:)  Love all the retro stuff.  I'm going to have to take the time and review your whole collection.

Thanks for sharing Doug. I didn't know you sculpted the tiny microraptor, you'll be pleased to know I've been travelling around for the last eight years or so with a keyring version of that figure attached to my backpack  :)) I bought it in Sweden during a research trip to the Stockholm Natural History Museum in about 2005/6 and it has accompanied me ever since! I will lament the day it eventually becomes detached...

That is really neat, and I am honoured. That Microraptor has probably flown more than any living version. I did all the feathered dinos in that AMNH Toob and another sculptor did the rest. It bugs me that I can't remember his name, I had it once but I lost it. I think I gave the name to Mike Fredericks for PT so one of these days I'll dig up that article.

The keyring recently went with me to China, into the IVPP, and into Xu Xing's office, where - as an aside whilst on the topic of Microraptor - I told him about the little figure's decade of travels.  :D

Looking at the original plesiosuchus sculpt (which is fabulous), the paint from the factory really ruins the figure for me.
The teeth are painted sloppily, the stripes are very distracting and the eye is often messed up.
I'd rather purchase an unpainted version of the plesiosuchus.

You are welcome, gave me a good excuse to get them out of the box for a brief time anyway. I wish I had the room to have these things spread out all the time.

No, that one isn't mine. If you go to the first entry of my collection and scroll down you will see all the original sculpts for my Safari Ltd prehistoric pieces to date. On page 8 reply # 156 I have the production pieces minus the 2016s, I should get around to adding those,

Oh thanks for the reply, I thought you forgot it. And another question: That monitor lizard that is near to Sauropelta from which house is?

Doug, when Safari reveals all the prehistoric pieces officially, could you please post some pictures of the originals you did? It would also be interesting if (again ,when Safari reveals the dinosaurs officially) say which ones were sculpted by you? (Since it looks that some of the models we have already seen certainly don't look as yours). Thanks  :)

I'm somewhat tempted to write "I see what you did there"..... but then, again, I am not sure...

if by that you mean another pop culture reference you would be correct.
