avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin My attic isn't any wetter, drier, hotter, or colder than anywhere else in my house, so I have no idea how this happened. I have a LOT of toys from a lot of different lines (many that are decades old now) stored in the attic and nothing like this has happened to any of them. This seems to be an issue only with the Amber Collection.

What's especially damning is my AC figures share a tub with my original real-feel Jurassic Park Kenner toys. Those are 30+ years old, made almost entirely of rubber, and are all still in pristine condition.

Faelrin

Well, that's even worse. Perhaps it's the material used then, and maybe it is more prone to breaking down then whatever Kenner used back then. I suppose it'll make me more prepared for the inevitable.

On the other hand, at least yours is kind of like your Fell now, like avatar_CityRaptor @CityRaptor said? An interesting thought anyways.

Also here's some new images of some the recently revealed figures and sets, and pics of the new mini sets (all shared by Collect Jurassic, if not other folks):

It's so weird to me that Mattel is including things like the Atrociraptors in the Rebirth Mini line, especially in something like the Advent calendar. And yet dinosaurs like the Aquilops, D-rex, and Mutodon are missing. The Mutodon is shockingly absent across the toy lines. What's the secret? It's in the trailer.

Figures that a nice little Aquilops figure is included in a set I have no interest in.  :-\

Eatmycar

I sincerely think the D-Rex and the raptor-dactyl things are missing because of Universal. They probably didn't want the toys to spoil them, or just didn't finalize the designs in time. Both Mattel and Lego use raptors in places you would expect the the mutadons - the Zora Bennet story pack and the Lego set at the gas station.

Some users in the JP Toys discord say that Universal was/(may have been?) thinking about cutting the Mutadons before they told Mattel which film species to make.
Mosasurus on Jurassic Mainframe and JPToys
Angurius on TohoKingdom

I love all the Jurassic movies, plus Disney's Dinosaur

I want that Aquilops. Wish it'll get an additional release later on in a smaller set maybe.

Makes you wonder if the Velociraptors were completely replaced by the Mutodons!

I'm starting to fear that's the case...

Faelrin

That would probably upset a significant amount of folks (including me). Imagine making one of the best raptor designs (and one of the general public's fav dinosaurs), and then not have it show up in the film, replaced entirely by another hybrid.

Considering the toys were made in advance, and vfx is still being worked on, who knows.

Every film since the first has had Parasaurolophus, Tricreratops, Tyrannosaurus, and Velociraptor. We've only seen the Parasaurolophus as a corpse so far, and of course the Tyrannosaurus. No sign of the Triceratops (except a skeleton?) or raptor. The only time we did see it was the two headed one (which was replaced by the mutadon), and the foot (possibly also replaced?). It's definitely weird having it on merch and the toys, but not shown once in either trailer outside that.

Everything else shown:

-Ankylosaurus (in marketing and Mattel toys)
-Aquilops
-Dilophosaurus
-Mosasaurus
-Pternaodon (I think?)
-Quetzalcoatlus
-Spinosaurus
-Titanosaurus

and the two hybrids.

Dilopho

Rumour has it that the Velociraptors were heavily replaced by the Mutadons as the movie progressed, but they still appear in the film even if it's a small amount of screentime.
Probably like the Pyroraptor in Dominion or maybe even the Ceratosaurus in JP3.

But being present at all is better than not showing up IMO. I guess we have to wait and see.

crazy8wizard

I have noticed that quite a few things have changed between the first trailers, the first set of renders, the second trailer, and second set of renders. I'm willing to bet the absent creatures are missing for that reason (for instance the look of the Aquilops seemed to have changed a little between the two sets of official renders, as did the titanosaurus).

There are also old renders of the Spinosaurus where they are blue with fully black eyes, and a circular sail

avatar_Dilopho @Dilopho The sail is pretty clearly cut off to fit in the cards circle layout. There's another image of that full Spinosaurus artwork with the full sail shape. I'll try to find it in a bit here.

Edit: Okay the artwork I'm thinking of is actually slightly different, although it is in a similar pose.

avatar_Dilopho @Dilopho also I don't think that really is blue, I think the grey color with blue background just makes it appear blue. That skull shape is fantastic though, I wish it stuck around.

andrewsaurus rex

i took my first look at the Hammond LW Stegosaurus today (pictures only).  It looks pretty good.  Not as up to date scientifically as the upcoming BOTM but it is 1/5 the cost and far better sized for 1/18.   Will make a reasonable 1/18 S. ungulatus and i like the wire tail feature for posing options.

Cretaceous Crab

Does anyone know if that 15-pack of minis is a Target exclusive or will it be available anywhere, or just somewhere else?

Blade-of-the-Moon

Made a very nice haul today but haven't taken pics yet. Lab Lockdown Rex, D-Rex, Blast Mosasaurus, SC Mosasaurus, Titanosaurus, Mosa and Rescue Boat Inostrancevia ,
Yuxisaurus and the Torvoneustes. Also found some of the new Miniverse Jurassic World embryonic dinos and Rebirth Captivzs.

Paleomimi

Did the mattel humans get that good? :o Or is it more of a promo image thing
