ceratopsian

That thought crossed my mind too!

I'm a little worried that I'll like this version better than the KS version I already ordered.

Images of the brown Prehistoric Beast juvenile Centrosaurus/Monoclonius have been posted now:

While I'm perfectly satisfied with my blue Monoclonius... Damn that thing is tempting. Really tempted to jump the gun and give my Monoclonius a companion.

Halichoeres

Agreed, that is tempting. But I think I too will stick with the blue Kickstarter version.

Tempting but I don't have space for two different colour versions!

Pretty big update with paint sample galleries for all of the Wave 1 figures:

Also worth mentioning that things are slightly behind schedule so the new shipping date may be October instead. There's also information provided about shipping rates if folks choose to have their orders split/shipped out by each wave, versus altogether at once.

Anyways here's some examples:

Shonisaurus

My favorites, that is, the ones I would like to order are the chasmosaurus, monoclonius, zuniceratops, medusaceratops and protoceratops. The rest would have to wait. They all look magnificent. This fantastic, modern and avant-garde interpretation regarding the painting of these ceraptosids and their beautiful sculpture makes these figures irresistible for the collector like me.

Flaffy

Hm, the Psittacosaurus seems to have an erroneously painted 4th finger. That digit did not possess a claw, yet a claw is included on the paint sample.

This wasn't an issue on the painted resin prototype, hopefully David can correct this.

Sarapaurolophus

Chasmosaurus is my favorite from this wave. The stark color contrast simply looks amazing and I'll have a hard time resisting that one.

suspsy

I can't wait to read some reviews of these toys. I didn't order any of the first wave; I'm waiting for the Spiclypeus.

So what's the word on when our orders should start shipping?

Still this month for Zuniceratops?

The last update said there's been a minor delay and it is looking like they'll be shipping in October now instead.

I could just keep my Mouth shut, because it is not important at all and just a personal Opinion, but after seeing the Pics from the Paintjobs, i have to say i am happy, not to preorder one of these. The Figures are done absolutely masterfully and the whole Process must have been a pain in the A. But the Colouration makes them look cheap and toyish. Thats nothing i felt with the Raptors. But these Ceratoptians look far away from a living Animal. I normally like both, more earthy tones and sometimes flashy vibrant colours, but this... I Don't know if it is the way of painting, the Colours, the overall Paintdesign or Everything.

I am looking forward to the Reviews and Pictures of them and hope, everyone will be Happy in the End :) Just my 2 Cents, since thats what we do here. Sometimes. Opinions and Stuff. Have great Sunday Everyone.

Oh, sry for my use of so many capital Letters. German.

indohyus

look forward to getting my monoclonius. Hoping to be the one to review it.

Ostafrikasaurus

I'm really excited for the Triceratops, Nasutoceratops, Sinoceratops, Torosaurus, and the Styracosaurus most of all. There's just something about the latter's reddish-orange mixed with teal-green that is so aesthetically pleasing to me!

Shonisaurus

They are all fabulous for their good painting, but without a doubt the favorite of that group for me is the chasmosaurus, it has a I don't know what that attracts me a lot, perhaps because it is one of my favorite ceraptosides.

Faelrin

I was just thinking about this recently, but I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet.

There's been another minor delay in production, because the packaging design wasn't up to David's expectations (pretty flimsy and damaged easily type of material). It's looking like fulfillment of figures could start by late October at the earliest, if not early November. Granted I appreciate this move as it would result in better quality products.

New kickstarter update posted with the new looks at the updated packaging (for each of the Wave 1 figures of course), and a quick update about Wave 2 beginning production soon. Also information about the costs of split shipping, and when these should start shipping out for folks (hopefully).

Here's a look at the Triceratops packaging.

I gotta say how much I love these background inserts and the environmental variety there is. I think these are some of the first real good looks at them maybe? I may have to swap out some of the raptor series ones for these when they arrive. The collectible card is a nice addition as well.

I'm now beginning to worry where I'm going to put them!  They do look excellent though.
