I'm alright with Pachyrhinosaurus, it is one of my favorite ceratopsians and not because of its recent spike in popularity. I would like to see an Einiosaurus to some day, another favorite of mine.

Glad to hear you're pushing for ceratopsians Doug, I for one welcome them, especially when they are the quality they have been recently. There are too few of the more obscure ceratopsians in model form.

Hello Juan Andrés,
Actually the choice of Pachyrhinosaurus has nothing to do with WWD 3-D. It has been one of several ceratopsians that I have been suggesting to Safari ltd over the last few years. Vagaceratops was the first that I was able to convince them to let me sculpt. I had done the restoration of the holotype skull and I thought it would make a good figure. When it was received well the owner of Safari was more receptive to do more horned dinosaurs. I had just completed the sculpture of Vagaceratops when several new ones hit the news like Diabloceratops and Kosmoceratops. I put together a list and after Diabloceratops was chosen the owner decided on Pachyrhinosaurus for the following year. More often than not the ideas for new pieces come directly from the owner but she also listens to Safari's fans, sales people, retailers and sometimes me if I make a good case. In the past they have accepted my recommendation to do Dunkleosteus and the Coelacanth. In the case of the  Pachyrhinosaurus it helped that I was able to tell her that several members on this blog had requested it.
I had seen ads for WWD 3-D but I have never seen the actual film it so it was just a lucky coincidence. As for the next ceratopsian well ..............

I really like the Wild Safari Vagaceratops, especially since it closely resembles the following models:

Pachyrhinosaurus is a good choice, but I would prefer if WS released ceratopsians that have very limited or absolutely no representation in the toy market (e.g. Einiosaurus, Medusaceratops, Pentaceratops etc.)

I completely agree.

I wouldn't mind seeing Styracosaurus or Centrosaurus myself.Or maybe Chasmosaurus. :)
Don't you hate it when you legitimately compliment someone's mustache and she gets angry with you?

Too many quality Styracosaurus are readily available (e.g Favorite, Papo) for consumers. Yes, I certainly agree regarding a Chasmosaurus figure.

Sorry, but to me there can never be too many Styracosaurus models out there.(But that's because it happens to be one of my childhood favorites, along with Ceratosaurus.) :)

Hello Doug,
Sorry if my thoughts about the Pachyrhinosaurus being chosen because of Walking with Dinosaurs caused incovenience.I just thought that because WWD 3-D was coming up it had something to do,but now I know that's a falsehood.
Your Pachyrhinosaurus model for the Wild Safari line is awesome,as well as all your ceratopsian for that line.Your Pachyrhinosaurus' forefeet looks strange,I think. The posterior feet are accurate (just my opinion,I saw a Triceratops' skeleton, and its forefeet are identic to its posterior feet.
The ceratopsian trend is a great point.People like ceratopsian dinosaurs, and if you  at Safari Ltd.want to continue it,it would be fantastic. Some species are becoming very popular, like Nasutoceratops and Kosmoceratops, two very bizarre looking  ceratopsians.
Cheers!

Blade-of-the-Moon

I would love to see the ceratopsian line continue until most if not all of them are covered...being created by the same artist makes a nice collection of these I think. They look good displayed together really.

Please do a Kosmoceratops next, I was hoping that it would be released this year, though I love the Pachyrhinosaurus and will definately get, it's awesome! :)

A Kosmoceratops for the WS line would be indeed amazing  :)

Like Blade-of-the-Moon I would also like to see all or most of the well-known ceratopsians, but unlike recent (partial) finds I'd like to see ones like Centrosaurus - an animal completely known from hundreds if not thousands of skeletons thanks to bone beds. Yet no model exists in plastic of Centrosaurus. I'd also like to see Chasmosaurus, Anchiceratops, Albertaceratops, Achelosaurus, Einosaurus, Arrhinoceratops, Pentaceratops, and Torosaurus.
I'd also like to see the hadrosaur line continue with such models as Lambeosaurus, Tsintaosaurus, a new Hypacrosaurus, Corythosaurus, Brachylophosaurus, Prosaurolophus, Shantungosaurus, and possibly Kritosaurus.
Doug Watson rocks!

Concavenator

I personally prefer more bizarre ceratopsians-like Kosmoceratops and Nasutoceratops.

If Safri ever makes a new Triceratops. I wish it to be a different species from the current one.

I would prefer a Torosaurus from Safari Ltd.

Takama

That could work to.   Thing is I like there current Triceratops. and I would hate to see it replaced. If they ever need to make a new one. I want them to make a different species.

I like it too but it's not like if they make a new one the old one will disappear.  ;)

If that's true,I'll buy them all and create a wonderful ceratopsian display.  :)

I always ask when this topic is raised, if we could perhaps have a few more of the basal ceratopsians that are not as derived as the more commonly produced dinosaurs. A pegomastax, or Yinlong, a new psittacosaurus, or perhaps a good solid depiction of Koreaceratops or Gryphoceratops.....anything along those lines would be rare, unique and I for one would enjoy them.
Authors with varying competence have suggested dinosaurs disappeared because of meteorites...God's will, raids by little green hunters in flying saucers, lack of standing room in Noah's Ark, and palaeoweltschmerz—Glenn Jepsen
