Haha, in comparison with that other sickle claw, the Schleich Velociraptor is a real beauty :D

@ those other abominations: "Lifelike" and "real skin and bones", packaging says it all...

They both look hideous to me.  Although it's interesting the one on the right doesn't have a JP "Velociraptor"/allosauroid-like head or pronated hands!

It may tip on the ground, but the Schleich still has a big, sickle shaped claw... anyway, they are indeed both hideous and neither of them is or will be part of my collection by all means :D

Shame that all my "chinasaurs" (or whereever they have been from) are lost, can't add anything as ugly as the creatures shown here...

For some reason I can't help but see this whole shelf as a dance battle. All we need is a glitterball on the ceiling... :))

Jasman has the ugly card down on all their dinosaurs but this one in particular has that special aire.....

Do you have any more pics of it? If you ask me it looks worlds ahead of anything else Jasman has ever made, even has pycnofibres.

Halichoeres

It might be an illusion caused by the upholstery, but it kind of looks like its crest is serrated. My imagination?

No.... You got it right, the crest is serrated. The texture of how its wings are sculpted on the back side makes me think of chewed on banana laffy taffy...... lol This thing is seriously weird looking. Even more weird than my giant pterabatdyl..... That one will have to wait till I get to my moms again lol.....

But yeah, Id have to take some more pics of it.

Ive got some real gems coming in on a couple big lots.....

Here's one I found at my local store. He's pretty adorable  but does have some foot issues...! Didn't buy this creature despite the tempting price tag.

That one seems kind of charming TBH and reminds me of my grandparents' pups, heh.

This chinasaur that's supposed to be Psittacosaurus.  Words cannot describe how much of a joke that label is.

UPDATE: Okay, so I found out that this toy was actually based on old restorations of Psittacosaurus, and not just an old restoration of Iguanodon that happened to be mislabeled as a Psittacosaurus.  Apologies for any confusion generated by this post.

How come?  It looks basically like I'd expect a Psittacosaurus to look when made as that kind of figure.  It's far from how Schleich, a big brand who's found in so many shops now, has made five different Velociraptor sculpts, each one based on the JP Velociraptor and more hideous than the one that came before it.  I'm surprised Schleich refers to this as "feathered" (the lack of feathers isn't even the worst problem with it!): http://www.schleich-s.com/en/US/toys/velociraptor_mini/

CityRaptor

Ah yes, that thing looks more like a non-albino Indominus Rex than a Velociraptor.

But hey, it has things on its arms that kinda look like feathers. So it is feathered like 90s Avimimus.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Sim

Hehe, you're right on all counts, CityRaptor! :))
