Hi everyone :D
Now It's June, and I think the companies are going to announce their new releases soon(I think). But before this happens,I would like to start everyone's favorite guessing game.2014 Hopes & Dreams. You can say of what you think companies would surprise us next year.If you want ,you also can put some of your dreams.(Mainly expectations, please ;D)If you want put also the reason of the dinosaur/prehistoric animal you say.And...HERE IT BEGINS!!!
I guess these:
Carnegie:
Don't know,but please moar than 1 figure,please!
Wild Safari:
Yutyrannus(exotic,could have a great exit)PLEASE SAFARI!
Another exotic ceratopsian ( based on Vagaceratops & Diabloceratops)I gues Kosmoceratops or Xenoceratops.
Deinonychus:cool, well known, would have a great success and would make collectors happy because a resculpt of this dino would bring memories to the past of the Carnegie line.
Koolasuchus:exotic, exciting and anticipated cuz we need Wild safari ancient amphibians!
Suchomimus:very anticipated!!we need a figure of this African beauty
CollectA:
Standard range:
Apatosaurus:if you see their stats ,every year they release a sauropod. That would be nice according with the striking Diplodocus.
Giganotosaurus:a must for CollectA.Highly highly anticipated for we CollectA fans.Could easily be released ::)(I think).
Yaverlandia family diorama:exotic,cool.
Xenoceratops:almost every year they produce one ceratopsian(or more)would be nice to see after their brand new Diabloceratops.
Yutyrannus:recently discovered(of what CollectA specializes in ;)),cool,highly anticipated,likely to be released,I think.
The rest...SURPRISE US COLLECTA!
Deluxe:
Allosaurus:very very anticipated for me,could easily rivalise with the Papo one((Isn't a joke)
Prehistoric beasts:
Arsinoitherium:with their recent exit on prehistoric mammals, would be interesting to see a Deluxe figure of this amphibian mammal.
Papo:
Giganotosaurus:would certainly be glorious, hope the forum request of it to be accepted.
Therizinosaurus:would be a nice surprise,guys.
Bullyland:
Ceratosaurus:wouldn't be a surprise (I think)
Edmontonia:nice, exotic.Would have exit because of Walking with Dinosaurs 3D
Schleich:a bit disappointed on the quality on their figures :-\but I expect:
Ceratosaurus:again, wouldn't be a surprise for us
Ouranosaurus:a chance to release a cool hadrosaur
These are my thoughts.I would like to see your expectations and dreams guys.Cheers! :))

Hard question to answer, because what I want and what I expect are two different things ;)

What I would like if I was in charge of the companies:
Let's see....

Papo
Apatosaurus (sideshow style)
Giganotosaurus

Carnegie
Acrocanthosaurus
Allosaurus

Safari Ltd.
Not too picky, just ditch the current sculptor who produced those clown footed texture stamped abominations *yuck*

Bullyland
Don't really care

Schleich
Don't really care either...maybe some more pterosaurs or marine reptiles?

CollectA
Plateosaurus
Liopleurodon
Dimetrodon

I would really love for Kaiyodo to rerelease some old kits.

Concavenator

Tyrantqueen,CollectA have released a Plateosaurus and Liopleurodon. ;)

Oops, yeah, I guess they did. Maybe they could make a Plateosaurus with unbroken wrists and in a bigger scale?

sauroid

i'd like to see more prehistoric mammals and birds from all the major brands, also obscure dinosaur and prehistoric reptile species in 2014. i'd like to see new major western brands in the next few years that have the same caliber as the japanese figure makers.
"you know you have a lot of prehistoric figures if you have at least twenty items per page of the prehistoric/dinosaur section on ebay." - anon.

Yutyrannus

Carnegie:
Utahraptor
Tyrannosaurus (feathered please..)

Wild Safari Dinosaurs:
Yutyrannus
Kosmoceratops
Cameroceras

Wild Safari Mythical Realms:
Manticore

Papo:
Giganotosaurus
Arctodus
Diabloceratops

Mojo:
Thylacosmilus
Arctodus
Shasta Ground Sloth
Basilosaurus

This is really the main things I want next year.  I put Mythical Realms here because I had to put it in somewhere.

"The world's still the same. There's just less in it."

Blade-of-the-Moon

Carnegie

New Stegosaurus
New Apatosaurus maybe a bipedal one ;)
New Allosaurus
New Pachycephalosaurus
honestly there are so many that need updating !

Wild Safari
They're doing pretty good so far..but a bigger more detailed Nothosaurus would be great.

Mythical Realms
I wouldn't mind some new dragons but they need to get more detailed with them. This years was kind of meh.

Papo
Giganotosaurus
Ceratosaurus
An Apatosaurus or Diplodocus would be cool
Some sort of Pliosaur

CollectA
I fully expect a Yutyrannus from them or from Safari..maybe both.
A DELUXE Allosaurus would be great..maybe finally some more arger deluxe sauropods too..or failing that make one 3' long for their big display range for 100.00 .

I haven't seen enough good Mojo dinosaurs yet to be excited about them..and Schleich and Bullyland I've about forgotten exist.

Since I just started on geoworld.  I will say that I want them to continue there series and not retire any of the figures.    I also want a yutyranus, period. I don't care who makes it, as long as its decent and easier for me to obtain

Species from geoworld(and\or collecta) I would like

Archeoopteryx

Shuvia

Pelecanmimus

Alioramus

Minmi

Saurophaganax

Adasaurus

Leptoceratops

Titanosaurus

Alamosaurus

Ampelosaurus

Neovenator

Wananosaurus

Gasosaurus

Shunnosaurus

Dubreuillosaurus

Proceratosaurus

Sinraptor

Massospondylus

Barosaurus

Dicraeosaurus

I also hope geoworld would make a line dedicated to cretures before the dinosaurs

Moschops

Eryops

Icthyostega

Euparkaria

Opabinia

Arthroplura

Phlegethontia

Ophiacodon

Dimetrodon

Diplocaulus

It should be noted that 2014 will mark the 25th anniversary of the original release of the Carnegie Collection. So I would expect at least one from 1989 to get a new updated sculpt.I would say that the most likely is Allosaurus or Stegosaurus. :)

Don't you hate it when you legitimately compliment someone's mustache and she gets angry with you?

The real question is this one:"Which one or ones could it be?"
So let's drive everyone crazy all summer until just about somewhere between Thanksgiving and Christmas when Safari says publicly what they will be releasing next year...
It will be either Allosaurus,Apatosaurus,Euoplocephalus,Maiasaura,Parasaurolophus,Protoceratops,Pteranodon or Stegosaurus :)

Assuming it's not something released AFTER 1989... ;D

Some of those figures have been resculpted since 1988.

My one hope is that someone releases a Pegomastax, or perhaps Microceratops, Yinlong, or one of the more basal Ceratopsians. I.E.  Leptoceratops,Koreaceratops, unescoreatops, zuniceratops

Authors with varying competence have suggested dinosaurs disappeared because of meteorites...God's will, raids by little green hunters in flying saucers, lack of standing room in Noah's Ark, and palaeoweltschmerz—Glenn Jepsen

You never know, after seeing one Koreaceratops already released from CollectA,another of that species or any of the others you name is certainly possible.
And now that you mention it,I do remember a second Allosaurus and Maiasaura turning up in the Carnegie Collection in the mid 90's,but both are dated now and are ripe for a new sculpt (but I will call the Maiasaura one of the least likely to get another new sculpt.) :)

My vote is for all of the above..really blow us out of the water ! ;D

A brand new Carnegie Allosaurus would be unleashing.I really like Safari Ltd but I think the Apatosaurus, the Stegosaurus and the Allosaurus aren't at the level at the actual Carnegie Line.I love seeing new genres but sometimes remakes are a need.I also think the Apatosaurus remake is likely to be done in 2014.When rumours appear...I think the result is the figure.(See the Concavenator case last year)
Another possibility is a Wild Safari Archaeopteryx.Someone said last year that bassed on some comments on social networks it was likely.I suggested it to Safari Ltd.and Safari said:
Safari Ltd. Archeopteryx is on our inspiration list already, Josh (In bold and all-caps, I think), so hopefully that will one be flying (or gliding) your way soon.

This is from someone who wants it.I also want a Yutyrannus,by CollectA or by Wild Safari, but really want it :)

I don't know, but last year they were announced on late September.I am also excited about them...QUITE EXCITED!

Concavenator

Hi guys  :)
I have already started a poll about what dinosaurs do you think are likely to be released by Safari/Carnegie next year. Please vote. Thanks and cheers! ^-^

Gwangi

Like Takama I would like to see a Yutyrannus from any company. I suppose I would prefer it most if Carnegie, Safari or Papo made one. A properly feathered dinosaur from Papo would be intense.
I'm also hoping for a Camarasaurus. I know Carnegie made an excellent one but it's one of my favorite sauropods, I want another! I know that isn't likely.
An Acrocanthosaurus from Papo or Carnegie would be welcomed.

From Papo specifically I would love to see an Apatosaurus, Amargasaurus or Ceratosaurus.
Carnegie...more diversity please, beyond that I don't care.
Safari...just keep up the great work. I've really been enjoying their latest releases. Even the big-footed theropods.
CollectA...don't care, was not impressed this year. A lot from last year ended up being let downs IMO.
Schleich...don't care.
Mojo...stick to mammals. Still waiting for this years releases. Those are high priority for me.
