In wishes I hope safari will rerelease some of their old ceratopsians they retired but I want some large frill ceratops like pentaceratops, torosaurus and chasmosaurus. In other dinos: Torvosaurus, plateosaurus, corythosaurus, lambeosaurus. And other prehistoric beasties: more cenozoic and paleozoic fellas.

Good choices!

And am I the only one who would be interested in seeing a Thylacosmilus figure? I don't believe there is one from any of the major companies at this time (but could be wrong).

In any case....a super cool beastie that just doesn't get talked about enough!

J @japfeif Kaiyodo actually released one in 2022. Though I wouldn't be opposed to another.

Here's an image of the one I got back then (among some others part of the same set):

There's also one from Jurassic Hunters. I got mine before the Kaiyodo was released

I agree. IMO we should count figure releases by the year they actually arrive customers hands.

Update for UK peeps, the 2023 Utahraptor has finally arrived at EverythingDinosaur! Grabbed my copy. ^-^ Still waiting on the rest of the lineup though...

If Safari somehow manages to announce a Torvosaurus before or during Dinosaur Empire's Kickstarter, I will surely forget about their Torvosaurus (and PNSO's Megalosaurus, for that matter). Well, the price tag of Dinosaur Empire's may cause me to forget about it, too.  :P

Stegouros listed as available from Safari's website.

Received a notice a few days ago, just need more in stock items to place an order.

Faelrin

Good thing I get paid in a couple of days. I hope that discount I got for when the Psittacosaurus I bought was out of stock, is still usable now. Would be great to have this alongside the Mattel one for my review of it. Might pick up the CollectA one at some point as well. Does anyone know if the Dinozoo one is still available too?

I don't know, but I doubt it. If you're referring to the painted version, DinoZoo announced back in April 2022 that they had 10 units available. So safe to say they're sold out by now, but you could always try asking them. But last time they posted any update was in August 2022, so it seems they've disappeared.

P.S. I noticed DinoZoo's Stegouros is misspelt as "Stegourus" on the DTC site.

avatar_Concavenator @Concavenator Unfortunate but I guess I should have snapped one up once they were available. Technically not a toy anyways, but I'll make note of it in my review of the Mattel set with it.

I saw that the other day, so I'll need to fix it once my hiatus/burn out is done.

I would certainly buy a Thylacosmilus. Safari is long overdue for another prehistoric mammal.

suspsy

Indeed, Safari's last prehistoric mammal was the 2019 woolly rhino. It is definitely long past time for them to make a new one!

I would like to think that if Safari made a salamander it would be a North American species, like a tiger salamander, instead of a European fire salamander. We'll see what happens!

That Chattanooga Aquarium set was fantastic. They should reissue those again.

Shane

That list appears to be 100% wishful thinking.

It is a fantastic set, and a holy grail for me. Although Safari's sculpts are now the best they've ever been the company as a whole seems far less ambitious or daring than they did in the 90's and early 2000's. The 36" alligator they used to make, the Chattanooga Aquarium set, Baltimore Aquarium dart frog set, partnerships with museums, etc. Not a lot of that sort of thing going on anymore.
