particuliar specie, but this figure makes me hesitate.
MUST RESIST.

My feeling is that PNSO is now really into the competition with Haolonggood. When Lokiceratops was published they must have realized immediately that this would be very likely to be on Haolonggoods menu next year. So they decided to be faster. This confirms my view that the PNSO release of Camarasaurus was a clear answer to the Haolonggood release.

And it makes it highly likely that the long march of the theropods that we saw last year was indeed a reaction to the lips paper. They rushed everything to completion that they had in the making and advanced to the point where they could not modify the sculpt any more.

Forgot to say that this PNSO Lokiceratops will be a first day purchase. We had quite a long pause of PNSO ceratopsians and the increase in sculpt quality is really amazing. Still the last PNSO ceratopsians before this one are really good, but one can see the difference.

I like the colors, but they seem to be a reharsh of the Tyranotitan and Camarasaurus, but wishout the red/pink part.
But since I don't own those two...

ceratopsian

The colour scheme will blend in well with my Haolonggood ceratopsian herd. I haven't had long to wait until a Lokiceratops hit the marketplace!

They just announced a Lokiceratops...

I was doing my best not to doom post and honestly I didn't expect the worse or anything it was just odd how long they went without a release, very nice to see a new figure from them

Faelrin

It's hilarious that I just posted about their silence only for them to come back and dump this beauty on us. And talk about how fast it was lol. Just described in June. Like the turn around on getting this thing sculpted, steel molds for it, paint samples, etc is faster then I would have expected.

I also love the fact that it has the asymmetrical epiparietals (frill horns) so you can tell it's based on the only individual we have (the holotype EMK 0012). It's also been quite a while since PNSO has last done a ceratopsian so it is nice to see one again (last was Centrosaurus I think).

I think its impossible to know unless we hear it from them but yeah, every time pnso releases a new figure I always revaluate my thoughts on HLG lol, this is why I'm so picky

bmathison1972

Nice. Ceratopsians are my favorite group of dinos, so it will be an immediate purchase once HHT gets in here in the US!

Which part of the painting do you refer to, the markings on the frill?

I would agree with the frill but noting a lil touch up cant fix

Samrukia

it's good that i shuffled some of them

PNSO dropped everything to bang out a dinosaur that has only been described for four months. You gotta love it.
