avatar_Duna @Duna I hope that this is the case and that Papo's spinosaurus is even higher in quality compared to its prototype than its pentaceratops, gorgosaurus and repainted stegosaurus counterparts. It is my figure of the year. I dream of picking it up. :)

Shonisaurus

I just bought my last three Collecta 2019 figures yesterday. My impressions are as follows.
I'm going to start with the most valuable figure for me, the Collecta elasmotherium 2019 is beautifully sculpted. His huge horn impresses like that of a scimitar, its legs and hooves are sculpted in detail and the hair really seems to be without a doubt the figure of greatest weight in the group, apart from weighing a fifth, it is a very heavy figure. The tail is made of plastic more flexible than the rest of the body and the figure is very well done. What I miss is that the hair is poorly detailed, has impressionistic details if you see it in the distance it seems that it has the detailed hair of the tail but if you look closely you see that it is not finished, that is, the details are not appreciated to the millimeter if you approach in relation to the hair of the prehistoric mammal's tail, but without a doubt it is a leading figure in this year 2019 in production of prehistoric animals in this case.
The ears and the head are very well sculpted and in the horn (immense like a scimitar) it looks very realistic with damage to its horn as if it had fought, it is definitely very realistic.
His hair is very well done is a mixture of yellow and brown colors and gives a pretty good thickness image.
The ears are beautifully sculpted with hairs on the ears which gives the figure an image of beautiful realism. His eyes are very well painted with jet black that shine if the artificial light comes on. The nose and mouth of the elasmotherium is 100% scientific and the details of the nostrils give a very realistic image to the animal.

The legs look like rigid columns and their hooves are detailed in relation to their helmets.
A figure 10 on 10 the only thing I see bad about this elasmotherium is that it is a very rigid figure, it must be safeguarded in a showcase, it is a collectible figure. If you have the misfortune that you fall, be sure that the legs, horns or ears will break when hit with a floor without carpet and in the best case will suffer irreversible abrasions. He is a collector's figure and everyone who has children would advise him for the sake of the child who does not have it at hand. It is a very heavy figure and with that horn a lot of damage could be done as well as suspsy relates. It is a collectible figure and not a mere toy despite the material used is very rigid plastic. I would have preferred an elasmotherium with a softer plastic like its also excellent megacerops or the kelenken.
If someone from Collecta reads my comments to me, my wish is that they make figures with a less rigid plastic even though they seem to be more toy figure due to their malleable material. I comment on aspects of conservation of the figure and especially for children to be safe.

The baryonyx of Collecta is the second figure in terms of artistic value and collecting. It is made of a softer plastic. Unfortunately, it is a much smaller figure than he would have liked and his articulated mouth makes him look like a ventriloquist figure, sincerely he would have preferred it to have been the same size as the carnotaurus of the same brand and without an articulated jaw would have gained in quality said figure.
As positive aspects is that it is an elegantly painted figure with a reddish brown / beige and with brown spots that give it a lot of realism and that reflect a credible camouflage for a theropod, although we do not know how it would really be. His teeth are beautifully sculpted individually and the inside of the mouth included detailed tongue, but that if the tongue stuck to the palate.
It is painted its jet black eyes and around the pupils are surrounded by soft yellow colors that give a pleasant appearance.
The loin is beautifully sculpted and sincerely those thorns give it a fabulous appearance and lush beauty.
Its claws are small and here I see a defect I would like the large claw of its front legs to be more detailed. They are very thin claws and the hands of the claws are quite well detailed.
Its hind legs are beautiful with the four fingers of the legs scientifically well made and with a characteristic base with leaves of the brand's Mesozoic trees and with beautiful details on its fixed ground base, painted this base by artists such as Martin Garratt or a member of DTF would give an outstanding image to this figure and I understand that for economic reasons the Collecta brand desists to paint said base.
The baryonyx belly is very realistic and detailed with scales like crocodiles and a very light beige color. It has a sewage hole that is an artistic license to which I am accustomed by the Collecta brand and I sincerely understand that it would be better with the more realistic and closed sewer or rather in a more relaxed state, but it is typical of all its theropods .
On the other hand you can see precious details of plaques, nerves and muscles throughout the entire body. Nasal and auditory holes very well sculpted max I say it because of the difficulty that this entails for a normal medium-sized figure by Collecta such as baryonyx. I would have preferred a larger size.
My note is 9 out of 10. My recommendation to Collecta is to make theropods of the Deluxe size larger than this scaleless and articulated jaw figure, it is even better that the jaw be closed as other toy dinosaur brands are doing, and I would need if the mouth had lips, it would win the figure.

Finally, the weakest figure in the group and perhaps this year by Collecta is the fukuiraptor. Obviously being a standard size is a small figure although its colors are quite acceptable and attractive green with brown stripes could have painted it with the same details as Collecta baryonyx or carnotaurus of the same brand although obviously the price would vary in much more cost .
Their teeth are poorly detailed and are all uniform, however the tongue is perfectly sculpted and the same goes for the rest of the mouth. Easily localizable nostrils and the same can be said of the ears.
The muscles of this icon of Japanese theropods look very detailed and the same can be said of their loin plates. The nails of the claws of the back and front legs are white with ivory tones and less detailed than those of the baryonyx and carnotaurus, they look that yes to the millimeter the details of the skin beautifully sculpted and meticulously detailed.
His very detailed gut with scales and honestly is a very dynamic and well-made figure but yes, I have to recognize that the fukuiraptor of Favorite is superior to that of Collecta, in relation to the baryonyx of Collecta is on par with that of Favorite, The points in favor of Collecta's figures are that they have a fixed base.
On the other hand you can see some bumps on the eyes quite scientific. The exceptional base with the same characteristics as the rest of Collecta's theropod bases.
My grade is 7 out of 10 and it is perhaps Collecta's least accomplished figure this year, however, it is notable and one cannot complain.

In general terms, it has been an outstanding year for Collecta, but it knows little about the shortage of figures (there have been seven figures) and because they have not done a sauropod with an acceptable size for years, nor the desired giganotosaurus (Collecta is one of the few brands that no giganotosaurus figure has in its cast) but we know that Collecta's team notified us of the reasons and I understand it.
I hope you enjoyed my analysis I pass the comments in your personal email to those

A very detailed analysis. You and I have somewhat different tastes, but I'm glad you're so pleased with your new acquisitions!

I just received the new Papo spinosaurus limited version of Papo from urzeitshop.de and everythingdinosaur respectively and the new atlasaurus and deinotherium from Eofauna.

My opinion of the new figures are as follows.

I have never seen three figures together so well done. As I promised to forum members, I comment on the three figures. All three are equally bright and good.

Papo spinosaurus limited version of 2019, is a work of art, an exceptional museum collector's piece and of which I was unfairly very critical in the DTF. Sincerely you have to see the figure physically.

The texture of the figure is soft, its crests, candle membranes, muscles, veins, scales and tail membranes are all sculpted in detail everything is great.

The head of the spinosaurus is prettier than I thought it is a matriculation of honor, its teeth are quite realistic sculpturally differentiated and most importantly with a yellowish touch like the real teeth of an animal that give it a lot of realism. Its tongue is beautifully detailed and sculpted with tiny details on the tongue as on the palate. His articulated jaw is stable and does not move unless a very sharp movement is made. It has beautifully detailed nostrils but a detail that I have observed is missing.

The crest on the snout is superb and is beautifully made as the much more detailed crest of the neck that gives it the appearance of a semi-aquatic animal (as it is according to recent scientific discoveries). The dark brown around the eyes in contrast to a lighter brown or beige gives the dinosaur a fierce appearance. His pupils and iris of the eyes are beautifully centered on both figures. The muscles of the face and the details of the ingrown skull bones are amazing.
The crest of the neck is very good, the only thing that I put of defect are the seams of end of the head behind the jaw, of the tail and of the legs that are obviously logical considering that to make in this case Papo a dinosaur of Such size and quality has been done by assembling parts of the body but sincerely I have to look hard to realize.

The plates surrounding the spinosaurus candle are thoroughly detailed on the other hand under the candle you can see fine details of white paint that give a great and unique look to this figure of Papo.

The membranes of the candle are differentiated and are painted dark brown, orange and dark beige respectively and give the dinosaur a truly striking appearance. On the other hand the orange colors of the candle and the crest on the head and neck (upper part) eliminate the monotony of the beautifully achieved painting, on the other hand the details of muscles, correctly painted claws (the upper claw of the front legs the largest very detailed), the scales on the part that surrounds the spine of the spinosaurus its flaky skin that ends up like a crocodile skin on the lower part of the belly give it a superb appearance, the belly muscles like all figures of Papo or at least the vast majority is beautifully detailed, the veins are noticeable.

The membranes of the claw fingers are prominent both in the front and in the back where the spinosaurus is sculpted on the other hand even on the lower legs the scales of the soles of the feet are detailed to the millimeter.
The tail has a beautifully sculpted angila type membranes and the details of the tail and the pose of the dinosaur with such a dynamic appearance make it advisable to purchase this figure that sincerely for me far exceeds its pentaceratops so applauded by all of us who are members of DTF.

The next figure I analyze is Eofauna's deinotherium, a dynamic figure that no one could imagine as much as Collecta's deinotherium, although this figure is better sculpted in such a way that it far exceeds the rest of PVC deinotherium from my point of view.

Very detailed figure, its pachyderm skin is very realistic and it is as beautiful as the original prototype, it is better to have it physically than to watch videos or photographs of the forum or You tube to give two examples.

The detail of the skin with the wrinkles and muscles in the lower right leg I highlight it a lot and positively, perhaps the lower teeth are a bit long but give it a much more elegant and majestic appearance, the tube and its olfactory organs are beautifully finished and I can say the same about his ears.

On the other hand the eyes are very realistic as it appears in its prototype with the pupils well centered and I also highlight the dynamic posture that the figure adopts.

The hairs of the tail are of a surprising realism and the skin of this prehistoric elephant is at a detailed millimeter even its genitals are beautifully sculpted and realistic, they have strived to make Eofauna part to the smallest detail. I also highlight the mouth inside whose tiny teeth can be seen sculpted on the palate which is a work of craftsmanship and masterpiece.

Regarding the atlasaurus, it looks better physically than in photographs its blue neck is much better with that yellow tone gives an outstanding distinction to this rare sauropod, the green color of the rest of the body is not strident and the detail is totally elegant Yellow paint on the snout gives an imposing and realistic appearance on the other hand as curiosity looks at his smiling mouth. It is the first dinosaur that smiles.

The olfactory and auditory organs and their mouth with lips give this Moroccan sauropod a hundred percent scientific aspect.

The body has tiny plaques, wrinkles, muscles, veins that make this figure a unique figure from the point of view of collecting sauropods. I have never seen such a detailed sauropod.

The nails of the front legs are correctly sculpted only the lateral nail is observed which makes this figure more scientific and proper for the consumption of an adult audience a child would destroy such beauty comparable to a resin figure.

Another aspect to be detailed are the muscles of the hind legs and hind nails, even the soles of the feet are detailed details. On the other hand, the sewer opening is realistic and from that detail marks like Collecta have to take notes and I say it with all the respect in the world.

The figure is very dynamic and the texture of the atlasaurus like that of the deinotherium is full of details very softly and sincerely summarizing the three figures the Papo spinosaurus and the Eofauna atlasaurus and deinotherium are worthy of an adult collector rather than a child. They are the three collectible figures that I highly recommend.

On the other hand, if someone is interested in what is written in my language, do not hesitate to contact me. As I promised, I made the pertinent comments on this figure, given the impossibility of having a modern telephone because of my economic situation, I have tried to literately illustrate my impression of my new acquisitions. Later when I finish my studies or have more time I will make more assessments of other figures in my collection of dinosaurs and prehistoric toy animals that I will do as I promised to forum members like UK, but what is said is best to have these figures in your house if you can afford to buy them and sincerely to that person who is a consecrated collector I recommend these three figures that perhaps will be the last ones that I bought for my collection because maybe I will retire from the prehistoric dinosaur and animal collection for a long time.

Killekor

Thanks for your review of the Papo Spinosaurus and of the new Eofauna models, Shonisaurus! I was particularly curious to hear your thoughts on the former figure.

I'm happy to hear that the Papo Spinosaurus looks better in hand than in the photos. The more I hear and see of this epic figure the more my expectations on it are high.

Congratulations for your new acquisitions! I understand your decision of stopping collecting for some time, and I wish that you'll soon be in a good condition to start collecting again.

Bigger than a camarasaurus,
and with a bite more stronger that the T-Rex bite,
Ticamasaurus is certainly the king of the Jurassic period.

With Balaur feet, dromaeosaurus bite, microraptor wings, and a terrible poison, the Deinoraptor Dromaeonychus is a lethal enemy for the most ferocious hybrid too.

I am happy to read of your pleasure in these new acquisitions.  I like the way you examine your models in such detail.

Nimravus

Shoni, thanks for your detailed description of each one of these pieces. For those who speak Spanish, we fully understand your language, but in any case, you are describing everything so well that we understand what you are meaning!
I got the three figurines from Urzeitshop and they are wonderful! I need to take some pictures of them, and then I will post them in my thread.

avatar_ceratopsian @ceratopsian avatar_Nimravus @Nimravus I'm glad you liked my little comment about Papo spinosaurus and Eofauna atlasaurus and deinotherium. Honestly, not even the best photographs, opinion pieces, comments (like mine) and videos can match in real genius the real images in this case of both companies. I encourage every collector who likes those figures and can afford that little whim that buys those figures do not waste this golden opportunity. Thanks for your comments.  ^-^

Duna

Thank you Shonisaurus for your detailed review, although I'm Spanish I understand you fully thanks to your perfect description of the figures.
I'm very glad the Papo spinosaurus is the masterpiece we all were expecting (I should receive mine this week from ED), I assume my fault for critising it before having in my hands, because I had my expectation so high about it and was disappointed by the differences in the painting of the prototype. So I'm now excited to have a look at it.
Agree that both Eofauna's models are collection figures that may do not tolerate children hard playing, paint is very delicate and even mine have some spots missing.

Shonisaurus

avatar_Duna @Duna Honestly, the spinosaurus is much better than what is shown in the photos is a figure of honor. The only defect is some sewing on the spinosaurus but it is well detailed and well sculpted. I was also very unfair with the criticisms I made in his day with this maximum figure when I have it as a picture of my profile. I will continue to keep this profile picture because every day that passes I like that spinosaurus limited version of Papo 2019. You will get a very pleasant surprise when you receive this outstanding figure.

On the other hand, Eofauna dinosaurs (atlasaurus and deinotherium) are very precise figures scientifically and have absolutely no seams, they are very well worked and their finish is exceptional, as you say it is for adult collector.

On the other hand from December 18 to January 1 of next year I will be on Christmas holidays (I am going to a town outside my province) so I will not be present at the DTF, in advance I congratulate all the members of DTF! Merry Christmas! and Happy New Year 2020!  :D

Ah, avatar_Shonisaurus @Shonisaurus, becoming a camera techy might be an opportunity for a New Year's resolution. You would have plenty of material to work with and share.

Bokisaurus

Nice write up of your newest addition.
I find it interesting reading your description without photos.
It really helps my own imagination on how each one looks😃
