I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but the scale of the Moros has been changed to 1:18 to better fit the size the model was planned to have.

Myself, I'm interested in seeing how the smaller ones like Moros or Dilong turn out. If I end up getting a model from this series, it would surely be one of those.

The kickstarter is still planned for this summer, isn't it?

Am I the only one who finds the tyrannosaur feet to be a bit flat? It's kinda weird looking. Maybe it's just me.

Now that you mention it.  The one on the ground especially looks pretty flat. I would assume there are reasons, stability, poseability, ect..

avatar_Concavenator @Concavenator Thanks for that info regarding the scale of the Moros. I'll update the op with that later today.

So, it's gone from being a too puny Moros to being a way too big Moros.  :)

Don't think this was shared yet? New concept art of the Dilong based on the concept sketch from Shannon Beaumont (who will also be doing the package artwork for it):

I have the original in the op alongside both of these for comparison (and archiving) purposes if anyone wants to do so.

By the way once the Yutyrannus gallery goes up I will add a pic to the complete prototypes section in the op as well. Four down, but many more to go.

Yeah I think this will absolutely fulfill my need for a 1/35 scale T. rex (although if Safari Ltd does a new one I'll probably still pick it up), even if most of the models I have in that scale obviously don't have that level of articulation, it should display nicely alongside them. I am going to be very curious to see how it will look alongside the Battat and Safari Ltd feathered T. rex figures I have in my collection that are about that scale as well.

Judging from the comparison images with the Triceratops and David's hand, it should scale well enough with most Wild Safari dinosaurs. You can always pretend it's a particularly large specimen like Scotty, Sue, and Victoria.

I'll just say it, the head sculpt on the BotM Yutyrannus is by far the superior sculpt compared to all other available brands, including PNSO.
It's just a darn shame that the feathers don't accurately reflect the fossil evidence. Whereas the PNSO one faithfully depicts a shaggy coat.

Now I'm really torn between the PNSO and BotM versions.

Have the sizes of these figures been announced?

Flaffy, I don't know if scale is important to you or not but the PNSO Yutyrannus appears to be 1/18 scale of the smallest paratype skull found (25 inches).  The PNSO feathers don't look a lot shaggier to me, but the figure has a bulkier body than BOTM's version.

Faelrin

I plan to get both to be honest, but that's probably not a surprise to anyone here lol. This has the lips and is also an action figure, where as the PNSO has the better feathering plus both are in different scales.

Anyways I'll the op updated in a bit to a couple of hours.

A @andrewsaurus I have not seen that info yet. If anyone knows about it please share it as it would do well to have that in the op somewhere. Granted when the kickstarter goes live that's usually provided, which seems planned for September now as of the post with the Yutyrannus gallery.

That Yutyrannus looks stupendous. Stellar's sea eagle was a perfect match for it.

The next prototype to be painted ought to be the 1/35 scale T. rex. Looking forward to seeing how that turns out.

Since it scales well with the 1/18th Triceratops I think this is the one I'm going to get. After I got my Centrosaurus in hand and it turned out to be way bigger than I expected, I might stick with some of the smaller tyrannosaurs.  :))

My collection! UPDATED 21.03.2020: Dungeons & Dinosaurs!

suspsy

David has posted an image of the 1/35 T. rex being painted on social media. Have to admit, while I wasn't happy when he first announced that the standard colour scheme would be based on the earless monitor lizard (I was hoping for a venomous snake instead), it has turned out to be a truly terrific colour scheme. That said, I'm still fully set on the Dino Riders version.

Surprised no one shared it yet David has started sculpting the Dilong, and I am already in love. Looks adorable.

Could've sworn Dilong had a thinner snout than that, even accounting for distortion.
