All that avatar_Loon @Loon needs is a Dennis Nedry in the same wave and a full on vomit will commence!
I'd ascend like the Virgin Mary if that happened. But, I'd come back down because Heaven is very poor at restocking figures.

I'll legit buy 3 of the Brachiosaurus, that's a dream toy. I saw the pic for the first time, and, since I just ate, I almost threw up.
1) A vomit inducing Brachiosaur sounds more like a nightmare than a dream
2) ...That doesn't even sound like a compliment  :)) "I threw up when I saw it!"

Maybe it will be a spitter Brachiosaurus with its action feature launching slime.

Dilopho

No, you press a button and it actually ignites into real flames and burns down in front of you.  ;)

It really is disappointing to see the mislabeled Pachyrhinosaurus, because it means we might not see an actual Sinoceratops figure. I would have bought a Sinoceratops mislabeled as a Pachyrhinosaurus, but not vice versa. I own the dino-damage Pachyrhino already, which satisfies my JP Pachyrhino itch.

Still, with the sculpt being finalized, I think Mattel made a bad decision to force the toy as a Sinoceratops. Kids and collectors would have been happy with a Pachyrhinosaurus too despite it not being the dino on screen, and plenty would have also bought an actual Sinoceratops sculpt from a later wave to go with it. Does Mattel figure that all kids are too dumb to know the difference between these animals? I shake my head at whoever at the company made this decision.

It is clear Mattel wants the line to keep going and cares about the dinosaurs they create, so maybe they'll do something to correct it in the future. Sinoceratops was in such a cool scene!

Shadowknight1

I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

Flaffy

My excitement has unfortunately been replaced with disappointment as it seems they're trying to force label Pachyrhinosaurus as Sinoceratops....

This just means it's unlikely we're ever going to get an actual Sinoceratops toy  :'(.

hmmm....I guess drill some holes into it and epoxy the rest of it.  ;)

I wonder what the Amargasaurus will look like.

If it looks half as good as the PNSO version, I would be quite content. Nice to see two sauropods in the line. That's a great sign. Did they reveal the remaining species? Is there hope for a EC Indo Rex?

How would you guys react if it's action feature was to die?  >:D

Also, I will prolly pass on the brachiosaurus. I honestly have nowhere to put such a huge figure. The Sinoceratops is also a major disappointment. A retool COULD have been done. Hoping for one in the near future.

Flaffy

Still no Wave 2 over here at Hong Kong  :'(

Still haven't seen the Legacy Humans (somehow the toy shops got the Legacy dinos but not humans), the attack pack figure sets and the Mosasaurus from Wave 1 either.

It will probably come in parts (like the Mosa) so that you can dismantle it at will. That should save you storage.

Dilopho

I can't imagine the Brachiosaurus or Amargasaurus having much articulation at all.

CityRaptor

The Amarga will probably have similar articulation to other Mattel JW Dinosaurs in that size class. The brachio probably more like the Colosal T.rex or Mosasaurus.

Oh, and the display got updated:
http://news.toyark.com/2018/07/21/sdcc-2018-gallery-mattel-jurassic-park-collector-figure-update-ian-malcolm-revealed-311249

Life has found a way!
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Dilopho

Mattel's JW team posted stuff on Instagram. I can't get a screenshot but here's an interesting comment:

codysseusprime
@mattel_jurassic So I know we got 16 new species coming next year.... but can we expect any repaints/retools of currently released species? *cough* green Bull Thrash and Throw T-Rex *cough* 😉 Keep up the fantastic work! ❤️🦖🦕

mattel_jurassic
@codysseusprime I think you'll be pleased with what we have in store for 2019!

Also:

mattel_jurassic
@nathanial91 There are limitless opportunities for 6" scale. If anyone else is hoping for a T.rex in this scale, please let us know!

Shadowknight1

I'm excited for REBOR's Acro!  Can't ya tell?

Faelrin

Hmm interesting. I really hope they make a green rex. I don't care if it's a repaint of one of the existing one's or something new. It would be great to have it. Interesting that they mention the possibility of a 6 inch scale rex, because they confirmed in another comment that the Super Colossal is close to scale with these new 6 inch figures: https://www.instagram.com/p/BleqRe_gljE/?taken-by=mattel_jurassic

Quotemattel_jurassic@musashi31682 it's actually pretty close to being in scale with the Super Colossal, even though that is technically a stand-alone item! Great to hear you love the larger scale dinos.

Unless they intend to do one with more articulation down the road, which would be amazing. Honestly I'd like to see them do a Dilophosaurus in that scale as well (although it's possible the legacy collection one might size up fine to be the small one in the first film with these figures).

There's also more information in the comments here (a freaking gold mine of info in those instagram comments really): https://www.instagram.com/p/BlgyGuIgAIh/?taken-by=mattel_jurassic

Such as the Franklin figure is a 2019 release and Zia is fall 2018:

Quotemattel_jurassic@august_midnite Zia is part of the fall 2018 line, and we are currently planning for Franklin to join the human assortment in 2019. 🙌🏼

The Plesiosaurus was hinted at being a 2019 release as well in the comments too:

Quotespideysaurusrex What about the plesiosaur? Is it still coming out?

mattel_jurassic @spideysaurusrex We've got 16 new species planned for 2019. That's all we'll say for now! 😉

Parasaurolophus too:

Quotethicc_dino Will we ever get a parasaurolophus

mattel_jurassic@thicc_dino With 16 new species coming your way in 2019, the possibilities are endless. 😉

The Lockwood Battle Damage set is probably an (extremely) limited release (maybe that's what was given out at CC)? There's a pic of it here (in package, which also mentions that the only toy not going to be released is the Destructasaur T. rex in the info posted with it. Edit: JPToys has an image of this set, and claims it is a limited release.):

Quote12thfanande Thanks so much for having this panel! Love hearing about how the line was created. Can you confirm that the Lockwood Battle set is cancelled?

mattel_jurassic @12thfanande Not cancelled, but will potentially be offered in extremely limited quantities. More info to come!

Indominus rex teased in the comments here (not confirmed, but possible): https://www.instagram.com/p/BleqRe_gljE/?taken-by=mattel_jurassic

Quotemistavp Thanks for creating the best Jurassic figures and vehicles EVER. Are there any plans for the Indominus Rex? I've heard many rumors but none confirmed.

mattel_jurassic @mistavp We're going to be sneaking some of the exciting things to come, but still holding back a few surprises! That's all we'll say for now. 😉

I'm so glad it seems like they've been listening to fan's desires (and dreams), especially if that Brachiosaurus is anything to go by. Here's to hoping we will be getting a green Bull/Buck T. rex, an I. rex, a Parasaurolophus, and more down the line (an iconic explorer for the 1/18th line perhaps?). It would be absolutely amazing to pull off a near complete species collection (with film accurate sculpts) from them. We are already pretty close to achieving this with 2018's lineup.

Halichoeres

I might be the only one, but the figure I'm most excited about right now is Coelurus because 1) it was in the book but not the movies, as far as I know and 2) the only other Coelurus I know of is this:

In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

My attempt to find the best toy of every species

My trade/sale/wishlist thread

Faelrin

avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres It's listed on the DPG dino list too:

But dang though, nearly all of those species (not in the films) will have toys now too, such as the Herrerasaurus, Metriacanthosaurus, Microceratus (in the Destructasaur sets), give or take Proceratosaurus (not seen on that list, but had embryos in the first film), Suchomimus, Styracosaurus, and the Coelurus.

Honestly I'm really looking forward to all of these new species toys.

Smilodon P.

If some of you were bothered by the "Sinoceratops" label on the Pachyrinosaurus, I began to be concerned about the Dino-Riders license since I saw the JW Mosasaurus in the Aquaman movie trailer.  :P
