Too bad the Mononykus thing is completely scaly and has a compy head. I would also be lying if I didn't mention that I was disappointed the Apatosaurus still has claws on all its digits too. They really are stuck in the 80's/90's. Oh well, at least it looks consistent with the one in the first JW film design wise.

The first image is just the (awful) Gallimimus from JW.

They better return all the dinosaurs back to their proper versions instead of the disgusting JW grey blobs.

Jose S.M.

I really wish they improve the cgi in this but I doubt it.

There really would be no reason not to feather an Alvarezasaurid. They've never been in the franchise so you can't use continuity as an excuse. They aren't a predator so no one can use the "feathers aren't scary" argument. It's strange that they would even feature the dinosaur to begin with to be honest. We'll finally have an Alvarezasaurid toy I suppose. Not the one we want mind you.

Most certainly! Didn't even know it existed.

Appalachiosaurus

Man, the dinosaurs seem to get more inaccurate with each movie. First the beakless Stegosaurus, and now the Apatosaurus. While you could never really get a good look, the JW Apatosaurus had no toe claws.

Honestly the more I learn about these creatures, the harder it is for me to find enjoyment in this franchise, or hope it can be better, when the creatures don't look the way the creatures are supposed too. Is it just too hard for them to do some simple research prior? I am having the same conflicting thoughts about certain figures from certain companies as well. I want to like them, but this stuff bothers me enough that it is hard for me to. It's one thing when it was made in the early 90's, but it is another thing entirely when it is done in 2015 or later.

Youve got to remember they're selling a brand, not science. Despite minute changes, the Jurassic Park designs are still recognizably iconic. I always think of it like an animated series, the style of the show is what makes it unique, not necessarily good, but unique.

Very good points. I could try to justify their designs as fantasy creatures (and that does work for the raptors and spitters), but I still wish I could see these animals depicted properly on the big screen some day, although it's increasingly obvious this franchise is probably the last place to have that happen, which is sad in a way, as it was probably the first (non animated) film that revolutionized dinosaurs as no longer being slow, tail dragging animals. I guess I'll just have to keep waiting for something else to take that up.

@Faelrin, yeah you're right about that. Going to these movies expecting to see accurate dinosaurs, is like going to see Star Wars and expecting space to be portrayed accurately.
This

is really no better than this

The version shared on the Jurassic Outpost page is the official version posted on Colin Trevorrow's twitter (and straight to the point, not a dragged out timewaster): https://twitter.com/colintrevorrow/status/933364285446729733/video/1

Anyways, regardless if that's a baby Blue or not, that's a cute baby raptor. If that is Blue, then that would make for the first flashback sequence in the films (assuming this scene is in the film). If that isn't baby Blue, then things are going to be getting interesting (because this implies there were wild raptors on Isla Nublar, which seems to contradict Masrani not wanting raptors loose in JW, unless they were contained somehow). Can't wait to see or find out what the deal is regardless.

Edit: Been seeing mentions of the possibility of parthenogenesis too. Hmm, this could get interesting, assuming this scene is in the film.

Sorry for not sharing the link everyone, I was tired, and didn't bother sharing the link. I dont want to seem like I was posting fake news.

Faelrin

Glad to see the rumors about this one being in the film are essentially confirmed now, especially since the JW site has listed it, but it was a no show in the film. I just hope the rumors about the Carnotaurus are true too.

Still nothing new on the Indoraptor, other then it possibly being in this new book thing. I think that image they keep posting as the "Indoraptor" is just the Indominus maquette in shadow. I'll stand by that, until something official proves otherwise.
