I found a list of the rest of the 2020 releases, and let me tell you, the best is yet to come.

Here's what avatar_Halichoeres @Halichoeres is talking about:

Quote from: STS post by user spacelabDinosaurs

  • (already revealed figures omitted)
  • Caviramus 1:2 (with movable jaw)
  • Megalodon 1:60 (with movable jaw)
  • Allosaurus (roaring)
  • Mapusaurus (hunting)
  • Lisowicia Bojani 1:20
  • Diplodocus (grey)

  • Orthoceras
  • Redlichia Rex Trilobite
  • Pleuroceras Ammonite
  • Horseshoe Crab
  • Nautilus Pompilius
  • Belemnite

(sorry for double-posting)

EDIT: The STS user has edited the post containing the list, and the arthropods and cephalopods are now separate from the rest of the figures (I've edited the quote to reflect this). What this means is unclear and it probably isn't much, but I felt I should point it out nonetheless.

I'm going to take this with a grain of salt. Have they ever released this many prehistoric figures? BS i think. Great if it were true though.

Well  ::) Clearly you're not familiar with CollectA... there were some years that they had up to 15 or more new prehistoric figures ;D
If this list is indeed it, impressive, but  also sad there is no prehistoric mammal! What's up with next year, why is no one releasing any prehistoric mammals? ;)

I think the Megalodon is takeing this years Cenozoic Spot, (even though its the most overated Prehistoric Creature out there) ;D.

A Cenozoic beast is a Cenozoic beast. And honestly, I'm perfectly fine with a Megalodon toy (again, assuming that list is legit) because in spite of its immense fame and popularity, there really haven't been that many high quality toys of it made. The blog currently has a grand total of one Megalodon review. Still hoping that someone submits reviews of the PNSO versions.  ;) ;)

Good point about it being Cenozoic animal (so even if it is not a mammal it is still from that era. Which would be no different then if they made a terror bird for example). I didn't even think of that earlier.

Of course that's if this list is legit. I'm hoping it is. So many of those desperately could use a figure or more.

Neosodon

I happy about all the early Cretaceous figures. I collect by time period and early cretaceous is more exotic.

"3,000 km to the south, the massive comet crashes into Earth. The light from the impact fades in silence. Then the shock waves arrive. Next comes the blast front. Finally a rain of molten rock starts to fall out of the darkening sky - this is the end of the age of the dinosaurs. The Comet struck the Gulf of Mexico with the force of 10 billion Hiroshima bombs. And with the catastrophic climate changes that followed 65% of all life died out. It took millions of years for the earth to recover but when it did the giant dinosaurs were gone - never to return." - WWD

Blade-of-the-Moon

I'm good with all these if true.

Could it be the reason for the separation is that there will be an invertebrates toob?

  --------------------

I'm very happy to see another big pterosaur after only one year this time :D . It means they must be selling well.
  A 1:20 Lisowicia? That's going to be a huge figure, too 8) .
These are the two I'm most eagerly interested in.

I doubt it, as in their list, the STS user has a separate category for tubes/boxsets  :)

For anyone wondering, this is the source of the list (Note that the website is in Greek): https://www.collecta.gr/product-tag/2020/

Why a new Mapusaurus? Could be a Giganotosaurus or Tyrannotitan...

I suspect that the Mapusaurus will end up being a standard line version of the Deluxe one they revealed 2 years ago.

Shonisaurus

Collecta could have made the allosaurus and mapusaurus in Deluxe version (large size) in equal size to the Carnotaurus of Collecta 2019 instead of making those two emblematic theropods in standard version. But honestly I am satisfied with what Collecta is revealing and I am very happy with her new figures. I hope it is not one made with a plastic as rigid as the collecta elasmotherium 2019 (magnificent figure for which we are collectors) but unmanageable for children and that entails danger for children.

My desire that the new Collecta figures (dinosaurs and prehistoric animals) prevail the material of figures such as kelenken and malleable plastic megacerops to be hard plastic figures like the neovenator or elasmotherium to give two examples.

Oh boy. Google translate gave some good stuff from that greek CollectA 2020 page (most were able to be made out or surprisingly correct).

1: 2 Caviar with moving jaw

1:60 Grabbing with a moving jaw

Orthodox

Some others:

CollectA Casket with Mini Insects and Spiders (that gives me the strangest mental image)

Slow foot (Big Foot's cousin lol?)

Jose S.M.

If the leaks are true I'm pretty sure that the Mapusaurus will be a smaller version just like the hunting Tyrannosaurus was a small alternative to the first feathered one and like this year's Baryonyx.

Also that translation Faelrin posted makes me think the invertebrates are going to be part of a toob but maybe not, it could be a lots of figures kind of year like 2015

The 'Casket with Mini Insects and Spiders' will most likely be a tube containing retreads of CollectA's insect/arachnid line (solely extant species); looking on the website reveals that the prehistoric and semi-prehistoric invertebrates are listed separately  :)

Another interesting translation Google Translate has come up: 'Swordfish' for 'Horseshoe Crab' (I put the original Greek text into Google and it is definitely referring to the latter); this is likely a result of the order containing horseshoe crabs (Xiphosura) and the genus containing swordfish (Xiphias) being very similarly-named (both are also Greek-derived).

Yeah, that one is definitely the funniest of the lot (apart from the one I posted, of course)  ;D

I passed on the Deluxe Mapusaurus due to its size and price tag, so I'm down with a smaller, cheaper version.

Allosaurus for sure, then in 2021 a normal version. Diplodocus might be Bronto sized.

Personally I´d love for both of them to be in the normal range.

Diplodocus (grey) could also mean that it's just going to be a repaint of their figure from a few years ago :-\ .
