Mine just arrived tonight. Took a bit longer then I was expecting considering it was coming from only a few hours drive away. For some reason my order was shipped through DHL, and they shipped it to Maryland first, before coming into PA. Then it was brought to my local USPS office, and sat a whole day at the post office yesterday. Not sure if things are just backed up in the area or what.

Anyways I'll get some comparison pics between my boxed WWD T. rex, and the Rebor one, which I think is similarly sized.

I must confess that I am somewhat apprehensive about my package being delivered successfully. I will breathe easier once it is in my walls and in my hands.

I dont have the rebor t rex but i think the botm is smaller. It did scale well with the gr toys carcharodontosaurus

My big boy arrived finally today, which has been a really nice break from a rather hard few weeks

I really wish the rest of the line was done in 1/35 scale, with a only select few popular species being done in 1/18.
Would've been able to acquire way more species from the line if these figures were smaller and thus cheaper.

Faelrin

Yeah after getting this one in hand, I actually would like to see more 1/35 figures down the line. This figure is still actually pretty sizable. Then again both the Safari Ltd Feathered T. rex, and the recent Rebor one also have some shelf presence to them. Aside from the former Kaiyodo T. rex figure, this is one of the only few mass produced/plastic articulated figures at this scale. It's definitely untapped potential. Sauropods would also be much more feasible in this scale then 1:18 for sure.

I'll probably get my comparisons later today or tomorrow even. Not feeling up to it right now. Pretty exhausted from my sleep this morning constantly interrupted by family, the cat, etc.

I would admittedly be much more likely to buy the Terrible Trio at 1/35 scale.

I changed my mind. Watching D @Dino Scream3232 review helped put me in the mood to do it, despite being exhausted still. Comparisons with the near mint boxed WWD T. rex avatar_Duna @Duna helped me get back in 2021, and the @Rebor figure, since it is the only similarly sized T. rex model I have in my collection, not in storage atm.

One thing I was wondering for anyone who gotten there 1/18 t rex is there supposed to be a pop once the tail goes in correctly? On mine the tail is I think all the way but sometimes if I moves it around it will come out does this happen to everyone or is it just I haven't put it in all the way.

another quick note the hood around the neck isn't even noticeable was worried when I saw the first few reviews and pics but it honestly not noticeable

I have the same issue with the tail. I had it soak in close to boiling water for 10 minutes. Then pushed it on. There was no pop, but it stayed in place. However, when swung far to the left or right it keeps popping off the ball joint. The joint near the tip of the tail is working fine.
I just keep it posed straight.

Who's afraid of Red, "Yellow" and Blue? :D

Love the Dreadnoughtus custom.  Must have used a lot of paint!  You shortened the tail a bit too, didn't you.

Wow thats amazing makes you wonder how he will tackle sauropods, he going to give it a try am sure so have your pockets ready lol. I guess in a way it maybe easier to articulate and design just more codtly to make do to size.

At this point i hope he stays loyal to the 1/35 already heavenly invester into it lol

My WWD rex arrived yesterday, so I've been spending a lot of my spare time fiddling with the figure and loosening up the joints. After a few blow dryer treatments and a little patience, the rex has a very good range of motion overall, and can hold a decent range of poses with minimal or no support. My biggest criticism, which others have mentioned, is with the head and how the figure can't really look down. the figure can be tilted downwards, of course; but it would be nice to have a rex that can stare straight beneath it at whatever unlucky victim is in focus. Considering the rubber "hood" piece for the neck, I wonder if Silva could have tried fitting more joints underneath that would have looked unseemly (unseamly? heh) if otherwise exposed.
Overall I'm delighted, though; I'm having a lot of fun with the figure already, and of course the sculpting and paint are superb. This is definitely one of the best T. rex "toys" to own.

They're Here! Didn't get the email notification that these had shipped so it was quite the pleasant surprise to come home and find a massive box waiting on the porch.

And man are they ever pretty!

Spoiler

The 1/35 scale is a lot more fun to pose!

I opted for a "staring at the meteor" pose on the 1/18th offering, that is until I can find some decent support rods to help out the joints in a more active display.

But I couldn't resist posing it for a quick hunting pic!

The Exclusives are gonna stay in their box for the time being. Probably only need one of each of these things opened up and on the shelf and this way those exclusives won't risk getting broken or worn down.

What's everyone doing for storing the spare legs/feet? Looking for ideas so I don't have to just toss them back into the empty boxes.

Faelrin

avatar_Carnoking @Carnoking Man what a haul. I can't imagine how big the box was with all four of these. Well I suppose I can. My haul of 12 ceratopsians also came in quite the box last year, but you know, still.

avatar_Carnoking @Carnoking, that haul looks awesome together. I totally understand your display space concerns, though!

This is a good question, honestly; I haven't figured out a solution either, but I have enough figures with accessories that a separate storage option might be good. Maybe some kind of dedicated "spare parts" container to hide on a shelf?

Blade-of-the-Moon

Normally I do put them back in the box if I'm keeping the box, but for anything on hand I would just get those small cheap clear containers with lids and store the spare parts in them.
