Well, yeah, PNSO and some other brands of Chinese origin...and of course most figures are made in China. Maybe I should have specified cheap Chinasaur? Not downright the worst of the worst, but one of the better cheap Chinasaurs? Clearly we need a better term.
"Cheaposaurs"?

Cheaposaurs sounds perfect.
Jurassic Park is frightning in the dark
All the dinosaurs are running wild
Someone let T. Rex out of his pen
I'm afraid those things'll harm me
'Cause they sure don't act like Barney
And they think that I'm their dinner, not their friend
Oh no

Having seen the Pachycephalosaurus in a 360° view now I have to say I am very underwhelmed, I hoped it would be one of the few passable Schleich dinosaurs but that is just a disappointment.
I will still get my hands on the Kaprosuchus and Ceratosaurus for sure as planned.
I might even give the Brontosaurus a try.
Depending on how much money I can throw out I may consider the pterosaur sets.
The mosasaur I'll try to get second hand probably to try to alter it a bit, but definitely nothing I would buy in new condition unless with a discount code.
get the papo or safari kapro instead, theyre much better
Shrek 4 is an underrated masterpiece

I Checked Schleichs Website, Which now has the New for 2021 products up.

And i looked at the Jet Pack and Helicopter Sets Just to see if they say what the Pterosaurs are.

Well The Jet Pack Guy comes with a Tupaxura

While the Helicopter will Smash into a Tepajara

I Still hope they will release the Pterosaurs on there own later in the year, But i doubt it will happen honestly ::).

I don't mind that it looks less saturated in hand but man, those teeth are sloppy, what a shame. Hopefully there's some less sloppily painted ones around.
And personally I'm sad the dark stripe on the head is gone, imo it adds a lot to the model.

Martwad

Was hoping the Kaprosuchus would have been smaller.  Appears that the scale is too large for my collection.

Based on that video i must say, i like the head, and the horn.

But the rest of the body, tail, hands, posture, are meh.

Faelrin

I agree that it could have been better in some ways (namely the paint quality control issues, such as the sloppy paint on the teeth and the odd choice of bright red for the tongue), but still far from their worst. Their sculpting is not bad at all on this. I appreciate the wash used for some of the detail too. Still think I may get this one once I can resume collecting. Size isn't too bad either.

I am curious about the color scheme. In Andy's vid it very much resembles the promo pic, but there was a pic shared here earlier by avatar_Takama @Takama where it looked to have a more reddish back, almost like the JP Ceratosaurus. Maybe in Rupi's vid as well? Could there be a paint variation of some sorts out there of this? I would be fine with either but I think I lean towards the more orange one like in the promo pic like seen in Andy's vid. Unless this is really a matter of lighting which can also alter how a figure's coloration can look.

? @Stolpergeist Will you be able to see it in stores? Would you be so kind to help out with my confusion about this?

Faelrin

? @Stolpergeist Thanks for all the help with this. I see that it is definitely the lighting causing it to look that way (minus that one section on Rupi's figure as you pointed out).

Out of curiosity to see what the prices will be once I can get back into things again, I saw that like Safari Ltd does here, Schleich has free shipping on orders at $50 or more in the US. I may have to take advantage of that once I can. Got a lot of their older models I'd like to pick up assuming they are still in stock by then. Figured I would pass this along in case it helps anyone here, or is of interest.

They never realesed set exclusives later a lot of the collecters forgot about their fantastic ammonites.I think the tupuxara is the best figure of the year but I am not giving 15 dolars to a small sized pterosaur  I reconmend picking up ankylo and bary from the last year if you didn't picked up.

The new swan is the schleich 2012 swan without chicks

PrimevalRaptor

Oh damn, that Mosasaurus head really is much better than the promo pictures.
The body looks a bit thin or even squashed in some areas looking from above, it's weird. Still feel it looks more like a sea monster you'd find on a map than a Mosasaurus, especially with those big scales and spikes (I guess we can "thank" JW for those) but in my opinion it at least has some kind of odd charme like a weird looking dog you see on the street.

Faelrin

I agree that the head is better then before (unless it is a paint issue but does it have a hint of a forked tongue as well?), but I think the proportions are still off. I like the iridescent paint on it though. Not sure how appropriate it is for such a large predator and it's particular lifestyle, but it looks nice anyways.

avatar_Wallnut @Triton TR Uh no?
The wing shape is different, the head looks in a different direction and the feet aren't visible on the new one.
It's a completely different new sculpt.

I didn't notice.

Libraraptor

Maybe I´ll even grab the Mosasaurus.

We can name the mosa as a different species of mosa you use the species for mosas having humpe, spike, little jaw,fin and thin tail Mosasaurus difiocus for short M.Difiocus.

NOTE:İt's just for fun don't think it's a real species of mosasaurus.

Shonisaurus

It is larger than you sincerely thought Schleich's mosasaurus is by far the top figure or rather the strong figure of Schleich's group of prehistoric animals. I think the two good Schleich figures this year are the aforementioned figure, the mosasaurus, and the brontosaurus.
