A note to those receiving old Bullyland figures during this time: Do not use sanitizer on them, it dissolves the paint.

I hope you didn't find that out the hard way...

I have noticed thanks to Minizoo. I made an order for dinosaurs that is still to deliver the package and I told them to put disinfectant to prevent it from becoming infected by the virus and he told me if I did that the figures would be damaged. Until less than two months ago, I did not know that the disinfectant if used would irreversibly damage the figures.

how is everyone doing? how's the pandemic situation in your city/country?

Iowas Govener is reopening non esential businesness, including craft stores and resteraunts, as well as hair parlors.

Honestly, I think its too soon to do such a thing.

Australia's had many states report zero new cases, sometimes for days in a row. We've got a plan in place to slowly reopen, subject to change of course. I'm feeling optimistic about our situation, we've ramped up testing and contact tracing and the results so far suggest community transmission has been quite low, which is good for our chances of avoiding/minimising a second wave.

The beginning of the end of the confinement has begun in my city and we are in phase 0.5 now they can open museums, libraries and small shops. I am optimistic about the situation in my nation.

Here in the north of the Netherlands (a rather rural area) it sometimes feels like there never was a pandemic going on at all. Pretty much all stores are open, kids are going to school again, plenty of cars on the roads, lots of people (including elderly people) are outside enjoying the spring weather, and I just go to work as usual. The only person I've seen with a face mask was a doctor, and I don't personally know anyone who got sick. If the radio and television weren't constantly talking about the Coronavirus, maybe I wouldn't even have noticed that much of a difference compared to normal times, except for the few people still trying to do some social distancing. Of course I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, but I'm afraid a second wave will hit super hard here if it comes.

Well, my grandma tested positive for corronavirus, though thankfully only minor symptoms at present.
I am annoyed that despite high death rates, people here are talking about relaxing the lockdown and not only that but politicians have allowed it now. On the plus side I have seen my sister in person for the first time in months. And the good things about parks being open is that supermarkets are less busy now.

@Gothmog the I just read it and it impressed me at first, but if it has minor symptoms, surely and fortunately, and if God wants, your grandmother will be fine. My best wishes, having a grandfather / grandmother is a complete gift of life.

The last week of March (not long before I re-emerged here) I started to come down with a fever and cough which kept me more or less bedridden for the rest of the week. To be honest, those five or so days are a complete blur. I took NyQuil, I drank orange juice, didn't leave the apartment, and I waited it out. Late last week, my blood test results came back positive for SARS-CoV-2 antibodies. I'm honestly not surprised as I live in one of the earliest "hot zones" in America and was commuting by train every day. Still a very surreal feeling.

I suppose now you have a kind of superpower, assuming immunity persists. Sounds like a rough spell, but I'm glad to hear you're on the mend.

some people are going through minor symptoms but test negative, and doctors associate it with mental stress.
please take care everyone.

T @therizinosaurus I want you to recover one hundred percent. At least now you're immune to Covid19

SidB

T @therizinosaurus , kinda shocked to hear that you contracted the virus, but glad that you are on the comeback trail.

ITdactyl

avatar_Gothmog the Baryonyx @Gothmog the Baryonyx , I hope your grandma makes a swift recovery.

T @therizinosaurus , thank you for sharing your story. I hope you make a full recovery soon.

I find myself unnecessarily irritable when it comes to covid news - which is why I tend to crave (for lack of a better word) positive stories from the ordeal.  I already mentioned that I was placed in quarantine because I was a suspected covid case.  I thought that experience was over, but apparently now I have to deal with heat from people who still believe I'm a "carrier".  Add to that, I just found out the cousin I grew up with is now trapped in quarantine in Dubai. He and his friends largely ignored the fuss, partied hard and as expected, contracted covid.

I sincerely hope that no one else in the group would have to deal with Covid, or the plethora of problems that it brings.

Shonisaurus

avatar_ITdactyl @ITdactyl I hope your cousin recovers soon. Hopefully no one else has a problem with the covid-19

avatar_Gothmog the Baryonyx @Gothmog the Baryonyx  I hope your Grandma recovers successfully, same for your cousin avatar_ITdactyl @ITdactyl  and for you T @therizinosaurus I hope you make a full recovery.

As ITdactyl I try to focus on the positive things that we can find about all of this, instead of the bad stories but sometimes is hard, also from what I understand people is giving you a hard time just because you were a suspicious case? That's not right and I'm sorry to hear that!

Bokisaurus

avatar_Gothmog the Baryonyx @Gothmog the Baryonyx hope your grandma recovers quickly. @ITdactyl same with your cousin.
avatar_Therizinosaur @Therizinosaur wow, glad you recovered!

This whole thing is really hard and scary and often frustrating. I didn't really made comments on this thread much if at all mostly because of the emotional toll dealing with it daily is taking on me.
One of my good friend died of the virus while traveling Bangkok in late February before it all exploded. It's sad to die all alone in a foreign country 😢

I'm almost certain I got the virus in mid February just before testing was being done .
For two days I was extremely fatigued, on the third day I had high fever, cough, etc.
It got so bad quickly that on the second day I went to see my doctor since I was worried about the difficulties in breathing.

I was diagnosed with acute pneumonia of unknown origin. Now at that time, there was not testing being done and the few there were were only if you traveled outside the country.
I live in Seattle, the first epicenter of the virus in the US.
I was really sick for almost two weeks, another week to recover.
Thankful I didn't end up in the Hospital. Until I can get a antibodies test, I may never know for sure, but all signs point to it.

Stay safe everyone!
