I haven't cried at a movie since Happy Feet, and that was because I was eight years old and the bright screen hurt my eyes. Avoiding spoilers here, I will say that nearly every fear (and every major one) of what I felt could go wrong with the movie didn't go wrong. When I was little Jurassic park was my first movie, I was far to young to have seen it in theaters, but I was watching it on VCR tape since long before I could read. I still remember wanting to see JP/// when it hit theaters but being to young. I only read the books a few years ago, but they really stuck with me, The Lost World in particular, since animal rights have always been something I felt was important. This wasn't just the movie that I waited the vast majority of my life for, this was the movie that really did the concepts from the books that were missing from the other films justice. I give it a 9.9/10.

I'm going next week so that I can see it w/my family. Also, I'm gonna do "The Jurassic World Challenge" ( http://chasmosaurs.blogspot.com/2015/06/the-jurassic-world-challenge.html )? Are you?

Getting worried, I have read many reviews from the "classic" movie critics, and they are very negative.

Who are these "classic" critics?  Only critics I would consider classics are both dead, God rest them.

Just got back from a showing. Somehow, it was even cheesier than I expected. Still, I guess it was cool to spot some of the models they bought from me, and I'm pretty sure I spotted some Papo Rexes.

When it comes out on video, you should make a Yutube video pointing out everything you sold them.

I seen some Favorite Skeletons in there. Were those from you?

Other than one or two trailers, I've been actively avoiding JW discussions because of spoilers and such. I'm glad to hear that it is getting solid reviews.

I do have one question:

Other than T-rex, Velociraptors and I-rex, how anatomically accurate are most of the dinosaurs depicted in this movie? how about compared to the last three films?

Thanks in advance. Also, I apologize if this topic has been covered before.

Have you guys checked out the updated website? It's awesome! The park cams have gone bit crazy!

Going to go see it tonight. It's funny, the reviews here are about as polarized as they are elsewhere. People seem to either really like it or not. The reviewers I like are on YouTube....Jeremy Jahns, Chris Stuckman, and the Schmoesknow. One really liked it while another just thought it was "ok" none of these guys are the hard core Dino fans, like we are, that want to learn about these amazing animals for real. They are more of the Jurassic Park generation that just got the wonder of that movie and never went beyond that. So they are accepting of the ideas that are put forth by the JP movies. I guess I'll find out for myself tonight. ;)

Some of this should be in the spoiler thread, so I'm copying it there and deleting it from here. You may be unintentionally giving away what dinosaurs appear in the film.

Our critic in our local rag gave it only 2 out of 5 stars and called it a mess. I rarely listen to critics most of the movies they pan I love and the stuff they love I can't stand, I'm looking at you "Down and out in Beverly Hills" what a piece of you know what and the critics loved it.

Glad to read Star loved it, that gives me hope.
