How did you get them before me?  Did they turn out OK?  No Rex?

Hi, dear Krentz!

I think they arrived so fast because I really, really, really love them... and it's X-mas magic!!

No, really... I think it's because I'm in Europe and Shapeways ships from EU... that means a shorter travel and no customs.

The T-rex and the Brachio will be my X-mas present from my uncle. So I won't be able to have them until January... so probably you will have your T-rex before me! (I really hope that).

The models... what can I say? They turned out beautifully and I adore them. I just wish you will make more poses, more species... I am sure your kid will love the triceratops, it's ultra-sweet!

I took more photos of them. White is not the best color to see the details but I hope they can help you to see how do they look...

That doesn't really make a difference. There is a Shapeways factory in the US as well.

But I don't know if the EU fabric has as much orders to handle as the USA one... anyway, X-mas magic make sense for me.

I don't know, maybe they're about equal. I wouldn't think there's much of a difference.

Looks like they all stand up OK! Thanks for posting.

You are wellcome!

They all can stand up OK! The only one with a bit difficult balance is the parasaurolophus, but as you can see, it can stand up beautifully :)

Want to know what I would love? A chubbie Theri! Just imagine! ::)
like a bantha!

krentz

Bummer about the Para being a little front heavy.  There are two things that are hard to  judge with these.  a) their relative size/volume to each other.  I'd like them to all be roughly the same size, and b) having them stand.  I'll have to adjust the para model a little for that, slightly longer tail maybe ( that might kill some cute though) or a less hollow tail.

A Theri would be fun.  I'll add that to the list.

Did anyone else notice that Shapeways did an interview with David Krentz?

http://www.shapeways.com/blog/archives/2361-dinovember-feature-an-interview-with-3d-printing-dinosaur-design-master-david-krentz.html

Congrats on being interviewed :)

Thanks TQ!  I was on my way to picking up my son from a place called Kidspace the day they needed a picture of me.  Kidspace has an area where kids get to "exhume" dinosaur bones.  I just grabbed those two dinos, jumped into the digging pit and had my wife snap a bunch of pictures.  The timing was just right.
