I really love a lot of these. Too bad cryolopho came out so Chap Mei-sh. Tarbo looks a bit better than in the first earlier pic but its still too cartoony.

Has anyone seen the Snap Squad figures in stores? I want the carnotaurus but haven't seen them anywhere yet.

Primeval12

THe only must have for me is that edmontosaurus. I definitely want the sauropelta too.

suspsy

The Edmontosaurus is definitely the shining star out of this latest lot. The Cryolophosaurus, Postosuchus, and Sauropelta aren't great, but it's still good to see more variety in the line. The Sarcosuchus is laughably misproportioned, but it's still better than the ones from CollectA and Mojo Fun.

Be good to get official confirmation on just what those three new smaller figures are.

I almost, but do not quite, actually want to buy that Edmontosaurus.

Lol, same.  :))

I cross my fingers to be a segisaurus, because the first image that came to my mind was the strange troodon from the live  action show :

Yikes, not even a hyper-extendible claw? Can't even live up to the accuracy of a 1980s Troodon...

PhilSauria

I'd also like to have that Edmontosaurus, but given the distribution history (ie - lack of) in regard to subsequent new releases making their way over here then I am not holding my breath!

You put the blind bag assortment image on the main page twice, suspsy.

I'm having similar thoughts. It's a nice rendition, probably the most technically accurate Edmontosaurus figure there is (maybe tied with the minuscule Safari Sue Anatotitan). But to the extent my collection has a coherent aesthetic, the Safari Edmonto fits it a little better.

I'm in for the Callovosaurus and Segisaurus, though, if that's what those actually are. And possibly that mystery theropod that is absolutely no way an Ornitholestes.
In the kingdom of the blind, better take public transit. Well, in the kingdom of the sighted, too, really--almost everyone is a terrible driver.

Should I be surprised no one has been able to recognize what that mystery Battle Damage creature is yet? Man they must have picked something really niche, or botched whatever it was supposed to be.

I'm definitely getting the Edmontosaurus. Finally one of the last viral website species (and DPG) that have yet to be made by Mattel, and it'll certainly make a nice companion for the Parasaurolophus, and certainly one I wanted the most that were left, other then Segisaurus (which I'm hoping the brown theropod is). I just hope they will make Corythosaurus (and Apatosaurus) down the road some day too. I really do want to be able to finish the collection of film species off, give or take some variations that have yet to be made (I know, I know, technically it can't be finished off without a Mamenchisaurus, but doubtful, since it probably lacks the demand the Brachiosaurus and Apatosaurus have).

Fixed it, thanks.

Still a number of reveals yet to come. We still have yet to see the three remaining big theropods, the ceratopsian, and the parareptile.

Sure would be nice if Mattel made another stegosaur. There's plenty of small ones that could work well at the Savage Strike size.

Gimme a Savage Strike Gigantspinosaurus, Mattel. Gimme, gimme, gimme!

CityRaptor

That one would probably confuse people a lot.

That for sure. While old Stegosaurus is often thought of as the classical Stegosaur, it is actually the most atypical one of them and far bigger than most others. Most likely would be one that was either in Jurassic World Evolution or Alive. Which means one of these:

Yeah, it was supposed to be looking friendlier than the Raptors...not it looks like an overgrown Compy.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Gothmog the Baryonyx

I don't normally collect Mattel/JW/JP figures at all, but I really want that Edmontosaurus, since no one else has made a nice large Edmontosaurus with crest yet. (Unless Safari or CollectA do it before this is released). I know JW figures are usually far too big for me, but anyone know how big the Edmontosaurus is likely to be?
Megalosaurus, Iguanodon, Archaeopteryx, Cetiosaurus, Compsognathus, Hadrosaurus, Brontosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Albertosaurus, Herrerasaurus, Stenonychosaurus, Deinonychus, Maiasaura, Carnotaurus, Baryonyx, Argentinosaurus, Sinosauropteryx, Microraptor, Citipati, Mei, Tianyulong, Kulindadromeus, Zhenyuanlong, Yutyrannus, Borealopelta, Caihong

so the Safari ltd edmontosaurus is no longer accurate b/c it lacks a crest? Too bad, its such a nice figure with a pose that works well paired with another figure. I guess it could stand in for a hadrosaurus?

The safari figure represents E.regelis,  the Edmontosaurus species known to have had a crest.

So yes,  its no longer acurate because of that.

As far as i know. E.annectons does not have a crest.  Or at least not from the current specimens we have of it.

Dilopho

Oh, wow!! They actually all look appealing to me this time.
Idk if I'll actually get any..I still haven't picked up any 2019 dinos cos of money issues. But gosh, I love that skinny one in the attack pack. IDK which one it is, I'm tired. Looks coelophysis or syntarsus-esque. Segisaurus maybe?? That's my favourite out of the whole lineup for some reason.

suspsy

If those Attack Pack figures really are Callovosaurus and Segisaurus, then I find them very odd choices. I'm all for diversity and unique species, but there are plenty of dinosaurs which are known from abundant fossil remains and have rarely or never appeared in any toy lines. Whereas Segisaurus is known only from assorted fragments and Callovosaurus is literally just half a leg bone.

Mattel could have easily gone with Coelophysis and Camptosaurus instead.
