I got my Walmart exclusive lunchbox in the mail yasterday and omg it's so cool! It's not a cheap little tin lunchbox either. I was surprised! It's really nice! It's embossed on both sides and looks amazing. If anyone gets the chance I really recommend picking it up, the lunchbox looks great on the shelf.
Also did anyone know that Bestbuy is selling all of the Jurassic Park films in round tins as well?

I decided to get the lunch box as well and I agree, it's really nice. I might actually use it! But probably not, gotta keep it in good shape.

I decided against getting the model gift set. Although it is admittedly nice I didn't care for the packaging of the movie itself. Taking that into account I also didn't want to sink $70-80 on the models. For that price there are a thousand other models I would rather own, including some of the old Kenner JP toys. I might regret it later, lol.

My Mom was out At Walmart and she surprised me with the Lunch Box set.   Now to be honest, I only wanted the Bluray DVD Combo set.  But she got me the Lunch box which i will never use, and i have no idea where to put it.    I debated long and hard about getting Two figure set, but the way they package the media ruined it for me.     The only thing i hope is that Someone will review these two for the blog, before they become true Collectors items.

If no one else does it first, I can if I get the time.  ;)

Ok. I only seen this film once in theaters.  And I liked it then.     But for some reason. I'm disliking it each other time I watch it on bluray.  I hate that Zara was wasted when she was just doing her job And I can't help but hate The teaanager for running off away from her.

Eddie Carr was a far more likable character in TLW and he was torn in half while screaming in agony. I don't get why people are so upset over Zara. She was a throw away character, simply there to be someone that gets killed by the creatures. She had no character arc, no likable attributes. I had no issues with her death, if anything the movie didn't have enough characters die off similarly! It's a movie about rampaging dinosaurs, people are going to die.

To avoid fainting keep repeating...it's only a movie, only a movie, only a movie.

Because feminists (the ones complaining about her death) are whiny crybabies and want every female character to get special treatment.

Guess it wouldnt work to like...look at the bright side and say at least she was able to feed something as her last act......
Authors with varying competence have suggested dinosaurs disappeared because of meteorites...God's will, raids by little green hunters in flying saucers, lack of standing room in Noah's Ark, and palaeoweltschmerz—Glenn Jepsen

Of all the ways that's how I'd best like to go, knowing I'll be helping something rather than being burned to ashes or buried, taking up valuable space or adding to pollution.

I actually enjoyed her death sequence, we got some rather impressive animation.

I wouldn't mind being eaten by an animal, I've certainly eaten enough of them myself. I kind of like the idea of my body being fuel for a bear, shark, mountain lion or other predator. That said, being eaten alive sounds awful. Hopefully it would at least be quick.

Wow, things are getting dark around here now. Happy Halloween everyone!

CityRaptor

Well, her death means that women are no longer safe in the Jurassic Park Movieverse. Before that even Amanda Kirby made it out safe, and that woman ( and her husband ) did some really stupid things.

I also agree about Eddie Carr. He died saving the others.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

But I thought that they were agitating for "equal treatment" and that was the reason for having this pointless, gratuitous scene in the movie.  ;)

True equality can only be archieved if everyone can die, no matter which sex, ethnicity or age they are.

I just feel sorry for her.   Though i will admit that there is one character that im glad was killed off, but the film is so generic i cant remember his name.

I also had big problems with the Teenager, he reminds me of some personal things when i was in High School, and i wished he would have been eaten.

Well, if the character is male, I'm guessing you mean Hoskins, Vincent D'nofrio's character.  The one who thought that he was buddies with a velociraptor because he petted it once.
I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

QuoteIt may have satisfied some hardcore fans, but it didn't satisfy this one.
What were you looking for in a JP sequel that JW didn't deliver? I'm not a hardcore fan, I just guess I don't care enough about the series to get upset about it.

Here are some things that I enjoyed in the original Jurassic Park, that JW didn't deliver in my opinion (they are mostly things I look for in any film, really). Forget Lost World and JP3, they get lumped in the same category as JW.

-Sensible believable plot
-A sense of tension or terror
-Predatory dinosaurs depicted as living creatures (not monsters)
-Inspired directing end editing
-Memorable soundtrack
-Relationships with genuine depth
-Multidimensional interesting characters (including all the dinosaurs)
-Cutting edge special effects
-Easy to follow action

Others may think JW delivered on these, they may even think Jurassic Park didn't, but this is my opinion, not theirs ;)

If more of these boxes were ticked I'd have enjoyed JW more. In any case, the onus isn't on me as a critic to devise a better film, just as food critics don't need to be Michelin star chefs themselves to judge an unpalatable dish, and as music critics don't need to have written a killer riff to decide they dislike a band.

Plasticbeast95

I don't know about you guys, but I personally feel that the JP theme is one of the best songs used in a movie, ever.
