Honestly glad to see them doing something really old school. Would probably fit in right alongside their oddities and some of their other things as an interesting display piece on its own. They definitely have a place in the history of what folks used to think these animals looked like. Much like the Crystal Palace reconstructions.

I'd love some modern Knight style Dinosaurs too, but Rebor's sculpting just isn't appealing. It's too textured and the pose looks stiff. Maybe it'll look better in person, but if their recent figures are anything to go by, I doubt it.

After seeing the one avatar_Blade-of-the-Moon @Blade-of-the-Moon posted I really have to agree. The one there looks so much more faithful then Rebor's over textured style. Really a shame they can't seem to break from that. More detail isn't always necessarily better. It's certainly strange too how the head is faithful but not the rest of it. Honestly does look a bit inconsistent the more I compare the two.

Because it's one of the two head scultps we designed for the body, the other head sculpt represents an 80's carton T-rex and so body needs to suit both styles, there will be two sets of arms and feet too.

Now this sounds fine.

avatar_REBOR_STUDIO @REBOR_STUDIO Ah I guess that makes sense. Parts sharing does help keep costs down too. I guess I'm curious to see how those 80's styled ones turn out, now that you mention that. Right off the bat I'm guessing it would be based on Dino Riders. Would be interesting to see it reworked into some Primal Rage rexes though, since they kind of had that tail dragging look to them. Would really like to see a Diablo or Sauron to go with the Alpha Gorilla Z based off Blizzard I pre-ordered someday.

I'm guessing dino-riders or Sharptooth...

Can't believe I didn't think of Sharptooth honestly, what with how often I watched Land Before Time growing up. I would be so down for that as well.

avatar_REBOR_STUDIO @REBOR_STUDIO Does that mean this "retro" dinosaur will be detachable? I think it's a very good idea and it makes that figure great and with those low prices with which you sell us these high-quality figures, it prevents pirate companies from damaging your company, since a buyer who buys in online stores is either From eBay, Amazon or Aliexpress, they will prefer the original figure to the copy, that is, they will prefer the figures of the Rebor brand.

By the way, when will you sell the titanoboa devouring the crocodile and the smilodon? And when will carnotaurus and ekrixinatosaurus be on sale? Will there be color variants of all these figures? I like all your figures

So, it's not only a compromised Knight Tyrannosaurus, it might also be an incredibly poor representation of these two.

You´re just being rude now. At least wait until we have some more images of the actual figure to bemoan how bad it is.

This retro Tyrannosaurus might be the first Rebor product I'm actually excited to get a hold of. Just can't resist old school theropods.
In the end it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens, but that humblest of all God's creatures... the Tyrannosaurus rex.

I get the impression that this is going to be the best quality smilodon ever made by a company of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals. When is it going to be commercialized?

So they are hand sculpting the fur on this one, after the muscles were done digitally, which was a smart idea. The detail looks great. Is this the first time they done this?

avatar_Shonisaurus @Shonisaurus I too am wondering this. I think this will be the first S. populator proper to hit the market, and for it to look as good as it does now, I can't wait.

Edit: Has this been posted yet?

A titanoboa devouring a crocodile, I hope it was a prehistoric crocodile, in this case it seems that they are making a lot of progress in the realization of that great Paleocene reptile, by the way I ask again when will the titanoboa devouring the Rebor crocodile be available? I can't wait totally agree with you avatar_Faelrin @Faelrin

I wish the Munchin' Monty was a full body model... I saw the life-size version that the Smithsonian did a while back...

Wave 1 of the Oddities Fossil Studies Museum Class Skulll Replicas are up for pre-order at BBTS, $35 each, a little over 5 inches tall on the stand, limited single run...

Shonisaurus

As commented on Facebook by the Rebor company, the commercialization of Rebor's titanoboa called "Monty" was canceled since the expensive production of said figure (it was made of a special material) gave the company more losses than profits, so they have made this new version Titanoboa Monty on polystone statue.

I was hoping the skulls would be somewhere in the $20-25 range.
$35 each is too much moola for me.  :'(

I'll have to pass with everything I'm paying on at the moment. Glad to see they are available soon though.
